They’re not our people and I expect they’ll get bored and go away after a while. Regular readers of C&C love Jeff’s well-supported optimism.

I post Jeff's C&C everywhere. Begging them to come get educated, informed, able to think on their own and break free from the anti-American globalists, their uniparty operatives and deep state institutional democracy.

We have to educate them and I can't think of a better way than to give them a dose of C&C - its not a vaccine, it really works and won't injure or kill you!

I realize this means we will hear from some of them on here as they struggle to come to grips with reality. But the folks on here are smart, when the loons spout off, we hammer them with more reality, don't be afraid to pile on with a dose of reality. It is good for them and demonstrates the vast majority of regular Americans get it.

Don't be shy about going to battle against these pathetic human beings. Their intellect is only as deep as the talking points they've been issued.

I'm careful about where I share C&C. My reasons for that care:

1. Jeff's posts would be wasted on radical leftists, except that they provide insights into Trump's strategies. Sure, anybody could look up the posts for themselves, but I'm not going to hand the [possible] conservative playbook to the other team.

2. I've spent too many minutes in my life trying to talk sense into people who aren't ready to embrace it. If I think someone is ready for a wider understanding, I will toss some tidbits their way and see if they ask for more. If not, I look for someone else.

3. I want to protect Jeff from needless attacks from the left. The fewer on the enemy team who are aware of him, the less of a target he is.

I understand your position but I emphatically disagree. If we don't take the time to educate them, we can continue on the path of resentment, hate and division.

And again, we should not stand by while one person takes a loon on. When you see it, engage.

I want the left to see we aren't lunatics and there is a place where they can gain information they urgently need to realize how they have been badly misinformed. If we stay in our info silos they will never get it.

I agree, its unfortunate they are so brain warped, but, I also think many independents and liberals who haven't totally lost their minds are reachable and especially with information that is packaged as Jeff does it. I mean it is quite difficult to assail his information. I wish it was as easy as saying they just need to grow up and mature/age a bit, they will see the light... but heck some of the very worst are the oldest in the group. Believe me I tried. I am now morally corrupt. I know some people can be swayed but she is one that will NEVER sway. She cares about climate change and abortion and is a "scientist" and her husband is in aerospace and a "genius"(he does test as one) so there is no changing. She has held grandchildren against me so I have to stay in my lane. Sadly.

Expand full comment
Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I get it Colleen. You are in a very difficult situation. Do not ever allow her to define you a morally corrupt, you should (IMHO) push back hard on that. Push back on anything she says or does which is not provable in fact. Remember, your "lane", no matter the situation is to love and advise/instruct your child. You are her mother, not her friend - there's a big difference. For me, it would be an easy choice, but Im a man. I'd cut ties until or if she can become less of a delusional, indoctrinated fool. She probably went to school(s) where she was taught to hate her parents and love abortion and climate change. If she thinks murdering unborn children is okay, she is deeply indoctrinate. If she thinks climate change is real, she is deeply indoctrinated. And to her "genius" husband, if he agrees with her on either or both of those issues, he is not a genius, at all.

Expand full comment
Doug's avatar

Dan, I want to agree with you, but all of my recent experiences tell me that some people are just not willing to have their minds changed.

I live near the coast in deep-blue Northern California. The majority of the friendships I've made over the past twenty years have been with actors, directors, technical people involved in community theater. This group is the most dramatically-deranged group of leftists you can imagine.

As an example, a few days ago a talented director with whom I've put on some great shows responded to a post I put up on FB about Tesla-burning (yes, I was trolling.. a bit) with the following. Note she's reacting here to the tariffs Trump enacted last weekend, and the stock market dip that happened Monday:

"Fuck the US citizens. burn down the country. $2 trillion lost today as the markets crash due to idiotic tariffs on every country but Russia. Biggest peacetime tax in the history of the former United States. Who give a rats ass about Tesla." [sic]

I haven't even responded to this - so far, I've chosen to let it stand for everybody to see it, although I doubt most of them would disagree with her much. Maybe I'll take a picture of her words and create a new post about it. But she's not even the most stupid or radical person in my circle of "friends" - most of them are salivating over every move Trump makes on a daily basis, posting poisonous screeds and re-posting the worst the left media has to offer.

These people are addicted to Trump/Musk hatred, and no matter how many reasonable, logical points I make in response, they're quick to label me as MAGA or an extremist or fascist (in the worst cases - few have called me that to my face).

The worst part of this is that they're mostly "smart" people. I don't spend much time hanging out with dummies, and I don't suffer fools gladly. Up until the Trump/Biden/Trump era, we all got along just fine. I held my tongue throughout most of it, until Trump's assassination attempt in July. I've been pretty vocal about the lack of "democracy" being exhibited by a party that purports to identify with saving "democracy". I think they're actually more about saving bureaucracy and certain democrats than the principle itself..

So I will sum up that in my experience, some are just never going to "get it".

Expand full comment
Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Sorry for my late response. I agree, some will not get it, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't "stand your ground" and state your case. You say they are "smart", have they convinced you their position is ethical, moral, based on fact rather than how they feel? Maybe in public they wont "hear you" but in private? The country is terribly divided, which is just the way the politicians want it to be. If we are divided then the Constitution hating globalists and their politicians and deep state will use that to their advantage every time. Part of it is on us, for failing to push back for literally decades while they solidified their hold on every institution and with them the power and wealth. They are not going to simply roll over and give that up. We are now in an existential fight for the country, by the grace of God, we got President Trump back in office. He is doing great things and because of it, they are fighting back ferociously. We have to be equally ferocious, perhaps more so because they have had their way for so long.

DJT, Jr’s community was very lively before the election. He interacted with us often. General Flynn, Glen Greenwald, Alan Dershowitz and others are on this platform also.

I see Substack, Locals and X as where to be to be informed about what is really going on. C&C is my very favorite column. Expand full comment
RunningLogic's avatar

Well said. Jeff always gives good reasons to back up his optimistic takes. He also notes when something has gone badly or just not our way, but tempers that with the big picture of more wins than losses. In addition, having faith that things will get better is a much more productive place to be than to always be shrieking that the sky is falling or constantly glum with an ever-present sense of foreboding. That kind of hysterical or morose view hinders action imo. It makes people hunker down in survival mode rather than actually doing something to help improve the situation or the chances of success.

We should realize the current situation is complicated and will take several strategies and approaches to gain successes. Wars are not won by winning 100% of battles.

In addition the "one step back, two steps forward" reality requirement drives certain folks crazy. Trump is playing a long game with a thought out set of strategies.

In my Bible study today, I was reading in Exodus when the people began to grumble about bitter water in the wilderness just 3 days after God parting the sea for them! I was struck by how easily we forget what God did and start to focus on the problems rather than trust God with the process.

Cheer-leading for Trump is fine and I support most of what he is doing too...

But let's not act like lemmings, eh?

Trump's unconditional support of the mass-murder and land thefts in Gaza by the rabid Zionists is appalling. His attempts to bully Putin into submission are laughable...

Trump's tariffs, and reversal, to some may be "4D Chess"... to others, the fact is the bond market was about to collapse and another 2008-style financial crisis loomed... so he HAD to back off... and BTW... the DOW is DOWN around 1200 points as I write...

How about we don't attack people with legit opinions that may differ from others?

MAGA!!

Another POV via The Morning Edition:

"Another false media narrative that got destroyed was the claim that Trump panicked and paused the tariffs because the bond market was “collapsing.” In fact, on Wednesday morning, the US Treasury held its auction of 10-year bonds, and there was overwhelming demand by investors, including foreign central banks. This was BEFORE he announced the tariff pause.

Apparently you are unaware that Gaza land was Israel's and that Israelis lived there along with Arabs until the Israeli government pulled them all out and allowed the Arabs to be self governing. Instead of taking the billions given to them and creating a nice place to live they constructed tunnels and acquired weapons to attack and kill Israelis, and kidnap mostly women children and old men, many of whom are still being held in appalling conditions. Israel really has no choice but to take back control unless they want another 10-7 to occur.

Just one comment -- when the land was partitioned (and the British actually supported the Arabs, BTW) it was the Arab leaders who told the other Arabs to leave Israel, and that after Israel was defeated, they would be able to come back. The Arabs who did not take their advice stayed and were treated as Israeli citizens along with the Jews. There was no Nakba except what they created for themselves.

Since then, Israel has operated as an APARTHEID state... brutalizing Palestinians and treating them like animals.

The OCT 7 attacks were a False Flag, known and preventable well in advance by the IDF... Israeli media Haaretz admits this. The Palestinians have fought back... wouldn't you?

Women and kids? Israel has murdered at least 50,000 women and kids in Gaza... tons of rape and kids were often targeted by IDF snipers. White phosphorous was used against Gaza civilians.

Palestine, at the time of the partition, was principally Jewish. Go back and look at the Palestinian flag from the 1920's.

As to where the Arabs came from, most of them came from Egypt. If you read Mark Twain, you will find that the land was desolate with very few people living there. Only after the Jews came and the land came alive, did the Arabs also come, since there was work for them. The first Arab to call himself a Palestinian was Yasser Arafat, who was clearly an Egyptian.

And even the Arabs have now admitted that the numbers of civilians killed was grossly exaggerated. At least 2/3 to 3/4 of those killed were men of fighting age -- e.g. Hamas. And the only reason civilians were killed is because Hamas hid among them and used them as shields.

I do not know what "red pill" and "black pill" is supposed to mean. I prefer plain English and not slang.

Expand full comment
MO Mom's avatar

It is a reference to a scene in "The Matrix" where Neo, the main character, is offered a red pill by Morpheus. The red pill represents a choice to accept a painful but truthful reality over a blissful but false one. By swallowing the red pill, Neo can then see the Matrix for what it truly is—an artificial construct created by machines to enslave humanity.

I had to look the black pill up, and it is more recent, and represents a more fatalistic view on certain aspects of life, suggesting that no amount of effort can change predetermined outcomes.

The “pills” terminology seems to be most popular among gen X (my people) and millennials. Red= coming to know the truth, Blue= remaining in the lie, Black= nihilistic, nothing can save us view of the future, White= nothing to see here, everything is rosy. I listen to younger millennials’ podcasts like Tim Pool and Matt Christiansen and they use these pill analogies most everyday.

This is a FB post from a friend of mine who ministers in China.

🇺🇸🙏🇨🇳 Concerning the situation with China, we need to be praying. The most dangerous 🐕‍🦺 dog, is a dog backed into a corner that is 😱 afraid. I spent two months in China last year, and a month in Hong Kong. I’ve been ministering in mainland China for over 19 years. The economy is the worst there I have ever seen it. The amount of unemployed people, businesses that have closed, and empty shops is astonishing. There are at least 5 possible outcomes.

1: The communist party backs down, agrees to a trade deal with President Trump loosing “face”, and making themselves look weak.

2: The world experiences another

plan-demic that would not likely originate in China.

3: The communist party decides it has nothing to lose, and starts a military war. (Wars are very profitable in many cases, they create jobs, and can be a type of government stimulus.)

4: The communist party decides to keep “face”, stand against President Trump, allowing their economy to continue into a downward spiral, hold on to power, and become more like North Korea. (Seriously affecting Chinese Christians.)

5: The communist party falls, and another government possibly better, or possibly worse takes control.

🙏 Who is willing to pray? 🙏

(In Chinese culture, "face," or (面子) mianzi, signifies a person's reputation, dignity, and social standing, and maintaining it is highly valued, influencing social interactions, business practices, government, and military. The concept of "face" shapes how people communicate, negotiate, and build relationships. It's crucial in business, politics, and personal interactions.)

I lived in Korea for 4 years. The idea of saving face is a principle part of their society too. It's a big and fundamental part of most oriental style societies. But what it also means is that western practices like ethics and sound business practices take a back seat to doing whatever one must do to "save face". So, for example stealing intellectual property is not seen as a bad thing, especially if acknowledging it would cause someone else to lose face, so it is accepted and becomes an acceptable business practice for getting ahead.

IMHO, the most likely outcome is 1 or maybe 5.

There are 1.4 BILLION Chinese living under the total tyranny and dictatorship of the Chynese Communist Party. They are known as the "Laobaixing" (老百姓). It refers to the common or ordinary people who are not a part of the communist party. If the CCP starts a war, they might find themselves facing a billion of their starved commoners too.

Certainly since Bush (yes, GW really failed us) and Ovomit our freedoms have been massively under attack - in fact every aspect of our country has been under attack. When you sit down and look at what the globalists and their sycophants at Federal and State level did to President Trump during the 4 years after they stole the 2020 election, you should quickly realize the country and we the people are in dire straits. Don't forget the pLandemic was executed in an effort to steal power around the world (not just the USA) in order to force the CCP's model of global marxism on the world. It has worked in many places, especially in the shit hole we call Europe - perhaps because they are even farther divorced, intentionally from our Creator.

God put President Trump back in the White House - there is no doubt in my mind about that. Prayer! Prayer! Prayer! to Him that His Will be done and we be instruments of His Will. And 100% support of our President Fight!, Fight!, Fight! is the answer for us - we have much responsibility - we can't just sit back and read C&C, POTUS can not do it all on his own.

And so we have to take care of our business too and that means focusing our efforts at the county level and below where we have so much constitutional power. It astonishes me how many American's do not understand the Constitutional power the founders gave to us at County level and below. That's partially because our corrupt government reps have gone out of their way to remove our knowledge and use of it to keep them all reeled in and doing what they are supposed to do: Protect our natural rights and the Constitutions at Fed and State levels.

Thank you for posting this as very informative and very important food for thought. It is ironic though, that the Chinese so called government worries about saving face and building relationships but they treat their citizens like crap and have so many human rights violations. They are a Godless govt who ultimately are weak. Anyone can have guns, military machines and nuclear weapons, all that does is kill. Any one can kill, that is not a novel threat or approach for control. What true courage and not losing face is about is the Golden Rule and keeping the commandments and utilizing restraint and patience. China has been and continues to lose face to most in the world, they just don't have the eyes to see it. And I believe that they would send forth another plandemic as they have no love for the human race or animals for that matter. They have already lost everything that counts in this world IMHO.

You don’t want to know the recent epa stuff that hopefully Zeldin will reverse. I’ve got a 10 year old 3.5 ton system here, heat pump. It runs R410A. That’s the refrigerant. Now got this. The epa has come up with a new refrigerant that’s even MORE environmentally friendly than the last three, but it’s flammable! Flammable refrigerant. Like propane. So now, if you develop a leak in your a coil, you could feasibly burn down your house. Don’t let that get in the way of environmental protection! ( I’m sure there is a substantial kickback going on). Anyhow, I have a compressor got to crap, so my options are 1, do the job myself, about 1000 bucks, get ten more years. Also have a small leak I have to repair. Obviously small, r410a is a very small molecule. Hire my buddy, and let him do it. Call him over, he tells me this. Because of the cost of a complete condensing unit would be more cost effective, he recommends that. But I would have to find a used one. Unfortunately the epa mandate says you can’t just buy an “ old” 410a condensing unit, you have to replace the whole system. Not making that up. With, the new explosive refrigerant. Not making this up. 7to 8 k, because he’s a good friend. So I just bought six cheap ass Chinese mini splits ( we don’t make those) at 349.00 each, with old refrigerant, and installed them myself. Are you listening, Lee? I hope so! Another epa scam. “ it’s for the ozone layer”! And the children!

That is the problem with tackling ALL the abuses within the govt ! Trump would never be able to get anyone to give their vote for any of his initiatives to clean up the system .

That is why we are not hearing about the "big cleanups" of all the BIG agencies.. and Congress and the Senate.

I have been rooting for Trump for years , and never thought he would get close to being able to run , let alone elected . It is the depth of the dark state that is still very much unknown by most of his loyal followers, including on this forum.

I know that many supporters ( even Jeff, i believe) have tried to inform everyone that it will not be easy to accomplish what we want ( completely breaking down the evil that has been destroying the US .... and the world) . "don't let up on the peddle ! " they implore their readers.

Of course Trump and his team have given us renewed hope ...... but I do not ignore what Tulsi and Kash and RFKjr have said or written in the recent past before the election. Do your own research to get some others' opinions of why their actions are not now following their strong rhetoric of before.

hint : start with Candace Owens . there are others as well . Read what RFK just said about mRNA vaccines. Tell me why he would say what he did ( look at recent Measles message by him)

I am rooting for Trumps team , maybe even more than most here . Let's just get that clear. I AM "letting them work" . But when i make a comment regarding the

(still) large presence of bad people still in the govt. it is not to be negative. It is to report what I see .

After discussing this with a good friend...... he has convinced me that some of these "tactics" which seem to be contrary to what they previously espoused are basically what is necessary at the time.

Sometimes I just want to see the blank blank world change at "warp speed " !

Lights: As part of my new budget, I have been using this traditional lighting system that not only costs less than modern lighting but also never seems to need replacing. In addition to the light capabilities, it serves as an awesome source of heat. Of course, it doesn't work at night, but I need the extra sleep anyway. It is basically a healthy alternative to most of my lighting needs.

In all seriousness, during the lockdown years, I would take my Bible outside to read while I got some sun, air, and exercise. One day as I was reading, walking, breathing, and tanning, I realized I wasn't wearing my readers. As it happens, the reading glasses are only necessary under low light conditions. The more you know.

Get a high-speed camera. All artificial lights flicker to some extent, even incandescent bulbs, because we use AC power, where the voltage goes to zero 120 times per second (60 Hz) or 100 times per second (in countries that have 50 Hz power). Quality LEDs actually flicker less than incandescent bulbs!

Except when our LED light fixture burned out, we couldn't replace a bulb, we had to buy a whole new fixture. And I have some relatives who get headaches from the LED lights.

Expand full comment
UM Ross's avatar

Don't replace old replaceable-bulb fixtures with bulb-less LED fixtures. Instead, get high-quality LED replacement bulbs. Phillips Ultra-Definition is my recommendation. They're not cheap, but I have yet to need to replace one; they dim well, they do not flicker, and the light is basically indistinguishable from an old-school incandescent while using much less power.

However, I'll grant that cheap LEDs can be awful.

Expand full comment
Cathleen Manny's avatar

All LEDs are bad.

Expand full comment
UM Ross's avatar

Why?

IMO, the only thing wrong with quality LED bulbs is the lack of infrared, which is an artifact of the power that incandescent lights waste.

Now infrared light is important for health, but it's possible to plenty of it from other sources without wasting all that power for lighting.
