If you subscribe to the Hemispheric notion of cognition, many of the HR folks I've encountered are left hemispheric oriented. The job in a way demands it. They have a list of rules and run through those rules, and can't/won't make exceptions. I've never met an HR person that could tolerate someone being a bit ungovernable.

I detest HR droids, and I can spot them a mile away. They're the backstabbers of the world. A former HR woman that I know has REALLY good seats to PADRES baseball games, and wants me to go with her, but. . . Eee, I don't know if I can stand her Pollyanna fakeness.

Ian McGilchrist? "The Matter with Things" is a slog but worth it if you have the time.

I was so proud when I made it through all those pages. He is now touring, talking to young people about returning to the sacred. He'll be at Hillsdale, then at Ralston in Savannah. There are a lot of less formidable youtube videos in which he speaks on his ideas. He's a Daoist, but loves Christianity. Conservative Woman is reporting that people are flooding the Orthodox churches in Great Britain and abandoning the Church of England, which has fallen to DEI and CRT and climate cultism and pride. That archbishop Justin Welby, to me, is an argument for the existence of demonic possession. He makes the hairs on the back of my neck go rigid, spidey senses kick in big time.

I'm actually not through Vol. 2 yet! But I'm determined. Lucky you if you get to see him!

Most HR people think they are above the rules, but it is hilarious when they are canned and find they aren't so invincible after all. They cry like babies!
