He was sacrificed (by the Father) FOR the sins of all who accept Him as the Messiah. And there are those who actually had him crucified/killed because He spoke God's truth against their false Judaic "religion" and as a result of their actions, the Judaic establishment incurred God's wrath when in the same generation Christ returned in judgement destroying the Temple and leaving Jerusalem desolate as He prophesied when He walked among them.
