My worry is that Trump has badly eroded his base by getting into bed with the Zionist/NeoCon agenda with a New Forever War (Iran on a false pretext) and with Gaza genocide as a rider. And had the MAGA agenda gone forward as in the first few months (USAID shutdown, for example), it is likely the midterms would now be a red landslide.

I think that President Trump knew this. To make the choice to go into Iran at the risk of this current midterm situation means clearly that he knew something about it important enough to go in despite the possible consequences. He has info we are not privy to (as he should) and imo we have to trust he did the right thing. As for Lindsey Graham, his evolving relationship with the president clearly show a man who had changed his warmonger mindset and had become a trusted friend to Trump towards the end of his life. He may even have been “brought into submission” after his warmongering ways. If I were in that that state, that would be enough for me to vote for Trump’s endorsed candidate.

I was disgusted by my ballot when I saw how many local/state offices had a Democrat running unopposed. The Republican party in New Mexico isn't even trying. I refuse to ever vote for a Democrat so all of those offices got left blank. Let the undervote be my protest statement. Republicans, are you paying attention?

There was no MAGA-like fight in Republicans I could see in the Republicans except for the exceptions. And if you are a big enough pain in the ass for the right reasons, the Republicans would and still would run you out of the party ... like they did with Bob Marshall in Virginia, and more recently with Massie and Green in Washington. And if we lose the midterms to the Commie Radicals, the reason will be the shelving of the MAGA rally promises. For example, the Ukraine War should have been over with Alaska, and a new NeoCon/Zionist war never started. The focus should be on securing the Americas, getting real industry and mining going and doing something about the debt.

I did it yesterday believing I was going to need at least an hour or two to be able to printout ballot recommendation cheat sheet for each of us in my family. I thought I was going to have to haul out my laptop collecting dust on my DR table.
I started in my recliner with my iPad, feet tucked under my bum, and pasted his entire prompt into grok, used an address down the street from me, only added three things to the prompt section for my values (constitutional, pro-homeschool, pro-Charlie Kirk,) and hit send.
Less than 2 minutes later Grok popped out a clear and concise answer and a link to a pdf cheat sheet tailored specifically to us.
I sat there shocked. Two minutes, not two hours. Back in 2024 I spent over 4 hours one afternoon trying to research what was going to be on our ballots. Just researching judges took all that time and I gave up, only able to get a clear picture for one of them.
All the time and frustration I would have needed to spend to get even half the reliable recommendations was done in minutes by Grok, without frustration.
With a tool like this there is absolutely no reason not to vote

I wasn’t able to do that back in 2024, and the judges showed no political affiliations, and the issues/amendments/initiatives/referendums/etc had no party affiliation anywhere or any indication what our party would recommend. Granted I live in RINOville so it’s really all just blue.

Doesn't work for "non-partisan" positions, which judges and prosecutors, plus many county level positions are. You have to dig to find out what their orientation really is and it's VITAL to cleansing our justice system.
Fortunately, I've received mailers for most of those "non-partisans" who conveniently list their progressive or conservative bona fides.

We summer in upstate NY so requested absentee ballots for the August primary. Only that election. They were sent and we voted. We left in early September but don't return home until November 1st. Plan to vote in person. Yesterday my seasonal NY neighbor checked my mailbox to find absentee ballots! Not forwardable so just sitting there. She will mail them to my home address, where they should be held. Should be. This is just 1 of many crazy election stories that cause us not to trust the system, including the PO.

I took out "pro-Trump" because i thought the other modifiers covered what I really am...and I'm not 100% happy with all his decisions. And next time I think I"ll remove "Limbaugh style..." and just put "pro principle of subsidiarity" which may effectively be the same thing, but might describe me better.

My husband manages 30 employees. He’s having a meeting and telling them all to go vote and if they bring back proof of voting he will not clock them out for their wages. It’s a blue collar worker mentality so most of the guys we know are voting conservative. Some new employees we don’t know. He has some guys that don’t vote and he’s giving them the freedom during work hours to go do it! It's odd, but all the people in the far left where I live are totally into guns and gun culture. I was working as a computer engineer a few years back and I asked my boss (who's super far left) what kind of guns and rifles he had. His response to me was that it's more like what once he didn't have because he had so many. Then I found out everyone on the left in our County here in Washington State are completely into guns. I think it all started with Sam Harris's "the riddle of the gun" which was hugely popular at the time. Very odd but also very concerning.

Yes and no. Older Americans like us, you’re correct. But they have spent the past 2-3 decades indoctrinating our children in the schools and universities. They have failed to teach true history, revised it, and screwed up the wiring of their thinking. They have purposefully mistaught our Constitution and government. We have millions who don’t understand what they really should and they vote. Capture the minds of the youth and you capture a nation. Unity means a return to respect for that foundation not strict adherence to either religion. That's a very Islamic way of doing things. I do not think practitioners of Islam can do that. Not merely because of its religious practices but because it does not, cannot, separate its theology from its political ideology. America requires that. It is why Christians and Jews can stand united. Because we seek commonality. Which is why blacks and whites can stand united. Hispanics and blacks and whites can be united. Asians and Hispanics and blacks and whites can be united. And on and on and on. But it all starts with respect for the foundation upon which we were founded. The West has not suffered because it welcomed diversity. The west is suffering because it welcomed with open arms those who will not, cannot, reconcile their beliefs with that foundation. IOW it fails to recognize the concept of emnity. I have no such inability. Nor I think do you.
I have a fix ! Indulge me for a moment please. It revolves around money. Our tax money. And I seriously think this could heal much of the great divide.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest the “fix” is actually simpler than you might think . How? separate spending from funding. Elected politicians can and should propose spending BUT ONLY citizen taxpayers should APPROVE FUNDING . I.E. distribute decision making across the entire taxpayer population . This will tend to put a hard stop to fraud, waste, lobbying and stupid socialist ideas. In practice Every taxpayer must assign their tax dollars for or NOT for each spending bill proposed. Make a bill obtuse and unintelligible? Propose a tax on those that work and give to those who don’t ? No problem. Just say “no you can’t use my tax dollars for that.” Bills that taxpayers agree to fund get annual audits and review ie can the government continue to use my tax dollars for this? (That would have saved us all billions on the California high sped rail to nowhere.) The result: Budgets then shrink or swell based on performance and the will of THOSE who actually fund the government. If everyone with skin in the game (ie taxpayers) did this, graft and political manipulation would approach zero. Nothing focuses the mind, and improves the IQ more than having one’s own hard work stolen and misused. And nothing would do more to unite Democrats and Republicans than everyone getting the governance they want TO THE EXTENT THEY WERE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. Note: non-contributing citizens and non-citizens ARE NOT allowed in this assignment. Why? Because they get their say when they vote for or lobby their representatives who propose the spending. But if they aren’t actually paying taxes for government services, then they shouldn’t get to fund the government! This is the step change needed in our constitution! And would do a great deal more to secure our God given rights than all the pontificating party politics or all the social media complaining or all the useless dumb ass protesting or all the handwringing by weak powerless citizens. Last, anyone wanting to influence government spending, which is another way of saying policy , would be most directly able to do it by getting a JOB and paying their taxes.

I just looked up the percentage of national registered Republicans that consider themselves Maga. It’s 55% of the total Republican vote. I think we need to agree that almost no Maga Republican is gonna sit out this election. I hear you. But my understanding is that the source of those mailers is unclear. They came from a corporation registered in either Montana or one if the Dakotas and there is no clear identification of who runs the corporation. I think this raises the possibility that it was a Republican supporter using a dirty trick. But it also raises the possibility that it is a Democrat supporter trying to undermine Republicans as dirty tricksters. It could also be an unaffiliated person or group fed up with both parties trying to illustrate exactly what is at stake. SMH that this is what we have devolved to.
Agreed that the source is unclear, and that just makes it worse. Just the fact we received it, though, pissed a lot of people off (at least locally, though I've seen it blasted across the state in various forums, too). If nothing else it helped raise awareness of the issues at stake again, like you said.
Texans are usually more poll aware than other states, at least from what I've seen of past elections. Even during midterms we tend to have higher turnouts. I credit our mentality of personal responsibility for that - we still (to my knowledge) teach that Texas was and can be its own Republic; that instills a level of pride that gets left out of many other states, I think.
The whole "Talarico disappearing" act really didn't help anything, and the narrative has been heavily on the side of Republicans, too. Here's hoping the big cities don't screw us over again, since Houston, Austin, and Dallas tend to be the deciding factors, bless their hearts.

My worry is that Trump has badly eroded his base by getting into bed with the Zionist/NeoCon agenda with a New Forever War (Iran on a false pretext) and with Gaza genocide as a rider. This was my worry even before Iran and Gaza. I saw it the minute I saw Trump palling around with Toxic Lindsey the NeoCon Graham. And I immediately thought no good would come of it. I wasn’t able to do that back in 2024, and the judges showed no political affiliations, and the issues/amendments/initiatives/referendums/etc had no party affiliation anywhere or any indication what our party would recommend. Granted I live in RINOville so it’s really all just blue.

Our ballot had a judge running as an incumbent with the party “ democrat/republican”. Seriously.
Doesn't work for "non-partisan" positions, which judges and prosecutors, plus many county level positions are. You have to dig to find out what their orientation really is and it's VITAL to cleansing our justice system.

We summer in upstate NY so requested absentee ballots for the August primary. Only that election. They were sent and we voted. We left in early September but don't return home until November 1st. Plan to vote in person. Yesterday my seasonal NY neighbor checked my mailbox to find absentee ballots! Not forwardable so just sitting there. She will mail them to my home address, where they should be held. Should be. This is just 1 of many crazy election stories that cause us not to trust the system, including the PO.

Maybe it was longer because I'm in a different state. It used 125 sources. Very helpful. I pullout out the print copy of all the Questions on the ballot for the 2 that it basically said "it's your call" because it wasn't clear. One went "yes" and one went "no" for me.
I took out "pro-Trump" because i thought the other modifiers covered what I really am...and I'm not 100% happy with all his decisions. And next time I think I"ll remove "Limbaugh style..." and just put "pro principle of subsidiarity" which may effectively be the same thing, but might describe me better.

No. I called our county GOP in 2024 and asked for a voter guide and was told they didn’t do that anymore. 😐
Search a candidate’s name (Judges) and you can quickly research them.
Only one was recommended for retaining here (out of 4 or 5). The others’ websites gave case decision examples and information about who appointed them. They were a bunch of pussies in my estimation. I said no to them. They should be easy enough to replace.

My husband manages 30 employees. He’s having a meeting and telling them all to go vote and if they bring back proof of voting he will not clock them out for their wages. The unending doom from Republican influencers this cycle has really floored me. That they have chosen to ignore the most correct race caller of 2024, Seth Keshel, is even weirder. Democrat operative Evan Barker, who wrote "Nothing Left" and knows Dems inside and out has also been ignored by saying Talarico has no chance. Doesn't make sense. The demoralizing worked on me for a while and made me not want to vote, but I am of course going to vote.
I also recently lost a childhood friend who turned out to be an ardent fangirl of Heather Cox Richardson. My friend was the most down to earth, level headed Democrat I knew. No more. HCR is evil incarnate and I can't believe so many white liberal women hang on her every word.

That is terrible to hear. Years ago, I lost a friend after I didn't champion Michael Moore's film on guns. Her boyfriend at the time was telling her how to think. It's odd, but all the people in the far left where I live are totally into guns and gun culture. I was working as a computer engineer a few years back and I asked my boss (who's super far left) what kind of guns and rifles he had. His response to me was that it's more like what once he didn't have because he had so many. Then I found out everyone on the left in our County here in Washington State are completely into guns. I think it all started with Sam Harris's "the riddle of the gun" which was hugely popular at the time. Very odd but also very concerning.

One thing I always gave the left credit for was recognizing that since they themselves are so irresponsible, unhinged, and ruled by emotion that they realize they cannot be trusted to own guns. I have a fix ! Indulge me for a moment please. It revolves around money. Our tax money. And I seriously think this could heal much of the great divide.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest the “fix” is actually simpler than you might think . How? separate spending from funding. Elected politicians can and should propose spending BUT ONLY citizen taxpayers should APPROVE FUNDING . I.E. distribute decision making across the entire taxpayer population . This will tend to put a hard stop to fraud, waste, lobbying and stupid socialist ideas. In practice Every taxpayer must assign their tax dollars for or NOT for each spending bill proposed. Make a bill obtuse and unintelligible? Propose a tax on those that work and give to those who don’t ? No problem. Just say “no you can’t use my tax dollars for that.” Bills that taxpayers agree to fund get annual audits and review ie can the government continue to use my tax dollars for this? (That would have saved us all billions on the California high sped rail to nowhere.) The result: Budgets then shrink or swell based on performance and the will of THOSE who actually fund the government. If everyone with skin in the game (ie taxpayers) did this, graft and political manipulation would approach zero. Nothing focuses the mind, and improves the IQ more than having one’s own hard work stolen and misused. And nothing would do more to unite Democrats and Republicans than everyone getting the governance they want TO THE EXTENT THEY WERE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. Note: non-contributing citizens and non-citizens ARE NOT allowed in this assignment. Why? Because they get their say when they vote for or lobby their representatives who propose the spending. But if they aren’t actually paying taxes for government services, then they shouldn’t get to fund the government! This is the step change needed in our constitution! And would do a great deal more to secure our God given rights than all the pontificating party politics or all the social media complaining or all the useless dumb ass protesting or all the handwringing by weak powerless citizens. I just looked up the percentage of national registered Republicans that consider themselves Maga. It’s 55% of the total Republican vote. I think we need to agree that almost no Maga Republican is gonna sit out this election. We all remember our rights being taken away during Covid, the farce of the January 6 “insurrection“, and the massive Lawfair and farcical impeachment attacks on President Trump. There’s no way 55% of the Republican vote is gonna forget all of that stuff. All of this is before you get to all the positive improvements in our society and economy. That would all be stymie if the country lets Democrats anywhere near power in Washington this election.

I hear you. But my understanding is that the source of those mailers is unclear. They came from a corporation registered in either Montana or one if the Dakotas and there is no clear identification of who runs the corporation. I think this raises the possibility that it was a Republican supporter using a dirty trick. But it also raises the possibility that it is a Democrat supporter trying to undermine Republicans as dirty tricksters. It could also be an unaffiliated person or group fed up with both parties trying to illustrate exactly what is at stake. SMH that this is what we have devolved to.
Agreed that the source is unclear, and that just makes it worse. Just the fact we received it, though, pissed a lot of people off (at least locally, though I've seen it blasted across the state in various forums, too). If nothing else it helped raise awareness of the issues at stake again, like you said.
Texans are usually more poll aware than other states, at least from what I've seen of past elections. Even during midterms we tend to have higher turnouts. I credit our mentality of personal responsibility for that - we still (to my knowledge) teach that Texas was and can be its own Republic; that instills a level of pride that gets left out of many other states, I think.
The whole "Talarico disappearing" act really didn't help anything, and the narrative has been heavily on the side of Republicans, too. Here's hoping the big cities don't screw us over again, since Houston, Austin, and Dallas tend to be the deciding factors, bless their hearts.
I agree. I did not receive the mailer. My children are long grown. So whoever sent it deliberately targeted minors. Which is the scariest thing of all really. It's like "we know who you are and where you live". Y'all should report this to: 1) law enforcement (just to make a record); 2) the Secretary of State (election division); and 3) the Attorney General's Office (the branch litigating transitioning od children as this is adjacent to that). We switched to Old Glory Bank after all the debanking nonsense, and have been more than satisfied. Their entire foundation is pro-American. They select policy based on protecting us from the corrupt financial institutions, so like the one thing I was bummed about was losing Zelle access/convenience - but the reason they don’t have Zelle is because Zelle refuses to do business with anyone not in the “big club” and only do business with the JP Morgan Chases, BMO, etc., so it’s a Zelle decision and one meant to curb business away from the upright banks. I chose to survive without them. I’d rather support Old Glory Bank than them any day. I love that my bank is this kind of bank.
Also, every single customer service call is answered by a cheery English speaking person who could be my neighbor. It’s always a pleasant discussion and they are more than helpful.

They don’t have to be. They are Oklahoma, and I live near Chicago. Most people manage their accounts online anyway. And their app is as good if not better than the big banks I used to use. And I get better service with one phone call than I ever received in person at a brick and mortar branch
