Though I walk in the midst of distress, You will revive me;

You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,

And Your right hand will save me.

Yahweh will accomplish what concerns me;

O Yahweh, Your lovingkindness endures forever;

Do not fail the works of Your hands.

— Psalm 138:7-8 LSB

I needed those words today.

Thank you, Janice.

Me too, I was feeling a little “down and out” and overwhelmed. I almost didn’t click on Comments today. But reading Janice’s encouraging words from Scripture were just what I needed! Thank you, Janice for sharing God’s Word with us. I am grateful that He uses you to minister to us!

God knows. Sending you a hug!

PS: I needed them too.

"Heaven shall shine more than when illuminated by the orders of light while many chiefs among the stars of authority shall err, perverting their ways and works. Those shall not appear in their season, who commanded them, and all the classes of the stars shall be shut up against sinners. The thoughts of those who dwell on the earth shall transgress within them and they shall be perverted in all their ways. They shall transgress, and think themselves gods while evil shall be multiplied among them. And punishment shall come upon them, so that all of them shall be destroyed."

Book of Enoch

Chapter 79

Susan V's avatar

The Book of Enoch is on my summer reading list. Can anyone explain why it was removed.

Steve Roberts's avatar

Hey Susan, look up Wes Huff talking about this. He’s an archeologist/apologist from Canada. He’s easy to l listen to.

The attached interview of Mel Gibson began my research.

The site Stone and Bone has some excellent podcasts.

There are some unique passages within Enoch. Giving it a try.

Bard Joseph's avatar

Lest we forget that the ancients used star constellations to tell stories, and perhaps socialize the people. Many animals are linked as well as earthly formations.

Leo's avatar

Bard, Yes - The Wise Men followed The Star!

It wasn’t removed from the Ethiopian Bible

Susan V's avatar

I should rephrase my question I meant why was it never included in our the western Bible. So maddening!

Maggie Think of Me's avatar

I highly recommend you goto YouTube and type in The Book of Enoch Josh. The suggestions will pop up. Josh is the preacher if a large church in Dallas. His explanation of why the book was not included in Protestant Bibles is explained in detail. The video is about 90 minutes and starts with a few other subjects before he takes the dive into Enoch. You can skip the other parts but I recommend you listen to all of it because there is tons of theology.

JoJo's avatar

I read all of the lost book of the Bible! Not canonical (maybe) but a wild ride!

Elaine Russky's avatar

I'm in the process of trying to understand that myself. I got a book about it but haven't had the time to read it yet. So far I've been told that only 1 Enoch should be included, and the rest were apocryphal. Let me know what you conclude, if anything.

Virginia is a mess, a treacherous mess.

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

Virginia used to be such a nice state. Was stationed in various areas for 16 years.

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

Virginia once was known to be for lovers; haters decided that couldn't stand so they invaded and now rule.

LMWC's avatar

We did Virginia for our honeymoon, nearly 49 years ago. Down the coast, up through the middle, back down the western side onto Skyline Drive. When we hit the Blue Ridge Parkway, we cut across West Virginia, big mistake, as the main interstate highway was under reconstruction and we were rerouted constantly, up and down the mountains. It was quite an experience. The VA is for lovers slogan was huge then and part of why went there.

CStone's avatar

Drove the Blue Ridge Parkway years ago, staying in a different B&B every couple of nights. We ended up in Shenandoah Valley. Best trip ever. Peaceful. Beautiful and Shenandoah Valley was breathtakingly beautiful.

Next Virginia AG Jay Jones will be suing the Girl Scouts and Krispy Kreme for false advertising. The Thin Mints don't work and Donuts do not have zero calories as clearly marked on each donut!

Washington, Jefferson and Monroe must be spinning in their Virginia graves. The direction of the spin would be counter to the coriolis effect. Anything to counter the Progressive spin counterclockwise.

The Infamous They are trying to do to Virginia what They did to California. Same MO including election racketeering (cheating, rigging, whatever word you chose). I worked in VA Courts for 32 years, and only ONCE did we have a Judge under 54! If they force Judges over 54 into retirement, they probably all are eligible! As I recall, their retirement package equaled 5 years credit for every year they sit, so they have great retirement benefits already.

laura-ann Knox's avatar

Pray for the only sane mayoral candidate for Los Angeles, Spencer Pratt!! There's gonna be a WHOLE LOT of cheating by the Dems to keep him out; he's the people's favorite. Pray pray!

CPK (Charles Kalina)'s avatar

Much of it still is. The DC suburbs have gone the way of their Maryland counterparts. Notice how the gerrymandered districts radiated out from DC to rope in all the Democrats.

This is why I think we should revoke home rule for the District AND rope in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs as well.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

What I want to do is give DC back to Maryland and let the crooked Dems in Balmur duke it out with the crooked Dems in DC. I would buy tickets. There would be blood on the Parkway. The decrepit and cranky Eleanor Holmes Norton would be forced to retire, and all other sorts of good things might happen. Of course they will still elect knaves, but they will be newer, fresher knaves.

Mature American's avatar

Maybe Virginia should retrocede their portion of DC that they took to back to maintain the slave trade!

Lisa Ricketts's avatar

the way I see it is that Virginia and Maryland never gave up the slave trade/ Plantation lifestyle, they just redefined it and called it welfare!

Thomas F Davis's avatar

That will only increase the pressure to make DC a state.

Mature American's avatar

The fix to that is to make sure all Congressional aides and staff must maintain residency in their district and be rotated back to district offices on a sliding monthly basis with 6mo or less maximum time in DC. This would keep the bubble refreshed with constituent influence every 6mo. I propose government provided condo housing to be used for all staff and aides. This would make DC residency less attractive.

Also dispurse all government agencies headquarters to be closer to their area regulation, i.e. Department of Agriculture to i.e. Kansas. The Cabinet Secretaries can do the traveling or remote communication.

Another idea require lobbying only in district offices and only by constituents of the district.

There are many innovative ways to get DC to respond to their constituents not the bubble. Shut down the Swamp!

Thomas F Davis's avatar

Yes. There are too many staffers. Congressional salaries are too high. None of them should own homes in or around DC (except MD and VA reps obviously), I would argue their states should own the condos.

About the only thing I can see that would fix the lobbyist issue is to end their unique security passes at the Capitol. Make them get a day pass like everyone else. Allowing them to stand in the corridors outside the chambers with their thumbs up or down while you and I can’t is a decades long scandal.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

See my comment above. Of course it would be a trap for them, as well.

Kathi M's avatar

It’s dumb for Virginia Democrats to float this plan about replacing the entire court that just ruled against them. In the future they'll be bringing others cases to the justices whose jobs they just threatened. Brilliant!

Kenpowoman's avatar

One thing we can count on progressives for is that they never anticipate the unintended consequences of their words and actions. Never.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Its worse than dumb. Its an overt sign of desperation and panic.

The clock will likely run out. Another "summer of love" cometh.

This round will be unlike the previous, will not be tolerated.

Old Space Cadet's avatar

The summer of love is going to be so violent that the previous ones will look like picnics. They are that desperate because they know they are going extinct. If you live in a democrat controlled area, you might want to take an extended vacation outside the area.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Suspect that is the plan, however this time is different.

The defense is prepared, and has dealt with them before, swiftly.

Old Space Cadet's avatar

I don’t think those troops being removed from Germany and Spain are going to Poland. I think they are coming stateside for the summer of love. BLM and Antifa have never taken on the US military before. Going to be an education for them on FAFO.

A CIA Stooge runs it(Virginia). It's no wonder they were attempting to "cheat" their way through the next election.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Virginia is what you get when you put a s_Election system in place to maintain power. So is California, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, Minnesota and New York to mention a few. You have a minority in those states who have decided they will hold onto power whatever it takes, ethical or not and mostly not. They will gaslight us until the end of time, forever protecting the s_Election systems they have put in place, lest they lose them and we are able to restore truly verifiable and certifiable elections again.

I ask everyone, who thinks it okay, that the government has stolen OUR election system and reports THEIR results to us? Perhaps if enough people can finally come to the correct, constitutional conclusion that elections are Ours, not theirs, then we can restore our country and our fundamental idea that we the people run the country, not the government.

They steal our elections with unconstitutional processes like wholesale mail in ballot fraud enabled by 30 day (and more) mail in periods from unverifiable election stealers and programmable machines which tell them precisely how many ballots they need to dump at the end of an election to stay in power. That's a fact and yet many people will not get involved and do something to stop the theft of power and wealth. For those of you who didn't see it, according to Susie Wiles, POTUS Chief of Staff, in a speech at the International Womens Conference, the dam may about be ready to break proving the theft of the 2020 elections and more.

Truth Seeker's avatar

The elections have been stolen, question is where are the thieves?

Venezuelan Dominion, Smartmatic, and subsidiares have largely been

obliterated with "programmers" from Serbia doing the dirty work.

P Burne and his fav reporter have been consitently dropping the receipts for

a very long time.

No question that there were operatives in the CIA and military, however the electronic voting machines and their backdoor software facilitated the theft.

Between now and the mid-terms strongly suspect disclosures to continue as they have in GA.

05/12/26: We are not exaggerating the chaos and confusion that the Virginia Democrats are currently in (deliciously, of their making).

Congressman Subramanyam (VA; source Wikipedia this date; mentioned in today's column) has been / will be completely out to sea on April 25, 2026 and May 2, 2026; September 14 and 23, 2026; and on February 25/March 3, 2027.

He is engaged in a --- fortunately, for now, thwarted --- legal insurrection of the United States of America. I'd actually would enjoy working in his office simply to witness the number of times he's stumbled over / will trip on his tie and walk into plate-glass walls.

If he's in your congressional district, keep an eye on his comings and goings. I guarantee that you will be amused.

Peter GL's avatar

So the politicians in VA want to retire justices at 53, yet they want to hold on to their positions until they are at death’s door? Where is the logic in that?

Julian Assange Drops Nuclear Truth Bomb – "ZERO DIRT on Trump Because He’s the Most SQUEAKY CLEAN Man in Washington"

By Jonathan Gregory

Washington, D.C. - May 9, 2026

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange delivered a devastating blow to the Deep State narrative during his interview with Megyn Kelly, revealing that his organization never released any damaging material on President Donald Trump for one simple reason: “There is no dirt to release on Donald Trump.” He went further, calling Trump likely the most squeaky clean individual in Washington, a true outsider who never sold out to the globalist cabal of elites. While career politicians drown in decades of scandals and backroom deals, Trump stands untouched, proving once again why the swamp fears him more than anyone else.

Assange cemented his legacy as a true American hero by exposing Hillary Clinton’s corrupt machine and the Democrat establishment’s plans that would have destroyed America’s sovereignty and upended the world order. Thanks to his courageous leaks, the nation dodged a catastrophic bullet in 2016. Now, President Trump stands as the ultimate existential threat to the globalist uni-party cabal. They have absolutely nothing on him, but he holds all the cards to checkmate the Deep State, dismantle their power structures, and restore America First dominance like never before.

God bless Julian Assange, the fearless truth warrior who endured years as a political prisoner and is finally free at last. His explosive revelation confirms what patriots have known all along; Donald Trump operates with unmatched integrity in a city built on lies and blackmail. With no WikiLeaks files to smear him, Trump’s clean record isn’t a coincidence, it’s a weapon. The globalists are panicking, and America is winning bigger than ever. Thank God for Assange and for a President who truly cannot be bought.

Thomas F Davis's avatar

MANIFESTLY illegal is the legal standard. The UCMJ does not empower every service member to question the legality of every order on every legal argument or grounds. Arguing otherwise DOES constitute interference with legitimate authority.

kittynana's avatar

Benjamin- Because you are not in a position of power. Clearly no one gives a sh...crap what your opinion is.

Benjamin Two N's's avatar

I’m sorry you feel that way.

When Kelly is never charged or anything you can go back and remember my post.

dancingtime's avatar

Kelly should have been recalled to active duty and courts-martialed. Most people do not understand military Code of Conduct under which Kelly was still subject. Milley should have the same thing happen.

Elaine's avatar

Kelly certainly encouraged the troops to not follow orders. He called them illegal orders, thinking that the troops would be stupid enough to refuse orders to go into conflict because, Trump. Armed forces personnel do understand what an illegal order is. That tool just muddied the water to try to disrupt Trump. What a damned fool. Looks like he’s in bigger trouble now for disclosing classified info.

Thomas F Davis's avatar

Yep. Trump should suspend all classified briefings to members of Congress until Kelly resigns.

Elaine's avatar

Prosecute him and that kind of stuff stops.

Thomas F Davis's avatar

Yes, that should be in the pipeline, but hardball can be played right now. Vance would be in the best position to make the press conference.

Joze's avatar

Shared this last week... but if you think its this bad in VA and MI ... Think what IL, MN, CA, NY and the rest of the liberal East Coast must be like.... one of the things that gives me hope is how much that means can still be exposed in the next couple months:

If you heard about Michigan's Gretchen Whitmer & her ties to DNC/ActBlue'ish fundraiser Fay Beydoun's $4,000 coffee machine... And thought that was bad... The details behind that are worse (in some way if you read the Affidavit its hard not to see both Gov. Whitmer and some Republicans playing along? Horse trading??... but in the end this is plainly another example of ActBlu'ish Fraud):

(See below for highlights from the State of Michigan's Affidavit of Probable Cause - source doc is):

https://www.michigan.gov/ag/-/media/Project/Websites/AG/releases/2026/May/Affidavit-FILED-5-4-26-Redacted.pdf?rev=8bce32e2e7da4e6f84f74b546432d011&hash=3F2323DC010E377CB30712FB1EB6F7FD

If actual working tax payers were aware of where their taxes are being spent:

$10,000 to an attorney (also named "Beydoun" - Hattem Beydoun; unk if any relation), for litigating an insurance dispute of Fay's son Ayman (and Fay creating a FALSE invoice to cover up that expense).

$40,800 on falsified leases, to cover an apartment (unknown location - but must be pretty nice at $40,000 for one year?); for her Son Ayman Beydoun (leased from a man named Fadi Salhab; whether he did not knowly participate in this fraud.... is not as clear).

$6,148 for two handmade rugs from Tunisia; (purchased on Fay's trip to Tunisia); one of which she offered to her son Ayman.... again (amazing to see the text documentation in this affidavit).

$1,500 and $1,800 checks for catering (paid to a man named: Mohamed Nassereddine ) for two private dinners she hosted for (formerly?) Democratic Mayor of Detroit Mike Duggan on 06/29 & 08/15/2023; one of which her dear son Ayman was invited to (and specifically told he was 'welcome to come as a guest, I don't need you to do anything')... She claimed this catering was for 'Focus Groups' - Nassereddine (the Caterer) confirmed these events were for Dem. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan; not for GLI nor focus groups.

+Beydoun compensates herself for the above graft and MORE; by paying herself an annual salary of $550,000 ... ($20K+ twice a month; apparently not for business start ups, but ... to host dinners and fundraisers for Democrats?; perhaps she got these grant funds for previously hosting fund raisers for Gretchen Whitmer?? .... and after she got this 'grant' she turned to do so for the next generation that Can NOT run as a Democrat because the Brand has been so tarnished... for example former Democrat Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan... who now wants to run as an independent??

Also... what's so far been reported on by no one; which might catche your eye on page 3 under #19, of the above linked affidavit; is where a man named Sharif Hussein asks Fay Beydoun: "Will you be joining the incoming Administration" (This was just after the 2020 Election in a text on: 11/20/2020)... She replies: "No"... "Staying in Michigan. Working on a project I would like you to be involved in." ... She was referring to her ActBlu'ish Fraud scheme to apparently pay for her son's living expenses... But, shucks.... could you imagine the good she could have done for BuyDem & ActBlu'ish if she HAD gone to D.C. ???

Ruth H's avatar

Wow. Haven’t read about MI fraud, but these examples are very interesting to the level of fraud so apparent there’s no fear in doing so. 🤬🤬🤬

Joze's avatar

Its not just the Fraud though.. It was amazing to read that affidavit and see the blatant racism (of these Muslim community members against the perceived Majority... both in their contracting and later in blatant comment)... you actually have to drill down into the text messages between the parties to see that near the end... but is seems the MSM is unlikely to drill down or politically incorrectly report that... just as none of them mentioned the inference of Fay Beydoun going to Washington DC as noted in one of the earlier text or email exchanges. What i've been hearing of the diasporas taking over Michigan and now Texas (and the laudable fight against sharia non-sense there) gives me pause. GROK's CONGRESSIONAL MAP: What would the MOST FAIR U.S. House map look like if we followed the Founding Fathers’ Principles?

- Apportion seats strictly by population (census)

- Draw compact, contiguous districts inside each state only

- No partisan data, no racial engineering, no weird shapes

- Prioritize whole counties & communities

RESULT: A clean map with 265-285 R to 150-170 D seats in a 50/50 nation.

Yes, it is AI generated, but the content and spot on voices is great especially Senator Kennedy's.

shayne's avatar

Love Senator John Kennedy.

Gloria Magee's avatar

I used to. Before becoming a recent transplant to LA. The accent he adopts is fake so I don’t see much difference in that and others adopting a ghetto one. He seems to be all talk and little action. His voting record appears to be very spotty in regards to conservative issues. I’m having trouble finding solid information on him but what I have found is not giving me what I need. However, it looks like Cassidy (a RINO) is going to be primaried so at least there’s some positive news from this state!

shayne's avatar

WOW. Most everything I've seen him talk on, he seems very conservative. And he's funny. I guess you just never know.

Gloria Magee's avatar

I liked him too when I lived in AR. He is funny. But now I have to vote here in LA. (Early in my voting life, I unknowingly voted for a crazy liberal because I wouldn’t vote for the convicted former police chief and didn't do my homework and was just voting against someone. I refuse to ever do that again. So. I don’t vote for unopposed Dems, either….) I have a LOT of learning to do for LA. I knew AR. Not so much, here.

Also. I have found that you don’t really know politicians unless you live in that state. Example: a lot of people love Sarah Huckabee Sanders. But she has done a LOT of questionable things as governor and supported Mike Pence on one of his ‘projects’ before she won the election. I did not vote for her because there were better Republican options.

RunningLogic's avatar

Why do you say his accent is fake? Genuinely curious.

Gloria Magee's avatar

(My understanding is limited because we are recently moved and I’ve been tied up with helping my daughter with our first grandson out of 9 granddarlings.)

Kennedy is very well educated. Like many others who adopt accents for their political advantage, he turns it off and on whenever it is expedient. What I don’t know is his background and if he comes by it from that or if he just decided it would be useful. But he is not the country bumpkin he likes to portray on national tv. So I see that as fake. Maybe that isn’t the most accurate word choice.

But his voting record in the past has not been stellar. That is somewhat easy to look up. (I’m just rushed for time today. 2 appointments and my daughter’s fridge is going out so I don’t have time for receipts…. Sorry.)

RunningLogic's avatar

Thank you for the clarification, I appreciate your response! Just another perspective, though—I know many people who as you put it “turn their accents on and off” depending on the person with whom they are speaking, or the setting. Some people purposely (or not, it also can happen naturally) “lose” their accent but then when they get with others who have the same accent, it comes right back again. Or when they’re mad or emotional, it can also come back. Plus you can be educated and still have a strong regional accent. So purely based on that, I would not personally judge him. However, I am definitely interested in his voting record.

You would think many democrats are descendants of Nazis. We know our dna can transfer illness to our kids but other traits can be passed down as well. Addictions, yes disease, financial problems, even the obvious Communism, Marxism, socialism, Atheism, etc. It’s very plain to see the democrats are direct descendants of Nazis. Shackling political opponents, jailing them, censorship, forcing experimental injections into people even their own ministry of truth. Making laws to kick judges out at 54 is maybe new to most of us but the democrats use the Nazi playbook like it’s a sporting event.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter their background. Take a look at Mark Kelly for instance. He walked out of a top secret meeting with Secretary Hegseth and blathered out how low America is low on specific weapons systems, blatant treason that can get Americans killed. With treasonous senators like Arizonian Mark Kelly who needs enemies.

How is it possible to live in a prosperous nation when almost 1/2 of our politicians hate our country and have distain for its citizens. Kelly belongs in the dock, today!

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

Even though historians have tried their best to tie the Nazis and the Fascists to right wing politics, it's pretty clear that their actual roots are in liberal/progressive/socialist politics. Democrats have historically been authoritarians from the country's beginnings and now they have finally embraced their heritage: fascism/naziism. "You shall know them by their fruits."

I think I lobbied for that .... eg. That the U.S. Volunteer to turn him over to the Hague/International Criminal Court... It has its drawbacks for setting a bad precedent.... but so does Fauci never being made an example of. Thanks!

CHop's avatar

RICO has not expired either. There are still many who idolize Fauci and until that wanes, I don't think he will be indicted.

Laura Garcia's avatar

The thing about the 24/7 news cycle and the literal “surfing” of issues by the masses versus deep dive critical thinking…it is part of the propaganda machinery used by the press and the chosen mouthpieces to simply distract and direct the public so that there is never really any resolution, justice, definition of collective values/standards….instead, just constant theatre for all to behold and participate in based on their daily emotions and malleable “convictions.”

There are no lines in the sand that we hold dear and rally around to ensure they are not crossed.

Nope, just a big desert sandstorm and those who claim or act as beacons in the storm for those trying to navigate the barrage of nonsense in our supposedly ever increasingly complex and emergent world have themselves become comfortable with peddling certain “acceptable” narratives. Holding fast to truth in times like this will cost you…and even those who claim to be doing so are still negotiating.

Some truths become apparent over time….a lot of noise doesn’t mean there is value to be found in the chatter….it means we are easily spoon fed nuggets and issues framed to keep us complacent in the hope that there is some value to be had….

But let’s face it….life’s pretty simple and all the noise and even the preparation of the nuggets we are supposed to cherish as “truth” or winning are mostly representative of a game being played by those who don’t waste time thinking about us….or what we want, need or value.

And yup….we are supposed to just accept that holding Fauci et al accountable is a bridge too far.

Question remains….why? The answer is pretty simple…but decidedly inconvenient…so like the long list of adverse reactions to the mRNA vaccine…we just look away, ignore, or pretend a reckoning is in the works….even as the damn shot remains on the market.

It is not a right vs left thing….its an us vs them thing.

Psst….who is Trump rubbing elbows with and what are their goals?

Joze's avatar

While I always support striving for doing the right thing and life is pretty simple (big fan of Ockham's Razor)... There's no denying that we live in a world of - the lesser of two (or 3 or 10) evils... So while I think its is wonderful to question who Trump is 'rubbing elbows with'. The alternative that he presents compared to what the Traitor 'Weekend at Bernie's' Biden and his whole administration was pushing as their goals... seems to be night and day. Best wishes to US all.

Laura Garcia's avatar

I appreciate the sentiment and was once where you are….but I have come to a place of realizing we can’t vote ourselves out of this.

Again, it is not a left vs right thing. Our system is captured and corrupted and it is time, in my opinion, that we get more comfortable calling it out rather than resigning ourselves to the “lesser of two evils.”

Joze's avatar

Most important - Sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother (Covid/Vax era and the insanity of all that makes it all so much worse - My Mother was denied access to her patient advocates and caregivers, health reasons unrelated to covid - but due to the unconscionable and unconstitutional polices of the leaders at that time; she never got vax and never had covid... still the insanity claimed her and all who love her among it victims... So again, sorry for your loss and wishing you peace AND accountability.

While I understand you sentiment about being jaded and unimpressed by Trump and RFK Jr.,etc. - what if it was just more Biden? (Actually Obama... via a Harris Administration?).... How much BETTER has this path been than that alternative?

So again - for me it's not necessarily the lesser of 2-10 evils... but Making a choice and taking responsibility for it.... and demanding all we can of it(?).

Laura Garcia's avatar

Thank you. Sorry for what your mum endured. Too many losses for too many.

Our system is broken. I went through breast cancer in 2014. I was recently diagnosed with a reoccurrence. Let me tell you….the difference between my diagnosis and care in 2014 compared to the current situation is night and day and NOT for the better. First time, diagnosed within a week. This time delays and a system that they are trying to automate makes for a hellscape….has taken nearly a month to even get a confirmed diagnosis. But it’s all for us! Lol! Innovation, progress, AI, tech revolution they cheer….meanwhile humanity and accountability are stripped from the system. You pay more and do half of the work for the ones making a profit by turning us into cattle to be managed.

DaveL's avatar

A lot of commenters, and especially columnists, like to push the idea that Trump got elected because half the country is "MAGA." (I suppose that is to plant the seed we need concentration camps later to purify the populace.) But it's more like what you say: the alternative was so much worse for so many voters they had no choice but to vote for Trump.

Joze's avatar

Two things... First - For as much as Trump is a bloviator and surely has self interests... The self interest of Biden as VP (and Kerry as Sec.of State under Obama) running interference for their sons (the Great Artist Hunter and the Billionaire Chris Heinz (step-son); respectively) so that they could (via Rosemont Seneca) form Bohai Harvest with the Communist State of China... for THEIR benefit (China, Biden, Heinz to get their hands on the energy reserves in the the still corrupt Ukraine countryside)... is perhaps the only traitorous conduct more deserving of punishment than Fauci's with China... There is a common denominator in both of them the world seems to want to ignore... It does not seem Trump is willing to ignore China - Guess we will see soon enough; depending upon how his visit with them goes this week.

Second - Those who in any way connect "MAGA" with 'Concentration Camps' ... are trying to exploit the small percentage of the KKK/Nazi/"Threat to Democracy" crowd; that (Hypocritically) actually seem to be the last vestiges of the Old Democrats and the New DNC/ActBlu'ish; the don't even realize that is the agenda they are pushing. I belong to what I believe to be the ACTUAL Majority of Americans who elected Trump (and are pissed with all efforts to obstruct and obfuscate the agenda we elected him for); which is not "MAGA"... but to Restore and take literally: "Make America Great Again".... The people who recognize whenever the left disparagingly says "MAGA" and then you actually say what those letters mean in the context of what they are talking about - Makes them look like Fools. My take is if a few pieces fall into place: Ukraine, Iran, Mid-term elections via exposure and accountability for ActBlu'ish & Covid era Fraud... The "Golden Age" Trump talked of, may be more of a reality than a dream - That the left will not even try to envision that future and only wants more of the same (so they can live off the graft & debt of of others) is stomach churning. When I see Trump face the daily threat of death - I do not believe that's because he has some hidden agenda for profits... The man is an ego maniac who wants one thing more than that - a legacy. He knows - even if he dies in the process - the surest way to that; is to: Make America Great and leave no doubt he played a role in doing so. (Guess that makes me a MAGA "True Believer"... but back to the original point of the "lesser of two or more evils".... This is the best path forward presented at this time).

Good luck to US all & best wishes.

Johnny-O's avatar

Majority of Americans didn't elect Trump because many don't even vote to begin with. The majority of people who voted elected Trump. He doesn't have majority support. No politicians do.

nah, some graduated character assessment review, and were cured from the Derangement Syndrome. Lesser of evils arguments advance false constructs.

Laura Garcia's avatar

Oh…and I am particularly jaded and unimpressed with Trump, RFK, Jr and their promises….list my mom to the vax under horrific circumstances. And as a result….you might say I have cause to examine more closely the number of promises made and broken as the same players who brought us the COVID chaos, nonsense, censorship, etc. still have a seat at the table and are advancing the globalist data driven surveillance tokenization agenda and control grid while people are cheering and moaning over the literal bloodsport in the political arena….gladiators comes to mind. Give the people what they want….cheering for the other side’s demise or losing all perspective and sanity as the walls close in.

Plato’s Allegory of the Cave….more people need to break the chains and turn their heads and see that the left vs right theater is exactly that….meant to distract and appease the masses while making them complacent as they anticipate the next act in the show that will surely have them “winning.”

Yes, & he gave that same "medal" to 50+ the people from General Mark Milley to Jared Kushner ... for "Operation Warp Speed" work ... hindsight 20/20 he was wrong to do so. Perhaps not to Try "Warp Speed"... but surely to make the results of it Mandatory; which is solely on Biden. So, I'm an ardent pro-Trump guy too... On balance he's done a hell of a lot more good than Biden or most of the past 6 or more Presidents have done... and that includes #45... #47 - So far... pretty darn good...
