Jamie, I had a terrible gut for many years. I had Candida. I went on a strict diet and some supplements for 3 months. Zero sugar of any kind. That was almost 12 years ago, and I am still doing great! Also, I have an allergy to a protein in cow's milk. I cannot remember the name. But I can tolerate cow's milk if it has been heated. Like cheeses and custards. Good luck!

Thanks Robin! He did have SIBO few years back and cut all sugar and basically just ate meat for months as well and it killed the sibo - his diet has been basically gluten free and very low sugar / low carb since but maybe being more lax lately paved the way for him to be susceptible to the Cdiff. Maybe he just needs to be super strict diet forever? Lots to still unravel as chronic gut issues that seem to flare up every once and again but as we age and him being low weight- it starts to seem more concerning. It’s a shame he is so sensitive to so many things - would like to get him to have stronger system all around

I appreciate your response

Also you can start with The Maker's Diet, it's a book my Dad used to finally figure out he was Celiac. Don't mind us all geeking out on here. :)
