I am naturally polite to most people, but the problem is that the definition of "polite" has changed. A man opening a door for me used to be polite (and absolutely still is in my book) but now it's offensive, supposedly. It used to be fine to call trannies whackos, insane, potential child predators, and just plain weird, but now it's impolite not to call them women. If being polite means I have to listen to the narrative, whatever it is, and nod in agreement, I am out. Whatever. If the definition of polite has changed, and it obviously has, I don't give half a tuna sandwich who thinks I am not polite.

When I was dating, my father was insistent that if a young man did not open my door, pull out my chair, or stand when I returned to the table, he would not be granted a 2nd date (Heโ€™s from Gainesville, Jeff!). I lived by that rule, and I have encouraged my children to do the same (one is engaged to a fabulously polite young man, and the other is soon to be engaged to an equally impressive gentleman). I, for one, will keep insisting on politeness, and I will never be bullied into accepting anything less. My partner of 7 years opens my doors, pulls out my chair, and stands when I return to the table. If he hadnโ€™t, there would have been no date #2.

Love it Dee Dee...A lovely Southern college friend reported that after marriage her new husband forgot one day and left her in the car...she stayed there until he returned to open the door. Apparently they understood each other ever after...They have a great marriage!

CStone's avatar

On our first and second date, he opened the door for me. I did not let him after that, and Iโ€™m no feminist. And we just celebrated our 50th anniversary.

I think itโ€™s ridiculous for a man to have to open the door for a grown up woman.

If you have never watched the British show โ€œKeeping Up Appearancesโ€, you should. That is what women who insist their husband open their door for them remind me of, and their husbands must be like that husband, Richard.......I feel sorry for women who are so fragile they canโ€™t even open their own door, and their husbands who are obviously afraid of them.

RunningLogic's avatar

I understand your point and agree with it to a certain extent but I think itโ€™s all about how an individual perceived the act. If it was an important marker of respect and caring for her personally, why not? We all have things that are deal breakers and what might be important to you might seem silly to me, and vice versa.

CStone's avatar

I was talking about car doors. I didnโ€™t exactly make that clear, lol. It just seems to me that a woman who insists that he come around and open her car door just shows a domineering woman........a Kate Gosselin type. They make me cringe.

RunningLogic's avatar

I understood that and find it over the top as well, but if is some important symbolic gesture for a person and their spouse knows and understands this, I am not going to judge that.

CaliforniaLost's avatar

You are underestimating how lazy I am!! I still open every other door for her, maybe I am only 50% of a gentleman now. Well, maybe 65%, I still open her car door most of the time. Thing is, we rarely drive anywhere together.

My dad and grandfather pounded (literally) being a gentleman into my head, then got another does while a pledge by my fraternity. Walk on the street aide of the road, stand when she gets up from the table, carry everything. Never see any of that anymore.

Thank you for posting about the Nattokinase supplement a while back. Itโ€™s helped me a lot. I hope someday you might share other supplements that you take.

Roman S Shapoval's avatar

Vitamin A is the master of our hormones, and begins its absorption in our eye. Taking natto is great (vitamin A) but make sure you pair it with morning sun exposure (look at the sun 15 degrees off center)

How about red light therapy? My wife started a month ago and claims it's really helping her.

Roman S Shapoval's avatar

Thanks for asking Don. You just have to be careful with any kind of light therapy, as it can bring us out of natural balance. Sunlight has all the parts of the spectrum, and infrared is always present (42% of the total spectrum). Does she go to a clinic, or bought her own device? Just make sure to get AM sun as those frequencies can help balance everything else out. Sunrise has the most blue light, and I make sure to see it everyday. Blue light from our devices is a bit different, as it can become toxic. if we use it too much. I hope that helps answer your question?

Sharon Reeve's avatar

Blue light from LED lights is toxic but no one is talking about that. Bring back incandescent lights.

Cathleen Manny's avatar

Sharon Reeve - exactly! Every time I tell people this, I always get the same response: โ€œbut theyโ€™re cheaper to use!โ€. ๐Ÿ™„ No LED lights in my house. I donโ€™t care if the incandescents cost more to use.

AngelaK's avatar

I heard they are going to stop selling/making them.

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

Thank you. I appreciate your point that health is a balancing act. Your blood needs to clot, but it also needs to flow freely. You need to get excited sometimes and you need to be relaxed sometimes. You need physical activity and you also need rest. So maybe red light is helping to balance something from not getting a balanced spectrum? She is fair skinned and burns easily and doesn't get a ton of sun. So you wouldn't want to focus on red light exclusively once you're in balance. She bought her own device. We also recently discovered grounding. My sleep and pain from a torn hip labrum have improved dramatically since I started sleeping with a grounding sheet.

CarO Lyn's avatar

Gabriella's avatar

What oils or fats do you consume since cutting seed oils?

Extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil?

AB's avatar

Where did you get the grounding sheet if I may ask?

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

Just ordered it from Amazon. I saw the grounding movie and thought hocus pocus but I looked into it some more and said what the heck. It was around $60, but they have both cheaper and more expensive kinds. Super simple to use and I bet you notice a difference right away.

STH's avatar

Iโ€™m confused. Yes Natto and Vit A are great for different reasons. But Natto is not Vit A like your post implies? Nattokinase is made from fermented soybeans and possibly gobbles up the spike protein. Vit A is a good antioxidant that increases the immune system.

Roman S Shapoval's avatar

Hi Cheeky, sorry about that - I not only confused you, but myself. That what happens when you type too fast. Natto is K2 -which we need in order pair and absorb vitamin A efficiently. I remember reading about it on Weston A Price.

Kenny B's avatar

Wow! Another fellow Natto fan. Iโ€™ve been eating Natto since February. I get it from NY. The black soy bean flavor. And yes it really does wonders.

It's the same with the UNIVERSAL-Global-U.N. uniformity of resettling displaced or migrating populations around the world, on and on; so very efficient top-down management of problems and concepts, and word-perversion really. We truly are living in post-Enlightenment and sunsetting Modernist world the Neo-Globalist Order is upon us (1944 UN Charter initiated it into reality) and the various "societies", syndicates, clubs, and networks of NGOs and foundations and ultra wealthy families etc birthing it all into reality at every level and every culture group. Warfare includes words and phraseology and ideas and access to counter the Overlord Class. Talk about Culture Wars and Culture Revolutions--this is immersive reality; Imbibing in Rock-Pop-Rap Concerts, recreation, vacations, legal weed, legal gambling, pornography, home improvements, even charitable endeavors are distracting and sedating to what we're witnessing and our mobilization efforts to fight back are diluted to a very few serious minded and action-oriented individuals and groups. World wide Enlistment is required to defend against the Neo-Occultists who wrap their poisoned evil agenda in pretty packaging and fill it with artificial color and flavors to serve it palatably as a solution to our ills and a comfort to our pains. Do not succumb to it on any level--you will be termed a relic, throw-back, unreasonable, conspiracy theorist, Big Lie Believer, Denier, weaponizer of nostalgia, nationalist, threat to democracy, xenophobe and all manner of phobes, anti-progressive, anti-science, hater, ignorant, book-banner, intolerant, all these disparagements must spur you RESIST and to know the Dark HEART of your ENEMY that has sworn allegiance to all manner of control and Evil.

Truthseeker's avatar

BINGO. Parent-ectomies. Like China, they want kids to belong to the state.

In my state, bleed blue CT, we have guidance counselors encouraging troubled trans middle schoolers to change their names in school portals without parents knowledge or consent. And when parents were finally aware and have said โ€˜noโ€™โ€ฆ it required legal threats and actions to get the childโ€™s name changed back to their LEGAL name.

The agenda wants MINORSโ€ฆ to have more rightsโ€ฆ absent their parents guidance and care. I think a part of this agenda will be going after legal age of consent โ€ฆ for all things โ€ฆ medical transition to sex change, vaccination (we already saw that) โ€ฆ consent to sex.

In some โ€œgoodโ€ news. Over a year ago, Patriots in Michigan were made aware of a military maneuver going on at Camp Grayling in Grayling, MI. Camp Grayling is a national guard training camp located in the northern part of the lower peninsula. It is surrounded by thousands of acres of public use woods, trails, and small lakes. Last year word got out that the military wanted to expand Camp Grayling by 160,000 acres. The stated purpose was to install new spy technology used to train the guard. There was immediate pushback from those who live and use the surrounding land for recreation and livelihoods. The northern small press gave it some coverage, but as is always the case, the state press said nothing. There were groups diligently working on this but as with so many things it feels like fighting whack a mole. Add to this the proposed CCP Gotion battery plant not a 100 miles away and you have some scary stuff. But it was announced by one lone independent journalist yesterday, that the Michigan DNR had denied the request by the military to annex the land. I am still skeptical that something more odious isnโ€™t planned but for now, I will accept a huge victory.

Janet's avatar

We just found out a giant empty rotting Motorola plant (1.8 million square feet of building alone) outside of town (northern Illinois) has been taken over by the CIA. There are Federal keep out signs all over and cameras. A county zoning member told us. It had to be completely remediated of mold and falling ceilings water damage, etc. opened in 1998โ€“closed in 2003 because Motorola insisted on making ANALOG phones there. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. Empty ever since. The last โ€œbuyerโ€ was arrested for Canadian securities fraud so the Feds took it back recently. CIA huh. Wonder if theyโ€™re hiring or pay property taxes. Hmmm. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

LMWC's avatar

Everyone wonders why not take over all these crumbling automotive plants all over southeastern Michigan for battery plants. Why annex farm land or wooded properties away from this area for new plants? Why does the CIA want a plant only open 5 years and closed over 20 years?

Janet's avatar

Good question. Perhaps a CIA contractor will be there. Itโ€™s in the middle of cornfield country 2 hours outside of Chicago. There is a huge empty car plant just 30 miles away in Wisconsin.another one 25 miles away. A big dairy processing plant just 3 miles away closed in September. Itโ€™s been there 50 years. I wish I knew more but we are being hollowed out all around us.

Honestly Iโ€™m not sure anymore. They tend to get buried in the hundreds of comments. So Iโ€™m sorry but I wouldnโ€™t know how to point you in the right direction at this point. I wanna say one of my comments that had a lot of interaction was down the list pretty far.

Any time you find someone on Twitter that disables or restrict comments (Bill Gates is notorious for doing this), get around it by Retweet with Quote and make your comment public. Copy them on it with their @ name and call them out for trying to stifle your freedom of speech.

We need to start teaching our kids how to defend themselves against some of these crazy people, some of which are all hopped up on hormones. Too many videos of kids getting beaten up lately. I keep remembering SING from Miss Congeniality. If a man-girl comes at you in the ladies room, teach him heโ€™s still a man with a knee between the legs. Weโ€™ve gone off the rails being nice and tolerating being bullied by a small faction.

I have a friend whose then 11 year old grandson got a brain abscess while they were on vacation in summer of 2021. It predates kids getting the C-19 jab. I always assumed it was related to him having to use a mask all day at school which I knew from things his grandfather said was this child's reality. It had to be a rich broth of organisms in the nose and sinuses. Then getting in an airplane for a long flight....Of course that is just my speculation as to why it could have happened.

My physician hubby strongly believes it starts in the nasal pharyx, so the masks could have absolutely caused these issues prior to the jabs...

Iโ€™m a Netipot fan! Got to rinse out the nasopharynx nightly to prevent germs from replicating in there!

My husband swears by the Navage system... he is convinced it is way better than the nedi pot. But whatever works for you!

InquizitiveOne's avatar

Iโ€™m intrigued by Navage but the netipot with distilled water, Saline, and a bit of povidone iodine in it has been wonderful for me! Dr Peter McCullough said the mere act of flushing the sinuses reduces your risk of getting sick from Covid by 8 times!

Dirty masks, lower immunity from vaccine shedding all lead to this most likely.

He may have been shed upon as well.

One problem I have with MAGA supporters is many refuse to take the small wins.

We got into this mess by communist/globalist incrementalism, and that is most likely the way out. Sure, I want big wins, too. But I will not give up small wins for no wins.

I will definitely take SB252 right now. It's better than nothing. At the same time, we need to get right on a follow-up to plug the holes in it....like right now. The WHO is coming.

Peregrine's avatar

Perfect is better than good, but good is better that medical tyranny.

I suspect the future includes massive court battles with the WHO which will put Constitutional Federalism to a supreme test.

If the globalists can legally destroy US Federalism, they can destroy the US Constitution, and then it's game on for either secession or a civil war.

I hope enough Americans wake up fast enough to avoid either.

But there WILL be a reckoning of some sort.

Yes, it's better than nothing, but this whole switching-the-original-bill around thing, and taking out some of the real clout makes me go, "Hmm." I guess Politics will always be something I just don't admire. And, yes, the WHO is coming for us. I would like to see a political leader stand up to them. There are a couple of senators and reps that have that kind of courage, but they're not presidential hopefuls.

Credenda's avatar

But so many people then settle for the small wins. People lose enthusiasm to keep pushing and then it becomes incrementalism in reverse again.

Peregrine's avatar

No.

Accept the small wins.

But push for the big wins.

It's all about momentum.

Credenda's avatar

Agree. We have to keep pushing and not lose momentum. Just observing what Iโ€™ve seen as a former Tea Party person. We got some wins and then everything stalled. Then went back to status quo. Very disheartening.

Another great post - indeed โ€œretconningโ€ is an excellent word

On Randiโ€™s rehab tour, I have one question - WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THAT MONEY THEY GOT FROM THE COVID PANIC?

Thank you.

This is about Lia Thomas...and all the other males competing against females in sports today. Hits the nail on the head!

In March, World Athletics banned men from women's sports if they did not "transition" before puberty. This means no trannies in the Olympics. I can hear the trannies now: waaaaaaah! It's a start, but common sense would dictate that no biological male can ever be on the same level as a female. They promised to keep "discussing it", which likely means some jerk will try to get it reversed. Disgusting.

Maggie Think of Me's avatar

I fear that it will mean these wacko mom's that push this mental illness garbage will think they just need start sooner...castrating their sons earlier, to ne able to compete against females in female sports...

Jaci's avatar

I would think more would hear that puberty blockers in males cause stunted growth in the same place that a certain amount of the stunt is needed for the vagina plasty.

Maggie Think of Me's avatar

Not so quick... several males competed in the Olympics in Tokyo as females.... weight lifting for one... then someone said wrestling....?

There is big money behind the Trans Movement, and much of it centers in Kalamazoo, Michigan, which is also the home of Pfizer. The Stryker Corporation is a medical device corporation, which now has long tentacles and deep pockets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLXdoqXbC6k and
