When Dr. Ladapo or Dr. McCullough take over the FDA next year the rules on importing drugs from Canada will be relaxed. Personally, I got an Rx last month for an antibiotic that CVS wanted $805 for a 2-week supply. And that was with insurance. I had my doctor send the Rx to a Canadian pharmacy where I paid $70 for the same drug.

And they are still making money selling them in Canada or they wouldn't be doing it. They aren't charities. Shows how corrupt and captured the US system is.

Paul Ryan supported the ban on Canadian meds, ostensibly to combat the opioid crisis. I call 💩on that one. Narcotics are typically not overpriced. No response from Ryan to my written objection.

US prices are cross-subsidizing the cheaper prices abroad, guaranteed.

Truth - I used to be okay with this (SMH!) back when I thought pharma was mostly good and the CDC/FDA actually did the jobs they were created to do. Obviously things have changed.

I wouldn't call it subsidizing unless they are selling them abroad at a loss. I can guarantee that isn't happening as pharma isn't stupid. What's happening is that they are being sold at a (profitable) fair market price abroad but we are being price gouged here.

We really need to wake up and realize this isn't some free-market action pharma requires to stay profitable. We are being screwed over here because our government is corrupt and does pharma's bidding. Other countries don't put up with it. Does pharma not sell in those countries? No, they still sell there. That tells you all you need to know.

Regardless, the best action is too dramatically improve one's metabolic health and leave all these God-forsaken drugs behind. Read Gary Taubes.

So a US doctor can send a prescription to Canada? I can't imagine that any doc would say no when you show them the price difference.

You can get the Rx and email or fax to the pharmacy of your choice. Friend used BlueSky drugs for a med that wasn’t even currently available in the USA. Dependency on foreign countries for our drugs is a huge mistake!

Yes I can especially since they get a kick back for prescribing certain medications.

There's a _huge_ swing in prices for some drugs depending on who issues it, what deals they have with the makers, insurance, etc. I remember getting a prescription for something that my local pharmacy would fill for $400-500, but an online shop (ironically a couple of cities away from me) could fill it for $20-30.

Can you share the info on the Canadian pharmacy? Would love to support them. Even with Good RX my husbands drugs are expensive. Thanks.

Inhalers Online. They specialize in respiratory drugs but have a full line of prescription drugs. They do require a doctor's prescription.

Try BlueSky drugs. Reputable company. Like in the USA, their meds often sourced from India, but are vetted.

When the Pharma companies will lose their profits, there will be a “quick take down” of medicines coming from Canada in the form of them being laced with something AFTER they arrive in the US. They will say, “see, why aren’t more Canadians dying of “this or that”. Mark my words.
