America will lament the loss of Gabbard...she was a warrior with a pure heart!

Beckadee's avatar

I'm glad we have her for another 5 weeks! A lot can happen in Trump World 2.0!

at some point I hope Jeff lists her accomplishments as they are plentiful

Beckadee's avatar

We need to do that work ourselves IMO. Jeff has covered a lot of her stuff.

Just being the fresh and trusted eyes of the people on the cesspool that the deep state had become was precious beyond words. And I feel confident she has set it on the right course now and I trust my government a bit more, as a consequence.

Abraham. One of the strongest male names. Ever. Dear Lord, please guide Abraham and his lovely Tulsi through this difficult time and allow them to come out the other side stronger than ever. Together. And if it's not too much to ask, please smite the demons in the "main stream media/propaganda machine" beyond hell. Amen.

K Tucker Andersen's avatar

Tulsi was a breath of fresh air. A clear thinker who always called it she saw it and was not afraid of the untruths bricks thrown her way. When a friend of mine early in 2020 asked me if there was any Democratic presidential candidate that I would vote for, I immediately answered Tulsi. How impossible it was for her to gain support and how she was sabotaged by the party leaders for being out of touch with their radical agenda literally forced her to,leave the party. Think how different those four Biden years would have been if it would have been a President Gabbard in charge.

Thomas F Davis's avatar

Tulsi is not a lying evildoer, and those who blocked her rise in the Democratic Party obviously were.

cat's avatar

I agree. I believe it was Hillary who smeared Tulsi with the "Russia, Russia" narrative the same time similar BS was being thrown about regarding Trump.

Lisa Ricketts's avatar

Bingo! Hillary has had decades of practice smearing bills bimbos, so it is second nature to her at this point. Remember her insistence that "... a vast right-wing conspiracy" was to blame for her husband diddling a 25 year-old intern in the oval office humidor? As though the republicans were responsible for hiring a young starry-eyed bimbo/intern for a Democrat President. Lol

I am looking forward to phase two of the fraud indictments, the part where all the defendants testify that government officials, including Tm Walz, were in on the action through laundered kickbacks. There simply is no other explanation for how this fraud was allowed to occur at such a scale for such a long period of time. Politicians had nothing to gain by allowing this scam unless they were in on the action. Period.

Jpeach's avatar

Hopefully some lower level fraudsters will turn on upper level fraudsters, right up to Omar and Walz.

It is utterly mind boggling how all of this was allowed to happen! The numbers/statistics speak for themselves! The increases in funding levels are unimaginable. There are way too many politicians that either do not care or turned a blind eye for this to happen. And this travesty has happened on the watch of the majority of people in congress! They truly need to be fired! They have no care or concern whatsoever for the everyday American taxpayer!

Debbie Wagner's avatar

The politicians did not ā€œturn a blind eyeā€. They were IN ON THE SCAM!

They had no incentive to allow such massive fraud unless they also profited. I want to know who ALL the conspirators were and I want them ALL held accountable. And I want assets seized and all the money returned to the taxpayers.

Rob's avatar

This is a "follow the money" moment, kickbacks would not surprise me as there was plenty of stolen money to go around.

Barbara Lee's avatar

Yes, utterly mind boggling. But what do you expect when you hand over your tax dollars without push back. Here’s the fix: I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest the ā€œfixā€ is actually simpler than you might think . How? separate spending from funding. Elected politicians can and should propose spending BUT ONLY citizen taxpayers should APPROVE FUNDING . I.E. distribute decision making across the entire taxpayer population . This will tend to put a hard stop to fraud and waste if given the help of DOGE. Every taxpayer must assign their tax dollars for or NOT for each spending bill proposed. Make a bill obtuse and unintelligible? No problem. Just say ā€œno you can’t use my tax dollars for that.ā€ Bills that taxpayers agree to fund get annual audits and review ie can the government continue to use my tax dollars for this? The result: Budgets then shrink or swell based on performance and the will of THOSE who actually fund the government. If everyone with skin in the game (ie taxpayers) did this, graft and political manipulation would approach zero. Nothing focuses the mind, sharpening the senses more than having one’s own hard work stolen and misused. And nothing would do more to unite Democrats and Republicans than everyone getting the governance they want TO THE EXTENT THEY WERE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. Note: non-contributing citizens and non-citizens ARE NOT allowed in this assignment. Why? Because they get their say when they vote for or lobby their representatives who propose the spending. But if they aren’t actually paying taxes for government services, then they shouldn’t get to fund the government! This is the step change needed in our constitution! And would do a great deal more to secure our God given rights than all the pontificating party politics or all the social media complaining or all the useless dumb ass protesting.

Lisa Ricketts's avatar

I think the ability to use AI to summarize and bullet point the key aspects and spending, downfalls and upsides of each Bill prior to a vote in Congress and available for public comment for a minimum of 2 months would be helpful. No last minute Bills pushed through, "...you can find out what's in the Obama Care Bill after you sign the Obama Care Bill." A la Speaker of the House Pelosi!

SHug's avatar

Oh but that "blind eye" kept them from being called --- "Racists" Gasp! Oooooh so scary!

Karmy's avatar

I recently read that that’s why Walz was picked as VP for Kamala. Because of this fraud program that benefited the Democrats.

Debbie Wagner's avatar

Yes. He came with nearly unlimited funding from taxpayer supplied cash.

william howard's avatar

more than the indictments is a new game plan to make sure no more

Linda's avatar

I agree. But it’s also true that if those who are now engaging in fraud are sent to prison and/or deported as the case may be, it would have to be a deterrent to others who might try to get away with it. There must have been a kind of assurance that they would get away with it - Probably from higher-ups who cooperated. But if they are all put away…. Surely some would be the wiser and not attempt it.

Valoree Dowell's avatar

Yes. And $90 million is petty cash in MN. The dfl is complicit. If not direct payoffs, wired to make the system fail proof. The ICE Out theater here was just to ramp up the ā€œnot in my neighborhoodā€ practitioners creating a media shield to what is really going on here. It’s beyond shocking, just demoralizing as we pay and pay and pay. Yesterday I read that the Hennepin cty attorney (Minneapolis) not only let a convicted murderer out of prison, but gave him $4.3 million in ā€œback pay.ā€ And there’s nowhere to turn.

I Do Try To Be Positive, Though Sometimes It’s A Struggle.

When things are going right, the family is happy, work is going well, we’re getting good breaks, we know God is in control, He is on the throne, He’s directing our steps. But having faith doesn’t exempt us from difficulties. The storms of life come to every person. Someone walks out of our life, we lose someone to an illness, business slows. In the difficult times it’s easy to ask, God where are you? How could you let this happen to me? We have to keep our faith.

The same God that is in control in the good times is just as in control in the tough times. God will not allow a storm unless He has a Devine purpose for it. We see these storms as negative, but sometimes God will direct the winds of the storm to blow you to where He wants you to go. God knows how to shift the winds so instead of blowing you backwards it blows you forward, where you not only come out better and stronger, but that storm will move you to a place of greater blessing, greater influence.

A lot of people say they have faith but in the tough times they fall apart. Their not going to be happy until the storm is over. We should use our faith to believe that when the winds stop blowing we will be exactly where God wants us to be.

The apostle Paul had been arrested and appealed his case to the emperor. As he was getting on the boat to go to see Caesar he told the captain and crew it’s not a good time to sail, there’s a storm. They put Paul onboard and headed out to sea. Not long after that they ran into the storm. For 14 days they forged through the raging seas, there was no sunlight it was completely dark. The crew began throwing equipment overboard to try to stay afloat. Eventually the wind became so strong and the waves so big they could not control the ship any longer. The crew took down the sails and let the wind blow the ship wherever the storm wanted it to go.

There comes a point when you’ve done everything that you can, you prayed, you believed, you stood in faith, now you have to relinquish control. Let the storm take you where God wants you to go. Say God I trust You, where You take me is where I’m supposed to be. At one point the crew went up to Paul and admitted they should have listened to him and not sailed.

The ship ended up hitting a sandbar and broke apart. They all swam to the small island of Malta. On that small island the chiefs father was extremely sick, Paul prayed for him and he was healed. One by one they brought other ill people to Paul, he prayed and they were healed. Paul ended up sharing his faith and the whole island came to know the lord. God used the winds of that storm to push Paul to people in need. The storm may have been meant for your harm but God knows how to direct the winds to take you to a place where you can be a blessing to someone else in need.

On the way out of the storm don’t be surprised if you have interruptions, inconveniences, not what you had planned. As you reach out to others in need, as you help the fallen, as you encourage those that are down, as you become a friend to the lonely that’s when your breakthrough will come. Pray one for another so you will be healed. One of the tests we all have to pass is being good to someone else in the midst of our storm. Happy Saturday! Hope you all have a blessed Memorial Day Weekend. J.Goodrich

Excellent post! In addition, I find it fascinating how insulated most of us are when we ask for God's help, then get frustrated when it isn't provided immediately. I suppose it is sort of a "butterfly effect" thought, but i think about the fact that millions of us are asking for help of various types all over the world at every moment. Many conflict with others' requests and all will have "unintended consewuences". Yet somehow our Creator deals with each one. (Yes, No, or Not Yet). And He does this inside space and time. Think of how many things have to fall in place, get adjusted, start/stop all over for just my requests to be dealt with. He is bigger than we can comprehend, and can do anything he chooses but chooses to follow the rules he created in his relations with us.

When the MN anti-fraud offensive began a year ago, I noticed that almost every federal cabinet-level agency was involved: DoEd going after the school fraud; HHS going after the health care fraud; the IRS for obvious reasons; Small Business Administration for business fraud; Dept of Transportation for the high speed rail to nowhere; obviously DoJ. About the only part of the government NOT investigating MN was the Department of War. Perhaps they have other plans for MN. At any rate, I said at the time, MN was a dry run for the big enchilada, Kollyfornia. I believe that. I think the feds are taking notes on how best to carry out these investigations and indictments and that Gruesome and his ilk are next in line.

Call me sexist if you like.

Tulsi, Pam, and Kristi ALL shined thru in ways that men can't.

Inspirational characters to be sure.

But I suspect their forays into the rough and tumble world - because they are women - exacts a degree of physical/emotional toll that GENERALLY men are more 'girded' for.

Thatbsaid, there are exceptions to every rule.

Curtis's avatar

As I recall, Trump once said something like; "A man can generally do a better job than a woman, (SEXIST!), but the right woman can do the job better than ten men..." (crickets...)

Damn the torpedoes's avatar

Tulsi did an exceptional job in a very short time, as has Marco. But it Marco’s wife was AA sick as Abraham, I’m sure Marco would make the same decision that Tulsi has. And Trump would insist.

Karen Bandy's avatar

It’s true, men and women are different, thank goodness.

mspring's avatar

A great observation! I suspect Pres Trump selected women for their positions in part because he knew how media/left/regular people would react to a female in the position and the issues vs a man. I also suspect that when He tapped them, he informed them of the strategy, and perhaps about how long they would have. The man worked with both sexes in business, real estate, construction, media/entertainment, observed how folk react, and used that knowledge.

Jeffrey N. Gratton's avatar

In a former life I had business contact (in a very small way) with the Trump Organization which included once making a presentation at Trump Tower headquarters in Trump Tower. Class Act people 100% ... and LOTS of Latinos and women in key positions there.

Another question on why such bad things happen to good people. Why could this not have happened to Fauci, Gates, Baric and the list goes on. Infuriating.

Johnny-O's avatar

Ex CIA Larry Johnson and Ray Mcgovern posit that it has more to do with the warmongering than her husband's cancer, and they have inside sources. If that's the case, I wish she would have publicly said so.

Proberta's avatar

"...more to do with the warmongering..."

First anti-war Massie is gone.

Then anti-war Joe Kent 'resigned'.

"I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby." - Joe Kent

And now anti-war Tulsi 'resigned'.

"A war with Iran would make the war in Iraq look like a cakewalk. The devastation and the cost would be far greater than anything they’ve ever experienced." - Tulsi Gabbard

Being anti-war in 2026 is like being anti-vaxx was in 2020.

Leo's avatar

Proberta, Interesting point. So, to stay in the game now, means to be all out pro war/kill.

The level of evil in people who take advantage of the weakest and most vulnerable in our society is truly beyond my comprehension. And that goes for the MSM as well. Where would we be without the excellent comprehension and writing of Jeff Childers?

Terminate and prosecute all, ALL the fraud committed by recipients of our government's largesse, and I betcha America's deficit will shrink to a total of about $250.

And yes, "Sir" Paul McCartney does look a lot like The Hillaroid. Scary ... and sad.

Sherry 1's avatar

There also should be DOGE people assigned to design rock hard guardrails AGAINST fraud to ensure people can’t ā€˜game’ the social programs. One place to start is to remove NGO’s completely from the money handling arena.

Richard Whitney's avatar

I agree that all programs committing fraud should be shut down.

The biggest one, though, was the TARP program, which handed out hundreds of billions to banksters and Wall Street grifters.

If you look at a graph of our public debt, it skyrockets after 2008, when their fraud collapsed Wall Street and the government stepped in to bail them out, and put the bill on the public debt.

Mrs. RW

Richard Whitney's avatar

I looked it up. The TARP Act expired, but now they have a different grift going on.

From AI:

''To keep the financial system stable, the U.S. government relies on a permanent, highly active infrastructure run by the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Rather than passing one-off legislative bailouts like TARP, the government utilizes automated backstops, regulatory adjustments, and massive daily financial plumbing to protect Wall Street and the banking sector.''

Thank you for clarifying the Kennedy’s PREP Act announcement! I wasn’t worried in the least because good grief, LET THE MAN WORK, but it is so annoying to see purported MAGA and MAHA followers be so fickle.

Kennedy has proved his bona fides for DECADES. He doesn’t strike me as a man who loses his courage or values less than 18 months in office.

It’s not that I think Kennedy (or Trump, or any one in his admin for that matter!) is perfect, but they are the best we have EVER had fighting for us at the highest level and agree with every single point or not, I think we should get out of our own way and let them do the hard dirty work to save America!šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Matt L.'s avatar

The overreaction to Kennedy is an indication of cult behavior. And I’m not trying to disparage the MAHA movement in any way by saying so (I support MAHA!). But, there are MAHA people w/ X accounts that embrace too black/white thinking and comportment. And this makes the movement look at times, unhinged to the normies we walk amongst. Jeff having to fall all over himself in explaining this (and asking not to be cancelled) indicates some of these same cultish-MAHA people are part of the C&C Army.

Lori Bishop's avatar

This is why Kennedy acted, it’s the only way to make this drug available to those with, and exposed. Clinical trials of treatments for seasonal influenza have been performed in Japan and the US, and favipiravir was approved as a treatment for novel or re-emerging influenza viruses in Japan in 2014. However, favipiravir (AviganĀ®) is only considered for administration to patients when the government judges that this drug will be used as a countermeasure for novel or re-emerging influenza viruses.

Susanna Bythesea's avatar

This is a good point, Matt L., and helpful for considering how people are responding in ways that seem - even to me - too extreme. A lot of times our reactions say more about us than about the event or person we are responding to…

Leo's avatar

So.

Healthy kids bill Medicaid for millions.

Meanwhile my own health insurance refused to pay for a daily home health nurse to administer my IV antibiotics following a recent ruptured appendix. Leaving me to manage not only my recovery and such but also operating clean and sterile procedure to self-administer daily doses of the stuff myself.

What a joke. Not good for patients for many reasons. Obviously the financial bottom line to the insurance is all they care about.

Yes - the fraud feels even worse when compared with how the normal folk are treated - I'm thinking of how intensely investigated schools are with having to account for every penny of government funding. And how citizens bend over backwards having to send in hard-earned tax dollars to the IRS.

Lori's avatar

How are you feeling Copernicus? Ruptured appendix is a big deal.

Copernicus's avatar

Thanks. Better than I was four weeks ago. 😳

Still get tired easily. But making progress day by day.

Lori's avatar

Good to hear it Copernicus. Do you have any idea on when you may be fully back to rights? Are your docs being of service to you at all?

I wish and pray for your continued healing that it may be quicker than you think. Please keep us posted on how you are.

I received good care. Was able to decline the things I didn't want (body wash with antibacterial wipes; nightly heparin; hand sanitizer up my nose "to keep you from getting nasty hospital bugs" and I said, I brought a good microbiome with me and I would like to take it home; and acetaminophen.

Thankfully I have a good functional med chiropractor who is supporting my recovery alongside what I am doing at home.

I was able to use a variety of homeopathic meds while in hospital and after such that I was able to use far fewer pain meds. And was able to address my post-op ileus with homeopathy and able to avoid the irritating stool softeners and such that they were offering.

All in all, it was not a bad hospital experience, given that I had to be there. I am grateful for the care I was given.

Surgeon said it takes about two months to feel back to normal.

Of course, this experience was layered on top of deep grief over the unexpected and sudden passing of my spouse six months ago. I wouldn't doubt that it was somehow a consequence of that and was my body's way of expelling something at some sort of energetic level.

Lori's avatar

Glad to hear the care in the hospital was good and your follow up at home is with a functional doc. Homeopathic medicine is excellent and far safer than Big Harma.

I have no doubt the passing of your beloved had a place in this, no doubt. You lost part of yourself the day when your long loved spouse unexpectedly passed. You had no heads up and it was so sudden. That is a double whammy.

You have a good group here that will pray for you and always offer an ear. I look forward to the day when you say you are back to yourself 100%.

Blessings to you Copernicus.
