A Song, a Psalm of David.

My heart is steadfast, O God;

I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul.

Awake, harp and lyre;

I will awaken the dawn!

I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples,

And I will sing praises to You among the nations.

For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens,

And Your truth reaches to the skies.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,

And Your glory above all the earth.

— Psalm 108:1-5 NAS

That “Janice is a bot” thread on yesterday’s (EDIT: Saturday's) comments was rather amusing. Do bots crave chocolate? Take naps? Raise 7 children? Write devotionals? Celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary? Laugh at trolls? 🤭

I find a lot of trolls make claims they deeply wish were true, as if making the statement brings it into reality. That’s the liberal playbook and the bottom feeders remind me of that scene in The Dark Knight where the Joker says “I’m like a dog chasing cars! I wouldn’t know what to do with it if I caught one”

Great comment Juju! I actually asked the troll what Truth he was seeking and he refused to answer, which perfectly proves your point.

They do this often. This past week I had someone stated on X "why are you searching so hard to find stuff to cry about? When everyone on X knows there is a "feed" you get on a daily basis. They also will not engage when you state...so you "searched" out my response to respond to it, but I am the one doing the "searching?"

I actually had a car chasing dog many years ago. He did catch one one time and it broke his leg pretty badly.

Awwww poor fella. Yeah, chasing cars, or standing in the middle of a freeway and expecting not to get hit for that matter is a waste of effort and ineffective.

I got a comment from another veteran on X that my replies to the SecVA were being labeled as spam.

This morning I was locked out of X.

Had to reverify myself and now I have a warning on my X account that my posts are limited to who can see them.

Figured I must have ticked someone off...probably the SecVA.

So many vets respond to his posts on X by asking, and often pleading, for help.

He never answers their pleas for help. Never. Ever.

Figure it is some low level flunky in charge of his account.

If I had a say as to where my tax dollars were spent, it would be veteran affairs and animal causes and a few others. It is unconscionable when our vets are ignored.

This is so maddening. Our vets need to be first and foremost above AI, space programs, frivilous lawsuits and paying money to able bodied people to sit home on our dime.

I signed up for a shrink with my insurance dictated doctor, not through my husband VA.

It’s so much worse than ten or 15 years ago!

They kept me on hold over an hour to make an appointment. And I’m on a waiting list for in person counseling, televisits are available immediately. My situation requires privacy…

They’ve texted me every other day over a ten dollar copay .

They got the playbook from the vets I think!

My PCP called me about a medical issue. I knew I was on speaker phone (why?) but she did not tell me other people were in the room.

Total violation of my medical privacy.

I am hoping you, soon, receive word about in-person counselling. When you find the right health counselor it is a blessing. Besides being someone willing to listen to many concerns, mine steered me to progressive muscle relaxation and box breathing to help lessen the anxiety. Highly recommend you check it out on youtube.

I’m seeing the shrink to please my family. I’ve been seeing a Baptist minister for a few months now but family doesn’t think they’re authentic. A good counselor is priceless. One of the first things he said was “ I don’t want you to need my help forever, let get to work “

I have had scabies since last October & the initial appointment with the shrink , she’s ignored my physical issues causing ptsd . Labeling it delusional parasitosis. We aren’t off to a good start.

Have you tried ivermectin cream?

There is actually a Rx ivermectin cream called Soolantra. Apparently it is expensive but I think regular horse paste ivermectin would work.

Off label use for scabies and acne too.

Hot shallow bath with Borax salt. I don't have scabies but do occasionally get itchy for some reason. It cures that. Borax is very cheap and easily available off eBay. I buy Borax Slime Activator (99% pure). This link has some hopeful outcomes from people (families) with scabies using Borax + various other interesting suggestions:

If I could find someone here who takes medicare who is good, I think the co-pay has gone up to $60ish. Currently I am paying $165 a visit.

The gal I was going to was worthless, I should have known better, she had a Ruth Bader print on her wall, various sayings framed or painted in script decorating her walls, and I later found out she’s a lesbian (who was married years ago to a great guy and has kids). I just thought she had remarried, lol!

Small town but not small enough!

Good luck Rosalind, hope you get in soon with someone good.

There are trolls and people jealous they didn’t get the first post here. I won’t ever respond to them, but I’ll say it here… it’s very foolish to direct your ire to the person reminding us of biblical truths and exalting our Lord.

Also foolish to disparage a beloved poster in this substack community. They should be grateful for all the added wisdom, not only from Jeff, but also all of you.

I love that your Scripture posting often gets enough likes to lead off the comments section here on C&C. Would you consider posting New Testament Scripture as well to perhaps reach the unsaved readers who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord? I just preached John 5 yesterday and was struck by verses 39 and 40 which has Jesus saying: "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life."
