I had an older brother and so in order to keep up with him I climbed trees and played with frogs and snakes (that actually came in handy last night when I had to remove a small snake from my basement 😆). Agree about the future regrets. I had an older brother and so in order to keep up with him I climbed trees and played with frogs and snakes (that actually came in handy last night when I had to remove a small snake from my basement 😆). I never liked dolls and I liked playing “boy” stuff but never thought I was a boy or wanted to be one. It’s just weird to me how some parents now immediately jump to transgender as soon as they see their child doing non stereotypical things.
The thing is, many boys & girls have behaved non-stereotypically since the beginning of time. Some more than others but it's not new. There's something else going on these days and the only thing I can think of is a huge increase of people (including parents) who are either ignorant, incredibly self absorbed, spiritually void, or possibly, a combination of all three.
Oh exactly! The difference is in how people are reacting to this phenomenon which has always happened. I think Jeff C’s comment about outsourcing parenting to “experts” has a lot to do with it, as do social pressures and virtue signaling, especially in certain circles.
