Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He will bring about at the proper timeβ€”He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal might! Amen.

This is a most splendid holding forth. It signals that Christian Faith is not a Faith the exists for the sole purpose of making our lives easy, safe, effortless. Out of being dashed against the Rock of Ages (inclusive of Adversity) for All Ages further signifies that there is a Supreme Imperium which compels us to choose between right and wrong, God's Laws or Man's Whims, or else do the bidding of Satan and thereby suffer the unhappy consequences.

Would that Man choose wisely that He not run to extinction.

Willing Spirit's avatar

Yes. The moral equivalency of Satan is very prevalent in our age and many are sucked in, believing it is the way of peace.

daverkb's avatar

This Satanic stuff is doing to deep six us miles under. The rest of the world looks at this stuff and is repulsed. I think that this egregious Satanic abortion has gone so far that it would take the Collective West a hundred years at least to recover. And then only if totally repented of.

Willing Spirit's avatar

Sadly too much of the rest of the world is likewise guilty of abortions.

I did see this bright spot of news.

I'm sort of there. My response to the ever-increasing evil is "whatever." By that, I DO NOT mean that I don't care and I am not doing what I can to fight the evil, but what ultimately happens to me, or anyone else, is not within my control. I have to trust God to bring me through it and make a choice not to worry.

Julie Ann B's avatar

I’m with you Anne. β€œThe Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2

ILoveherbs's avatar

Anne, thank you for this. There is sooo much that is out of our control. We can only control how we respond, as individuals. Thank you for this reminder!

Politico Phil's avatar

The congregations of America need to start responding not only as individuals but a the church militant with their feet firmly planted in God's law and their heads fully covered with the helmet of salvation. It's time to pick up the sword of God and engage the enemy in our nation. This is going to require a "new generation" of church leadership as the existing leadership of the church has, by and large, been co-opted by the enemy along with the rest of the culture.

Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

Just to be clear, I love the Rock. The wave? Not so much.

Margot Russell's avatar

I don’t agree Anne. Patriots and the wise and awake must get busy and unite peacefully. Millions across the world detest the Deep State, and we must find a way to unite together and oppose our fate. Read Alexander Durgin’s book β€œThe Great Awakening vs. The Great Reser.” It’s been banned but available at the publisher’s site for $4.95. The site is Arktos.com. Durgin pleads with us all to organize and spread the word about the Great Awakening.

Anne Clifton's avatar

I agree, Great Reflect, and I don't believe what I wrote is opposed to what you wrote. I'm not in favor of giving in, but I am having a hard time finding others who want to fight the evil. I seem to be among a group of people who are more interested in being comfortable. For me, it's a matter of coming to terms with the fact that things might get really bad. For instance, I used to worry about the government taking our money. Now I have accepted that they probably will at some point, so I am buying whatever I want or need, within reason, as well as donating to charities or individuals who need help. Since the terror attack in Israel I have decided I need to learn how to use a gun. My husband has been encouraging me to do so for a long time. I still don't really want to, but it seems prudent during this crazy time. We've certainly got thousands of terrorists in our own country and it's only a matter of time until they attack.

Thank you Jeff for the Michigan electors update and explanation. I believe the idea is to frighten anyone from questioning anything about the 2020 election or any going forward. As my wise pastor stated months ago, everything will be fought in court. Even if the case is ridiculous the state will bring charges knowing that most defendants do not have the wherewithal to fight a state who uses taxpayer money to prosecute their own taxpayers. What does a corrupt state government have to lose? Until these corrupt state AG’s are somehow held accountable, they will with impunity come up with these unproven charges and slow walk them while this state sinks into anarchy.

The Fifster's avatar

LAWFARE - Not that long ago this type of activity would be limited by budgetary constraints.

However that has gone by the boards as there are no longer any budgets. During covid all the blue states went "bankrupt" and were rewarded with the CARES ACT sending billion or trillion$ of printed Federal Reserve money to (shore up?) the blue states finances while the so called RED States were penalized? for running surpluses. When the law of Supply and demand is replaced with Modern Monetary "Theory" the result is the dissolution of Private Property and eventually Civilization...."Budgets?! WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' BUDGETS!

Neil Kellen's avatar

Republican AGs need to get in the game and start punishing their political opponents using those same tools.

Politico Phil's avatar

Indeed. Where are our AGs? They need to get engaged.

Politico Phil's avatar

Excellent summary! You just wrote a whole book in one paragraph. The Great Divide continues to widen. The blue states are going broke and the Woke Bolshevik Federal Government will increasingly tax the productive red states to support the blue states. At some point, the red states will be forced to divorce themselves from the blue states and the Fed Gov't out of self-preservation. The Fed Gov't will "not allow" this.

They don’t care. They have control and they will not relinquish it. They now say the quiet part out loud. They made the laughable attempted kidnapping of Whitmer last almost 3 years before they acquitted all arrested, knowing that this was all planned by the FBI. There was video after the 2020 election showing election workers and certifiers being threatened. The harm was done, the videos disappeared, and our election process was totally destroyed.

I live in MI. we re-elected the evil witches. There are no longer fair elections in MI. Trump and John James won MI and it was stolen from them in the dead of night. Shame on the Dems for such behavior.

Hotbeds of corruption in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, and Ingham Counties. Throw in Washtenaw with the incubator known as the U of M and you have the current situation. It's shocking to think that that the Republicans controlled all three branches of Michigan government as recently as 2017. They launched their attack with Whitmer in 2018 and haven't looked back, particularly with the perpetually hapless Mi GOP track record of "own-goals", Like the herpes simplex, the democrat virus is now deeply rooted in Michigan's spinal ganglia. I don't see how Michigan makes its way back. It's sad because I still own a house there that I have no interest in visiting.

Freedom of speech also means freedom not to speak. I will not use a pronoun that does not fit born gender and no one can force me to open my mouth and use one. "This human" works fine for me if you're going to push it, but refusal to engage at all works better. The whole thing is insane.

In the everyday, I'm thinking about a comeback like, "You don't have the right to disrupt my ordered thought process. I choose to keep order in my thoughts. If me keeping my thoughts ordered hurts your feelings, then I will be forced to discount you from my thoughts altogether." Then look past them or through them as if they aren't there, and for Pete's sake don't engage further.

Have NOT engaging (i.e., ignoring), NOT thinking about another, NOT permitting intrusion on one's being been codified as a hate crime?

Whip out phone with camera. I would think verbal assault (destined to come at some point against the person of ordered thought doing the phone videoing and not responding or engaging - even to the most vile onslaught; remember, the job at hand is to get the hate on video) could be a chargeable offense. At the very least, the video could be posted publicly on the web. It's not like the person of ordered thought is fabricating facts/”facts” and would be liable for slander. The hate might get the post canceled, violating terms of service and all that, but where's the hate coming from?

Just trying to think of ways to remove their influence from personal discourse, one sad, bent-on-manipulating-to-their-twisted-sense-of-satisfaction, mental case at a time. What have I missed in regard to this proposed tactic? Where could it backfire?

I think this Soros thing is part of the Apex Rulers having ordered a major pivot, a walking back at things. This was unexpected by me as to shuttering down, but I am not totally surprised either. And so many people are climbing all over themselves to reposition themselves in the new coming and in progress walk back. Jeffery Sachs, Mr. Sustainability and WEF contributor now seen talking another totally different talk in places like the Duran Channel on YouTube, Odessey, Rumble.

I fear that they the Apex Financial Power (the Hidden Hand) are merely shooting for Woke-lite marketed as a saner 'conservative' posturing. Many people will fall for this. Dana Hope's avatar

Thank you, Jeff, for the history lesson on pronouns. As a (former) English teacher I was unaware of this. The part of this pronoun nonsense that’s never made sense to me, other than not being grammatically correct, is we don’t address someone directly by their β€œpreferred pronoun.” It’s only when speaking OF them. For example, I wouldn’t say to Maddie who now goes by Matt, β€œHey, he” or β€œExcuse me, they.” πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

As one grammarian to another, I would point out that English is poverty-stricken in the matter of pronouns. Only 3 cases, 3 persons, singular and plural. Italian and Latin have a lot (confusingly lot) more--so much more information is 'encoded' in their pronouns.

Lauren's avatar

The Spanish word for non-binary is either 'no binario' or 'no binaria.' I love that because while it's still nonsense, at least it acknowledges the reality of biological sex! The Latin word homo refers to the species, and includes men and women. Whereas vir refers to a male/man and femina a female/woman. English doesn't have that distinction.

daverkb's avatar

How about Man and Mankind, both female and male inclusive. And then a man or male (not female). And then woman, female (not male). I think that is how it worked and very well ... until the Cretins started tearing everything.

And then there were boy and girls, and we from onset of birth and on through all of school and thereafter, always knew who the boys were and who the girls were. And then the Cretins stepped and ever since it's been an ungodly mess of chaos.

RunningLogic's avatar

Glad I can speak German which has declensions for masculine, feminine, neuter and plural. I whip out the neuter one a lot when I am expected to read the minds of the pronoun cultists. They want me to use their pronouns of illogical choice? I wap 'em with a reply in German! "Was sagst du?" [What are you (familiar form, not formal) saying?] usually gives them a nice mental shock, a pause forcing them to engage their brains. You want to pay crazy grammar games? I'm in for the win!

daverkb's avatar

This is undeniably true. And Greek such as was the New Testament used is said to be a very precise language. And yet English is one of the most descriptive of languages in use today if properly learned.

Diagramming language structure is what we once did. We learned parts of speech, clauses, phrasings and all sort of things about verbs. It was all for the sake of clarity of mind by orderly coherent speech. But now this is not studied ... and all is a Tower of Babel. It is all meant to keep our minds in a perpetual state of confusion. But the downside, is that the confusion invariably destroys the civilization. And then we pay the price in spades.

Jayne Evans's avatar

I've been told if you want to write a book these days you ought to write it to 9th grade grammar if you want it to sell well!

daverkb's avatar

Hi Jayne! This apparently has been the case for years and years.

The writing in America was pretty good up into and throughout the nineteen-fifties, even though the subversives were already at work. With the nineteen-sixties, and thereafter, the cry of trajectory has been 'excelsior and ever downwards'. You can see it in sentence construction as well as truncated, diminished vocabulary. It's almost like linguists met in the Hotel Trieste, submerged themselves seven miles down into the depths of the deep blue ... and then blew themselves up.

And this is strange. A number of years ago read something about how elite preparatory schools were urging that pupils were to learn to write and talk with simple words and simple sentence construction because this would allow for them to speak better to the masses by speaking to them on their level. And maybe there is something to this ... something like a brotherhood of the collective of dumbing down as a kind of tenet of Woke Idealism. Okay! Sounds rather 'out there' strangely bizarre! And yet if you look at almost any old line American family, each successive generation seems more stupid and licentiously degenerate than the previous. The abandonment in the schools and in higher learning centers of standards has led directly to the rise of Clown World in the upper echelons, both old line and nouveaux.

Yes!!!

I/me/mine would be amazing

Or β€œI feel at one with all of humanity, so my pronouns are β€œwe/us”

Imagine the complete confusion in the courtroom.

Michele's avatar

Yes, I have been saying if I have to have pronouns, mine are I/me/mine for years!!

Sad part is, when I say this, I just get those same blank looks from the woke as I got when I was naked faced in a store and they were masked, during the mandates. Breaks their brains.

Jasmine's avatar

Ha! good for you.

(love the name of your Substack! are you on Nostr?)

Thanks, no, SS my only soc media--too much as it is!

Jeff wrote: "In other words, he’s a doer, not a talker. His acceptance was described as β€œa speech without frills or sweeping ideological vision, marking a distinct change in tone from the left-leaning government that Luxon’s party ousted.”"

This put my guard up - a doer for whom?

He spent 18 years at Unilever and then was somehow qualified to go run an airline. This guy smells like a globalist cabal doer. He was "placed" at New Zealand airlines.

He also supported the NZ β€œno jab, no pay” policy for sanctioning welfare beneficiaries who do not vaccinate their children

https://www.apumone.com/christopher-luxon-net-worth/

In addition, it is reported: "In February 2021, it was revealed that while Luxon was CEO of Air New Zealand, its contracting business unit Gas Turbines was assisting Royal Saudi Navy vessels, despite them blocking essential supplies like water, food and medical assistance from Yemen. Luxon claimed to "have no recollection of it" and that "it might've post-dated my time" – the latter claim being disputed by his successor Greg Foran. It was met with criticism from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the Green Party's human rights spokesperson Golriz Ghahraman.[20] Luxon later admitted it "was a mistake" that Air New Zealand did not have a process whereby its chief executive would be told about all military contracts.[21]"

We need to be careful here in thinking this guy is the real deal. Time will tell.

Baya Sana's avatar

Indeed. Sure, he's better on economic policy than Labour (even a newborn baby would be) but was exactly the same as Jacinda when it came to vax mandates etc. Totally onboard with all that. Never questioned any of it or sought to hear the 'feral' Wellington protesters side of the story. Until he proves otherwise I regard him as another WEF stooge.

Sally's avatar

I believe he is another stooge and the people in NZ will not be much better off than we were with Ardern. Not much will change for the better. He does not speak out against the lies of climate change with more and more draconian rules being put in place that will bankrupt the farmers who are the life blood of the NZ economy.

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

I took it to mean a fellow with his feet on the ground, not too proud to be involved in what people really value.

Baya Sana's avatar

I like that side of him but he was far too vocal supporting the vax mandates and speaking against the Wellington protesters. Yet to be convinced he's not a total WEF head who will go all out authoritarian if it suits Klaus.

RunningLogic's avatar

Thank you for the local take!

Donna in MO's avatar

Well I got that his business experience meant he had spent time in the 'real world' but Jeff mentioning deodorant and ice cream - vs the more generic 'consumer products sales' I thought, wow that's an odd combination! But given the wokeness of too many corporations these days I am starting to thing business experience is not the feather in the cap of candidates it used to be.

Festivus is a classic Seinfeld episode and had me smiling immediately at the beginning of your blog!! The airing of grievances is needed at times so George and his Dad were on to something! Haha! Regarding my smile, I’ve felt sad all week over all the innocents that have died. We so desperately need light in this dark time and we get that light from Jesus and also our family, friends, community, comedy, sports, exercise, good food and your amazing blog Jeff. Thank you!

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

And woe is me---I never saw even one episode of that show. In fact, for a long time I didn't even know what was being referred to by mention of "seinfeld". Lower case intentional.

Tonya McKinney's avatar

It’s never too late to start...it’s on every night! Haha!! They are short episodes and make your smile!!

LuAnne's avatar

I'm no longer a TV person but Seinfeld was a fav of mine. One of my favorite episodes was Eileen and Jerry at the airport car rental desk. His reservation had been overlooked and they didn't have a car for him. He then began a long rant about the definition of a "reservation". 🀣

KATHERINE JERNIGAN's avatar

Isn't that a racist word now?

Karen Bandy's avatar

Only if it has β€˜Indian’ in front of it, car reservation is still ok!

Actually I’m just making that up, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if reservation was added to the racist list. Overpasses and Trees are racist now!!

LuAnne's avatar

I have no idea. I refuse to keep up with that nonsense.

Loretta's avatar

I was traveling with 2 of my kids a few years ago.

We were stuck behind the car rental counter because the attendant wasn't sure I had a reservation, although I had the confirmation.

While she was in the back speaking with someone, I pulled up this clip to show my kids.

At least we could laugh!

Tonya McKinney's avatar

Hahahaha I don’t think I’ve seen that one but I can just picture it!!!

Yes- Agee & it might be time to watch a few Seinfield episodes this week too!

The gender identity of a member of the public is a part of their individual identity, regardless of whether others agree or approve.” I'm old fashion and still struggle to understand this stuff. So, if I'm required to honor / use pronouns mine would be My Superior. so every time they address me they have to say , My Superior. Do I have this right? or how about? Jesus Saves'

Seeking Grace's avatar

@Gregg Keyes Exactly. Found out yesterday that my daughter is going to a wedding where the maid of honor is β€œnon-binary,” so β€œit” has decided to be called the β€œDuke of honor.” If my eyes roll any harder I’ll be able to see my brain πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

FourWinds's avatar

Unbelievable. Sounds like that "it" is trying to hijack the attention in the wedding party, which should be on the bride and groom. Disgusting behavior.

Johnny Be Real's avatar

Yes self-centered narcissism tries to force others to bend to their every whim.

Seeking Grace's avatar

FourWinds it’s all about attention, isn’t it? These people must have some serious childhood trauma (either imagined or real) to always be demanding attention like a toddler.

Queen Hotchibobo's avatar

Exactly. I know a girl who started this crap in college. At home, she was her parents’ little princess. Their only daughter whom they loved.

She owned big brothers, but they were just her servants. The toll her parents paid to finally get their girl.

She went off to university where she was just another freshman cog in the machine. By October her freshman year, she was a β€œhe” and taking testosterone shots.

It’s shameful that the adults in her life enabled and encouraged this. Now, she’s almost 28 years old and physically destroyed.

LS Woodruff's avatar

That trauma may refer to lack of discipline.....

Patti F's avatar

Oooh I was at a wedding when a gay couple got engaged on the dance floor in the middle of the reception. I thought it was tacky and taking away from the bride and groom. Do that nonsense somewhere else.

JW's avatar

Lauren's avatar

How about the Duke of Hazard?

Dr Linda's avatar

Here what confuses me: if you call yourself β€œDuke” isn’t that binary? Wouldn’t nonbinary be Maid/Duke?

Sara A's avatar

I had the same thought. Maybe she could combine the two. The Make of honor. As in SHE makes up her own reality and asks everyone to play along.

Dr Linda's avatar

That does seem to be the rule these days.

Yesterday I opened a mailing from Mutual of Omaha, offering me a "Don't Wait! ...next month you can breathe a little easier!" supplemental cancer coverage policy. Pointing out that 'over 1.9 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2023 alone (American Cancer [continuation/encouragement] Society, Cancer Facts & Figures, 2023". Could it be the shots?

Politico Phil's avatar

This is an attempt by the health insurance company to get cancer coverage out from under your comprehensive and catastrophic health insurance policy which would normally cover any claims like this. The companies know that a HUGE wave of cancer claims are coming and in fact are already seeing it. They have to find a way to sell a lot more policies or dramatically raise existing premiums to cover the claims they know are coming from vax induced cancer. Same for life insurance companies.

Sara A's avatar

Next we’ll see these insurance agents out front of stores alongside the vax guy, β€œget your vax today! …and insurance for tomorrow!” β˜ οΈπŸ’‰

There are two groups on FascistBook that I am aware of and the increase of young people since 2021 with advanced cancer at first diagnosis is noticeable. A young woman recently died after giving birth just two weeks prior. Dr. Makis from Canada was on The Highwire not long ago discussing the Turbo cancers. He is on Substack.

Politico Phil's avatar

This is happening in ALL age groups. The slaughter continues.

2nd Smartest Guy on substack has been posting a lot of studies about Ivermectin, Febendazole and Doxycycline and their anti-cancer properties, many can be used in tandem with traditional treatments.

Anyone with prostate cancer, please look up Doorless Carp on Substack and PectaSol. It’s modified citrus pectin, no downside and it has tremendous ability to lower PSA numbers- Doorless breaks down the numbers and Big Pharma won’t touch it because they can’t make money from it!

Very sad. Another child dies of heart attack:

"An eight-year-old boy from Israel has tragically died of a heart attack, three years after appearing in a government-sponsored video that promoted the COVID vaccine for children. Yonatan Moshe Erlichman suffering cardiac arrest while taking a bath. The child was taken to Hadassah Hospital in Mount Scopus in serious condition but died a few days later on September 28."

How many more children will dies because their parents gave them the shot. I'm in MI and I hear radio/TV ads put out by our governor Witchmer telling parents to "vaccinate" their children 6 months and older. This is genocide!

Tonya McKinney's avatar

That’s the second bath tub cardiac arrest I’ve heard of in a child. So tragic!
