I have a hard time placing ALL the hate and blame on Trump when he had a 25-person “evangelical executive advisory board" and one of them turned out to be immoral when he was in his 20s. (And frankly while he appears to not be anymore in that precise same way, he still is in other ways if his handling of it all these years later is anyth…

(And frankly while he appears to not be anymore in that precise same way, he still is in other ways if his handling of it all these years later is anything to judge by.) I’m certain there are more among that 25 board that have immoral incidences in their lives and just haven’t been caught, just like the blowhards that write articles like this probably are immoral too, and indeed associate with people who are extremely immoral and they just don’t know it yet. Shall we dig up those people and attach it to the character of the writer?
As far as I’ve seen as soon as Trump has become fully aware of someone’s low character or criminal activities he distances himself. Every time. And yes, we usually give people the benefit of the doubt until we have clear proof. So many of these accusations are politically motivated so it’s easy to wonder if they aren’t false. But he always does the right thing when things become clear and certain. He gets no credit for that? How many of his haters can say the same thing?
When people want to tear another person down it’s easy: just dig enough into every association they have ever had and find something no matter how far back it goes and then claim “See! He associates with those just like himself!”
The underlying hate and bias in this writing is so obvious by its leading verbiage and not journalism at all. It lays open the sins of one man and duck tapes it to another man that they desperately hate and want to discredit.
Yes Trump needs wisdom beyond what man can give to him if he has any hope of avoiding associating with squalor. Only the Holy Spirit has the power to move in his gut with a feeling of unease that might seem illogical on the surface. I have associated with people that contradicted what my own character is and it was during times when I wasn’t plugged into God. It’s easy to not see what we need to sooner when left to rely our own devices. And I’m not sure just how intimate Trump is with God and the Holy Spirit, so we all need to pray on his behalf for the Spirit to intercede regularly.
We live in a time where you’d have to live underground away from people if you never want to be accused of the sins of others via association.
I don’t endorse the TDS tone of the article, at all. But I can understand why people get emotional about the issues raised. The facts matter, especially when they don’t support your (or my) favored narrative.
I’m not trying to be glib here, either. Pray for discernment, pray for guidance for our leaders.

A wise comment Juju.

I just don’t see ANY fact in that article that pertains to our trusting our commander in chief today.
Juju- Correct, and Trump had nothing to do with something Robert Morris did 43 years ago.
What about it, Shy Boy?
