I hear your point, but I have a highly intelligent, older brother, who to my knowledge has never lied or done one thing to bend the rules or break the laws in his life. I know that is hard to believe. But he has a very strong sense of morals. He’s not perfect, and is not always able to understand other peoples emotional reactions, even though he actually has a very big heart. He really came through when my father was dying .He’s been working for the same drug company for decades. He really truly believes that Pharma are the good guys trying to save humanity, since he is a good guy with no malice in his heart. He is an atheist by my definition, believing only in science. He also thinks all scientists are well intentioned because he is. He is a loving husband and wonderful father and grandfather. Who knows, perhaps he will reach out for God when his own time is near. Needless to stay he’s probably had six or so Covid, genetic injections, and has had Covid four or five times.
Hopelessly naive comes to mind. That is not to impugn his character. He just hasn't had his eyes opened. This is often a result of the belief that deep down "everyone is basically good". The Biblical view is that all are "depraved" due to the Fall and in need of God's sovereign grace. That's called the doctrine of the total depravity of man.

We are not "rewarded" for our good works. IE, we do not earn salvation. Our good works do not punch our ticket to heaven. Salvation is only by the grace of God. This is called Sovereign Grace. A little book by Charles H. Spurgeon called "All Of Grace" is well worth the read.
Earning salvation is not the same as being rewarded for our good works (even though those works could never merit salvation). Consider the parables where servants are rewarded for being faithful with what they were given; and consider that even without "concrete" rewards, those who have done what is right in difficult times will have the reward of being honored in the Kingdom.
Totally agree. As servants or "slaves of Christ", we do receive honor as we are all, in Christ, sons of God. And as you pointed out, salvation itself is a whole different question.

What blows my mind is that the European people, with the exception of the Russian people, do not remember the massive suffering, death and total destruction of Europe in WWII. Last night, I was watching season 2 of the Netflix series, Graham Hancock's "Ancient Apocalypse: The Americas". Graham postulates that the human race has amnesia. I would suggest that this ailment is chronic. In just two generations, humanity has forgotten the horrors of WWII. As one who grew up on WWII movies that depicted America as the heroes and then watched America repeat these errors in Korea and Vietnam, these horrors are all too vivid.
For those who are unfamiliar with Graham's voluminous works, I highly recommend this series for an illuminating birds-eye view of human history. Ancient history has been a hobby interest of mine since middle school. Graham, who was born 4 months before I was born, has made it his life's work to upset the established paradigm of the academic anthropological "experts" whose interpretation of history is informed by their evolutionary presuppositions. Graham is a journalist and as such he has no "dog in the fight" to defend the established paradigm of human history. Pull up this Netflix series. You will enjoy it.

My research institution wouldn't let me use it; I had to use the one the lawyers wrote, with a ton of tiny print in legalese, so other than what I told them verbally they weren't really giving informed consent.

Earning salvation is not the same as being rewarded for our good works (even though those works could never merit salvation). Consider the parables where servants are rewarded for being faithful with what they were given; and consider that even without "concrete" rewards, those who have done what is right in difficult times will have the reward of being honored in the Kingdom.
Totally agree. As servants or "slaves of Christ", we do receive honor as we are all, in Christ, sons of God. And as you pointed out, salvation itself is a whole different question.

Last night, I was watching season 2 of the Netflix series, Graham Hancock's "Ancient Apocalypse: The Americas". Graham postulates that the human race has amnesia. I would suggest that this ailment is chronic. In just two generations, humanity has forgotten the horrors of WWII. As one who grew up on WWII movies that depicted America as the heroes and then watched America repeat these errors in Korea and Vietnam, these horrors are all too vivid.
For those who are unfamiliar with Graham's voluminous works, I highly recommend this series for an illuminating birds-eye view of human history. Ancient history has been a hobby interest of mine since middle school. Graham, who was born 4 months before I was born, has made it his life's work to upset the established paradigm of the academic anthropological "experts" whose interpretation of history is informed by their evolutionary presuppositions. Graham is a journalist and as such he has no "dog in the fight" to defend the established paradigm of human history. Pull up this Netflix series. You will enjoy it.

Saw several "testy" takes on that interview. I think I also saw that the Trump campaign posted the whole thing as their new campaign ad, but that could have been a joke. While I'm glad to see the FDA actually putting a halt on something mRNA related, it's still far too little, too late. They had a chance to actually stop this thing in the beginning, do real tests, and release their data in a shorter-than-70-year timeframe without a lawsuit, but instead chose to hide and attempt to cover things up or bury them. All of that has caused quite a few to take a closer look at "FDA Approved" drugs as well as "drugs the FDA buried prematurely". I didn't panic, I knew my diaphragm had seized and I needed to be Heimlich-ed. I wrapped arms about my middle and bent over really really fast while trying to yell. Got a tiny bit of breath out. I sat up fast trying to yell. Got a tiny bit of breath in. I just kept doing that until my diaphragm took over. I've wondered about those folks who wound up in hospital on ventilators, especially now that we know covid does stop the diaphragm from working.

As an example of a minimal risk clinical trial, I ran a clinical trial with minimal risk to subjects once, back when we needed informed consent. (I have no problem with keeping it for those studies, either. More "informed" and more "consent" is always good.) My 'minimal risk' was to have one additional tube of blood drawn through the same needle, as the last tube taken (in Navy Basic Training medical in-processing), with no re-stick to get our tube if it didn't fill. I wanted to use an informed consent form I wrote myself, because I wanted it to be easily and clearly understood by young Navy recruits. My research institution wouldn't let me use it; I had to use the one the lawyers wrote, with a ton of tiny print in legalese, so other than what I told them verbally they weren't really giving informed consent.
Sharyl Attkinson talked about a trial on the Highwire a few weeks ago. Infants in the hospital were tested with oxygen levels. The adjustment knobs were removed so the nurses couldn't adjust them. Some developed oxygen depraved conditions and some died. This FDA guideline is running cover for them.
