We went once and it was underwhelming. Hot, long lines, prices were high, (water bottles were $3 and this was the late 90's) none of the rides were anything more special than the theme park in our own town. Oh they were excited about meeting and getting their picture taken with some of the characters for about 5 min, but when we got back they were mostly telling their friends about the alligator park we went to on a different day.

We went a long time ago, just my mom, my little sister and I, while my dad was at a business meeting. I thought it was okay but I had zero desire to go back. Just didn’t see the appeal. But I’m not much for amusement parks anyway.

I used to love them, especially roller coasters. But by the time I hit mid 40's a lot of rides ended up making me nauseous, especially any of the spinning ones, so it's not worth the price of admission for me anymore. But reminds me of a funny story. My son's orchestra class in 7th grade got rewarded for placing in a state music contest and had a day at the local amusement park. I went as one of the chaperones, was sitting on the bus a few rows back from my son when this cute girl comes up to him and croons "Luuuuke, I'm scared of roller coasters, will you ride with me?" He gets all puffed up and says, sure, roller coasters are my favorite. He had NEVER ridden a roller coaster when he was with us, hubby and I took turns sitting out the ride as he was afraid and would either refuse, or head out the 'chicken exit' every time, whereas my daughter was game for anything. I was sitting on that bus laughing my butt off but didn't rat him out. He ended up riding roller coasters all day that day,
