Principles? Deciding how and when to solve the debt crisis is the decision of the President. If the President says ‘I couldn’t care less about the debt’ then with principles you sit as an independent. But if the President says ‘here is my plan. This should work. In retrospect, the whole campaign was a 3 ring circus but I was young and idealistic and naïve and volunteered for his campaign thinking he had a chance. But I do think he holds the record for largest vote total for a 3rd party in a presidential race. If only he had the media savvy of Trump (and not dropped out and dropped back in) he might have had a chance. In my current thinking the only thing that makes sense nowadays is that Epstein was working with intel agencies (or NSA had access to the list) and it’s the ultimate blackmail - where releasing it would implicate so many across both sides of the political aisle that it would effectively uproot our society.

In our case locally, we have a real problem with that. 1. Local, county and state gov roles pay practically nothing - you need a reliable outside source of income to be able to afford to 'serve'. Many candidates are either business owners or retired, which shrinks the pool by a lot. 2. While the D party may be on the ropes nationally, in our neck of the woods they are motivated, energized and nasty. They make conservative candidates life (and their family members) a living h*ll. Stalk them, try to get them fired, steal signs, slash their banners, and so on. 3. Money from blue strongholds flows into our state like water, while the 'base' here is either non wealthy or stingy in races seen as an uphill battle. 4. Too many conservatives have checked out since Nov 2024. Grassroots groups have half the attendees they did this time last year.

Yes, I am in SE Jackson County. Which is really 2 counties - there is the deep blue KC & Raytown and then various shades of red/purple in the rest of it. Been fighting for 2 decades now and getting burned out as other than a couple of covid years where everyone donned armor and fought, the apathy is rampant.
I understand and even experience some of that in my small town in deep red Texas. We are now solid purple. But I am reasonably familiar with my local candidates and even state ones. But I have been disappointed time and again with those at the national.level - senators and representatives. If Musk's group can shed light on them I will take note.
Used to like Josh Hawley (Sen from MO) but his complaining about Medicaid cuts tells me he is shifting swamp-ward. Mark Alford (congressman from a district not far from me) does spend a lot of time out and about in his district - when not in DC he is at some event practically every day. But doesn't believe in chemtails/geoengineering and has been mostly silent on a lot of the covid stuff. But I am in the 5th District and it is a lost cause. Covers super-blue Kansas City plus some red and purple in the margins. Had an excellent candidate in 24 that me and many of my friends knocked thousands of doors for and he did land some D support due to his efforts in the County legislature helping constituents on both sides fight our horrible property tax mess. Even got a lot of friendly coverage for his efforts in the local news. But still got walloped in November.
Locally, my suburb is getting over-run with people fleeing the blue mess in Kansas City and not changing their voting patterns. We are not quite purple, but teetering due to conservatives mostly sitting out local elections. Trump won but our school board flipped back left this year and 2 state rep seats went blue in Nov.
All this keeps my glee from the national D party implosion at bay. They are united and unhinged here and too few conservatives stand up to them or even show up to vote them out.

As anti-Obama-agenda kickback, it was mostly about championing conservative ideology (“Taxed Enough Already”) although including the word “party” as an allusion to the historical Boston Harbor event confused many people. It wasn’t at all an attempt at a third party, but more of an effort to pull the Republicans back to their professed ideals. Not understanding the nature of the Deep State at the time, it was bound to fail but not before exposing a lot of RINOs and earning the ire of many - never forget our favorite Senator McCain called us “wacko birds.” In any case, as others are pointing out here, this will never gain any real traction but is yet another indication that neither major party are satisfying the disaffected middle, although the Democrats have gone completely off the cliff of reason. And I thought Elon was done with politics - he’s never going to get to Mars if he keeps getting distracted!

I see Trump as the middle and I’m staying put, realizing that crying about not getting everything we want exactly as we wanted it after only six months is unwise. I admit I did not see the angle of this splitting the Democrat vote. I see this splitting Republican votes just as badly, and that leaves us with a situation where 30% or less lead the remaining 70% or more. I don’t agree with a 3rd party. There’s a reason the founders wisely protected the 50% or more majority and you work from within one of the two parties. MAGA has come a long way to correct the stranglehold on both parties, and we have a ways to go still. It takes time. A third party will need a few years at the very least if not several to get to the point MAGA is finally at, hurting everything in the meantime. That time and money would be better spent continuing to revamp the GOP and primarying out the RINOs.

In the wake of McCain’s (and all the others) contempt, I stopped identifying as a Republican and instead call myself a [Christian/Constitutional] Conservative. Politically I’m independent, not contributing to either party but to individual candidates whose values align with mine. Turns out most of them are Republican. So.
As people wait for certain events, ie corrupt elected politicians/unelected bureaucrats being given a fair trial, it is easy for disgruntled, frustrated imaginations to conjure up scenarios where the guilty are never held accountable. There's an easy solution, but do those now in power have the courage to follow through on past promises? Until they do, grumbling will only get louder.
Yeah - the current leadership for the "America" party - or at least what we see in the twittersphere - not a lot of interest. Seeing Cuban and Pence as leadership won't win over a lot of the more conservative voters.
Also saw that the whole "filed to start this" was likely faked, at least according to Musk. Doesn't mean it's not going to happen, just that the initial talks seem to be a bit overblown or premature.

Hey Juju how did things go yesterday for Adam. I included him in my prayers. Don’t know your faith but as a Catholic we frequently ask the saints to pray for us pathetic sinners. I asked St Caejitan to pray for my daughter when she couldn’t find a job and lo and behold she found a great job! God is good!
❤️ His interview is this morning, and it’s a “culture” interview. They already know he fits the technical requirements of the job, so now they just want to see if he would fit in with their “group”. That’s what had me rattled because my son has social inadequacies due to his autism spectrum and he has never fit in with ANY group, not even since grade school. That’s why his anxiety was so high, he knows he is awkward compared to others and he has been repeatedly rejected his whole life, which makes him very insecure. I’m not sure how much of that he will be able to handle from the adult world given he is so scarred over emotionally already.
He flew out yesterday. I requested prayer yesterday so that there would be time for others to lift him up to God. I was also able to share MANY of the prayers given by all of you with him. I can’t tell you how much that lit hope behind his eyes when I read them to him, and I kept sending them to his phone to read while he was there. They all helped me focus my own praying too. It felt good to show him people were praying for a good outcome or for the strength to handle a bad one.
I’ll definitely update everyone when we know something. Usually offers aren’t made the day you’re there, so I wouldn’t expect him to hear anything before next week? Well as a norm anyway, especially if they have to decide between multiple candidates.

We have 60-80 family and friends from 3 states flying in. She is the wife we have prayed for, for 28 years. So fun to see who God brought to him. God answered this prayer very specifically and we are so grateful. 😊

Yes!!! We never thought he’d pull the trigger so we are bursting with excitement now! He’s never been married before. No kids. Just a young man who was willing to do it right and wait for her. God brought us to Florida five yrs ago and had we not moved he never would have met her. It’s amazing what God does. What I did want to say is that I know YOU understand raising kids with special needs, and we too have our adult daughter with special needs who will never get to walk down the aisle or do a father daughter dance. So our son has invited my husband (who is also his best man) to join with our daughter during our mother son dance. This will be their only father daughter dance opportunity. Melted my heart. 😭
They seem harder to find these days - as well as strong in their faith women. We wondered too if our son would find that someone. Keep praying! And what a wonderful moms heart to be praying for your daughter in that way.
Maybe, but there's likely be something more going on here. Trump is not an ideologue but a pragmatist. He'd probably like this Epstein thing to go away as it almost certainly incriminates all sorts of powerful people in particular foreign allies in the UK and Israel.
Trump (and his administration) have a habit of saying stuff that seems insane. Examples: H1B visas are great, Illegal aliens that work for giant farm and hotel companies are just fine, and now Epstein was just an isolated pervert. Of course no one on our side believes any of this and we go berserk (as we should).
But Trump says stuff all the time that he doesn't truly believe as a way of gaging public opinion. It's called A-B testing (aka a trial balloon) and he does this to create leverage regarding his options. It's classic systems thinking, and he's the master of it. It's the exact opposite of the rigid ideological thinking that almost never works, as it considers the good the enemy of perfect.
However, when Trump (or the admin) does say something crazy, it's our job to go nuts and let him know it's totally unacceptable. (War with Iran on behalf of Israel was a perfect recent example, and it worked.) We know giant company lobbyists have his ear, so when he floats something like farm worker amnesty, we have to vociferously apply negative pressure. We have to let him know though we support him, we won't go along with stuff that betrays MAGA. Period.
This Epstein things smells the same. Something was put out to gage public option as a convenient way to make this problem go away. Of course the public went nuts, and now it's being quietly erased/withdrawn. We've seen this same pattern over and over.
I have felt somewhat the same way. Trump is by far not stupid. He knows there’s more to Epstein, but in the case of Epstein, who are we really enraged at and what do we expect to accomplish? In this case, I trust what is being “leaked out”, is for a purpose. I have been reading 1st and 2nd Kings from the Bible. Most of these grandiose elites have nothing on the Kings of Judah and Israel and the treachery that was round every corner.
That is assuming this report is real. I too have been mad that so many of these 'reveals' have either been MIA or nothing happens. I firmly believe Trump was never a “client”, but I wouldn’t put it past a corrupt agency to place his name on such a list for future control over him. If that happened I could see them trying to first gather enough evidence of how that happened and to clear his name. Jeff was spot on about the document… there is no way that that was a government document… no one who has ever written anything to be classified would have wrote that and saved it. I was the action officer for very senior officers the last 22 years of my career. Everything starts getting formatted from the time you open a new document. It has the classification on it as you are typing it. Something this important is written by a junior or inexperienced person. This looks like the work of someone who has never worked for the government. It is all fishy.

PRRs were supposed to have been used as a real-time safety monitoring method when the shots first came out. If they had been, the entire rollout would have been shut down by March 2021.
The VAERS records are not accurate. I read that only about 1% are completed by doctors because of the length of time it takes to fill them out. The statistics are worse than what we are told.
@Jeff S indeed. I saw a High Wire video with a PA from a northeast hospital, and she said it takes about 30 minutes to fill out one case on VAERS. Furthermore, she said the system doesn’t save your entries as you go, so if you get interrupted, which would be common in a medical setting, then you have to start all over from scratch. Definitely designed to *not* be user-friendly. They don’t want the information 😒
A little correction here: about 2/3 of the VAERS reports that are completed are submitted by medical personnel, but the total number of reports only represents approximately 1% of the actual number of adverse events.

In retrospect, the whole campaign was a 3 ring circus but I was young and idealistic and naïve and volunteered for his campaign thinking he had a chance. But I do think he holds the record for largest vote total for a 3rd party in a presidential race. If only he had the media savvy of Trump (and not dropped out and dropped back in) he might have had a chance. In our case locally, we have a real problem with that. 1. Local, county and state gov roles pay practically nothing - you need a reliable outside source of income to be able to afford to 'serve'. Many candidates are either business owners or retired, which shrinks the pool by a lot. 2. While the D party may be on the ropes nationally, in our neck of the woods they are motivated, energized and nasty. They make conservative candidates life (and their family members) a living h*ll. Stalk them, try to get them fired, steal signs, slash their banners, and so on. 3. Money from blue strongholds flows into our state like water, while the 'base' here is either non wealthy or stingy in races seen as an uphill battle. 4. Too many conservatives have checked out since Nov 2024. Grassroots groups have half the attendees they did this time last year.

Yes, I am in SE Jackson County. Which is really 2 counties - there is the deep blue KC & Raytown and then various shades of red/purple in the rest of it. Been fighting for 2 decades now and getting burned out as other than a couple of covid years where everyone donned armor and fought, the apathy is rampant.
I understand and even experience some of that in my small town in deep red Texas. We are now solid purple. But I am reasonably familiar with my local candidates and even state ones. But I have been disappointed time and again with those at the national.level - senators and representatives. If Musk's group can shed light on them I will take note.
Used to like Josh Hawley (Sen from MO) but his complaining about Medicaid cuts tells me he is shifting swamp-ward. Mark Alford (congressman from a district not far from me) does spend a lot of time out and about in his district - when not in DC he is at some event practically every day. But doesn't believe in chemtails/geoengineering and has been mostly silent on a lot of the covid stuff. But I am in the 5th District and it is a lost cause. Covers super-blue Kansas City plus some red and purple in the margins. Had an excellent candidate in 24 that me and many of my friends knocked thousands of doors for and he did land some D support due to his efforts in the County legislature helping constituents on both sides fight our horrible property tax mess. Even got a lot of friendly coverage for his efforts in the local news. But still got walloped in November.
Locally, my suburb is getting over-run with people fleeing the blue mess in Kansas City and not changing their voting patterns. We are not quite purple, but teetering due to conservatives mostly sitting out local elections. Trump won but our school board flipped back left this year and 2 state rep seats went blue in Nov.
All this keeps my glee from the national D party implosion at bay. They are united and unhinged here and too few conservatives stand up to them or even show up to vote them out.
Rather than a third party, Musk would make a better contribution by supporting honest candidates in primaries. If in fact his objective is an honest and effective Congress.

It wasn’t at all an attempt at a third party, but more of an effort to pull the Republicans back to their professed ideals. Not understanding the nature of the Deep State at the time, it was bound to fail but not before exposing a lot of RINOs and earning the ire of many - never forget our favorite Senator McCain called us “wacko birds.” In any case, as others are pointing out here, this will never gain any real traction but is yet another indication that neither major party are satisfying the disaffected middle, although the Democrats have gone completely off the cliff of reason. I admit I did not see the angle of this splitting the Democrat vote. I see this splitting Republican votes just as badly, and that leaves us with a situation where 30% or less lead the remaining 70% or more. I don’t agree with a 3rd party. There’s a reason the founders wisely protected the 50% or more majority and you work from within one of the two parties. MAGA has come a long way to correct the stranglehold on both parties, and we have a ways to go still. It takes time. A third party will need a few years at the very least if not several to get to the point MAGA is finally at, hurting everything in the meantime. That time and money would be better spent continuing to revamp the GOP and primarying out the RINOs.

Politically I’m independent, not contributing to either party but to individual candidates whose values align with mine. Turns out most of them are Republican. So.
As people wait for certain events, ie corrupt elected politicians/unelected bureaucrats being given a fair trial, it is easy for disgruntled, frustrated imaginations to conjure up scenarios where the guilty are never held accountable. There's an easy solution, but do those now in power have the courage to follow through on past promises? Until they do, grumbling will only get louder.

Hey Juju how did things go yesterday for Adam. I included him in my prayers. Don’t know your faith but as a Catholic we frequently ask the saints to pray for us pathetic sinners. I asked St Caejitan to pray for my daughter when she couldn’t find a job and lo and behold she found a great job! God is good!
❤️ His interview is this morning, and it’s a “culture” interview. They already know he fits the technical requirements of the job, so now they just want to see if he would fit in with their “group”. That’s what had me rattled because my son has social inadequacies due to his autism spectrum and he has never fit in with ANY group, not even since grade school. That’s why his anxiety was so high, he knows he is awkward compared to others and he has been repeatedly rejected his whole life, which makes him very insecure. I’m not sure how much of that he will be able to handle from the adult world given he is so scarred over emotionally already.
He flew out yesterday. I requested prayer yesterday so that there would be time for others to lift him up to God. I was also able to share MANY of the prayers given by all of you with him. I can’t tell you how much that lit hope behind his eyes when I read them to him, and I kept sending them to his phone to read while he was there. They all helped me focus my own praying too. It felt good to show him people were praying for a good outcome or for the strength to handle a bad one.
I’ll definitely update everyone when we know something. Usually offers aren’t made the day you’re there, so I wouldn’t expect him to hear anything before next week? Well as a norm anyway, especially if they have to decide between multiple candidates.

MY SON IS GETTING MARRIED FRIDAY!
We are so excited!!! Although my commenting is slowed down because of life happenings I still read everyday. So I wanted to share my exciting news.
We have 60-80 family and friends from 3 states flying in. She is the wife we have prayed for, for 28 years. So fun to see who God brought to him. God answered this prayer very specifically and we are so grateful. 😊
Happy for you all! This encourages me to keep up my prayers for our son and a host of other wonderful young people … that they grow in worthiness and be granted worthy spouses!
Yes!!! We never thought he’d pull the trigger so we are bursting with excitement now! He’s never been married before. No kids. Just a young man who was willing to do it right and wait for her. God brought us to Florida five yrs ago and had we not moved he never would have met her. It’s amazing what God does. I hate to be a cynic but, the Epstein Just a Pervert Report is proof the the Deep State is still alive and effective.
Maybe, but there's likely be something more going on here. Trump is not an ideologue but a pragmatist. He'd probably like this Epstein thing to go away as it almost certainly incriminates all sorts of powerful people in particular foreign allies in the UK and Israel.
Trump (and his administration) have a habit of saying stuff that seems insane. Examples: H1B visas are great, Illegal aliens that work for giant farm and hotel companies are just fine, and now Epstein was just an isolated pervert. Of course no one on our side believes any of this and we go berserk (as we should).
But Trump says stuff all the time that he doesn't truly believe as a way of gaging public opinion. It's called A-B testing (aka a trial balloon) and he does this to create leverage regarding his options. It's classic systems thinking, and he's the master of it. It's the exact opposite of the rigid ideological thinking that almost never works, as it considers the good the enemy of perfect.
However, when Trump (or the admin) does say something crazy, it's our job to go nuts and let him know it's totally unacceptable. (War with Iran on behalf of Israel was a perfect recent example, and it worked.) We know giant company lobbyists have his ear, so when he floats something like farm worker amnesty, we have to vociferously apply negative pressure. We have to let him know though we support him, we won't go along with stuff that betrays MAGA. Period.
This Epstein things smells the same. Something was put out to gage public option as a convenient way to make this problem go away. Of course the public went nuts, and now it's being quietly erased/withdrawn. We've seen this same pattern over and over.
I have felt somewhat the same way. Trump is by far not stupid. He knows there’s more to Epstein, but in the case of Epstein, who are we really enraged at and what do we expect to accomplish? In this case, I trust what is being “leaked out”, is for a purpose. I have been reading 1st and 2nd Kings from the Bible. Most of these grandiose elites have nothing on the Kings of Judah and Israel and the treachery that was round every corner.
We have to remember though, Trump created MAGA. He IS MAGA. He’s not going to betray himself.

I firmly believe Trump was never a “client”, but I wouldn’t put it past a corrupt agency to place his name on such a list for future control over him. If that happened I could see them trying to first gather enough evidence of how that happened and to clear his name. He’s on other lists (flight logs, etc) but we know he flew Epstein’s flights (not to the island,) before Trump discovered his true character and booted him from his life. But a client list? Nah. PRRs were supposed to have been used as a real-time safety monitoring method when the shots first came out. If they had been, the entire rollout would have been shut down by March 2021.
The VAERS records are not accurate. I read that only about 1% are completed by doctors because of the length of time it takes to fill them out. The statistics are worse than what we are told.
And so many people were unaware they did not have to wait for a doctor to do the VAERS report.
They could have done it themselves.
Except for the ones that died after taking the death shot.
The forms were designed to be difficult to fill out.
@Jeff S indeed. I saw a High Wire video with a PA from a northeast hospital, and she said it takes about 30 minutes to fill out one case on VAERS. Furthermore, she said the system doesn’t save your entries as you go, so if you get interrupted, which would be common in a medical setting, then you have to start all over from scratch. Definitely designed to *not* be user-friendly. They don’t want the information 😒

They’re all about weather modification, completely ignoring the fact that this area is part of what’s known as ‘flash flood alley’ and has had flash floods for at least thousands of years, not to mention completely ignoring his point about HT. Not every tragedy is a conspiracy.
Yes apparently the very same kind of tragedy happened in the late 80s at the same time of year. That makes me wonder, why have there not been any safeguards been put into place in the past few decades to prevent such tragedies from happening again??

Austin bought out entire neighborhoods and demolished some nice homes because they’d been permitted in a flood zone. It’s now a park with residential streets and driveways, but no houses. Onion Creek, I think it was called.
I hope the homeowners were bought out a a fair price!
Houston needs to do that. Lots of discussion on it after Harvey but I don’t recall hearing that it’s happened, but I also don’t follow local Houston news super closely.
