About the TX law re: transgender and docs being personally sued....

I posted this a few weeks ago, but it was way at the bottom of the comments so I’m not sure if anyone saw it. We have a personal friend who’s a rep in the TX legislature. My Husband was talking to him the other day and he said that there will be a bill introduced this spring that allows JUDGES to be held PERSONALLY LIABLE if they give a defendant who’s already been convicted of certain crimes a no or low bail and that person commits a crime and injures or Kills an individual while out on bail. In the event of death, the family will be able to sue to hold the judge accountable.

It may not pass, of course, but I love this. Many other jobs have to carry insurance in the event of malpractice or injury (I even do as a massage therapist), so why not judges? It’s one way of reigning in crime and I like it.

Valerie,

I hope it passes! Liberal judges need to enforce the law, and not their personal agendas.

Fantastic idea but all politicians at any level should be held to same

How would that work? Politicians make laws in conjunction with other politicians, how would one person, or a group, be able to be held accountable?

¿Quién sabe?

As a start, any politician, judge, military or other “public servants” - all of whom swear to uphold the Constitution - if any try to undermine, circumvent or defy it would be immediately removed from office & any such proposed legislation that does same would not see the light of day & certainly would not be allowed to be voted on.

Does anyone really believe that when these assholes of both parties vote (esp “bipartisan”) on thousand page bills that get dropped so close to the vote that no one reads them…AND that invariably are meant for US & not THEM - that they don’t know or understand whether those are constitutional or not?

Well omnibus bills are killing our country. I want single issue bills only.

Dream Dream Dream. That’s another avenue used to push through all sorts of unconstitutional & horrible stuff meant for us but not them

That is a FANTASTIC BILL and angle to keep judges in their lane with dignity. Way to go for those legislators, even if it's not passed that year.

Interesting idea that would require judges to carry insurance. I wonder how the actuaries would determine appropriate premiums?

Obviously I don’t know all the details and it won’t be presented til the Spring, so I don’t know if any details are available yet.

I think that should apply to DA’s/Prosecutors who let the criminal off so they don’t even get before a Judge. Those people are responsible for a LOT of the rise in crime b/c there is no punishment. Also, the crime statistic’s are meaningless as so many Soros DA’s/Prosecutors let these criminals off without charges multiple times - no charge, no record of the crime.

What a great bill. I hope it gets passed and becomes law. Let’s make it go viral

Used to listen to Michael Berry out of Houston (my dad used to live there) a lot. It seemed like every week he was reporting on crimes committed by repeat violent criminals given minuscule sentences or ridiculously low bail by traitorous judges.

It’s SO MUCH here. So many are let out on $100 bail for really heinous crimes, and they’re already felons.
