About 10 years ago (or less) citizens proposed that we start our own “cable” service like its own utility. When I call I talk to someone in my town. Wow! The cable companies fought and whined and there were miraculous price drops. Concast service was horrible and expensive I got 1GB internet now for $50/month. Price never changes. I hooked up my TV antenna if I want to watch football but it’s rarely ever on.
They’ll only learn if you litigate. It’s one form of protest. So is abstinence. Like paying for TV.
The best thing our town did was to create its own internet company.
BTW…happy retirement!
what town is this, with this kind of wisdom?
