Otherwise, maybe they see it as a way to “elevate” their personal brand by being associated with world events. And maybe like Joe, they see it as an opportunity to form relationships to assist in funneling money to their preferred companies, and perhaps for personal gain.
Sometimes I’ll bet they just want a tax-payer-funded VACATION so they book international travel to have some fun.
