Yeah, it was wild. Iirc over here, they worked on the basis that most people have a "personal space" of 1m, so they doubled it. I'm a runner, I had people literally jumping into traffic to get away from me - it quickly became clear that most folks are totally unable to judge any sort of distance. Especially when they've had the fear of god put up 'em by hysterical media etc.
Yes it was really ridiculous. I’m a runner too and while people weren’t quite so extreme here, I did have a few really make sure to go waaaay wide of me. It was rather comical but also sad.
