You know of course that that part of Esther you quote is Mordecai's impressing on Esther to stop being timid and self preserving and speak up as a Jew to save the Jews or she (and her family) might die and some other Jew will have to do the sovereign work of God. It isn't a call for non Jews to stand up (though all good men should stand for what is right). Also, it wasn't a question of freedom v slavery but a question of life v death. Esther sorted it thanks be to God.

Raptor, you are right. I invoked Esther in reference to myself speaking up as an American, German and Jew. The duality that I have a Nazi and Holocaust ancestry could be considered shameful, but I don’t believe in coincidence. I’m the product of a conflict where both sides lost freedoms and I’m proud of my heritage in its entirety

I believe we are a human product of all those who have gone before us in terms of ancestry. There is way more to 'who we are' than just eye color and body type. We carry deep within us, beyond the shallow epidermis, a much deeper tie to the progenitors and also their behaviors and experiences. I do not discount anyone's ability to see more than others in certain areas and take intellect and intuition as an important part of all we carry to get us through the life we have carved out for ourselves "Genetic changes stemming from the trauma suffered by Holocaust survivors are capable of being passed on to their children, the clearest sign yet that one person’s life experience can affect subsequent generations." It sounds as if you have a very interesting heritage, dagney. I do too, and am finding it most helpful to call upon as who I am as these days get crazier and crazier. God is good and we are fearfully and wonderfully made. To WASTE that experience of all who have before us is shameful. Yes, our bodies are awesomely made, but, there is way more to it than that.

I wish all jews in America (and elsewhere) felt as you do about speaking out. NO matter what they think of the current government or Israel, their own people have endured something so terrible it requires an answer. Christians in America seem like they have more love for the Jewish people than Jews do! Pitiful.

Many prominent Jews are self-hating to a genocidal degree. They’ve been persecuted and hated throughout the ages. That has to have an effect. Just part of the complex puzzle that God will bring to completion.

Yes. However, your unique heritage does not confer upon you the moral authority to dictate the validity of others' feelings, reactions, or responses.

I believe that goes without saying 🙏 My only stance is one for Freedom and as such people are free to disagree with me even on that point

Also, what does a nation's people do when it becomes clear the leaders are not in it for them but have it out for them? Like if Esther decided to preserve herself. What should Mordecai then do?

I am going to guess at what the what is.

You live in a nation. Your nation. Imagine this situation and what you might do or think. The people who rule the nation are doing things demonstrably not in the best interest of the people and in fact do things to the people to hurt them or even kill them (possibly knowing) and do not defend the people against attackers with all their might. In other words you, Willing Spirit, find yourself living in a nation with democide on their heart and mind. What does a man like Mordecai (esther's uncle who raised her and loved her) who loves his country and (most of all) loves his people do? What does a woman like Esther who loves her family and loves her people and sees this thing unfolding... what does she do? Does she act? Speak (as Dagny awoke), or remain silent? In the case of the Jews, of course God has a plan and it will not be thwarted. If one man refuses, another will do it.

We see it all around us if we dare look. Jews in particular since Abraham I suspect, have been in the bullseye. You have looked. Otherwise you would not be here on CnC and would have been jabbing yourself to death.
