Amen! I don’t see why so many people are so blind.

I do not really blame Trump for OWS. Many other good people--including good scientists, such as the Great Barrington Declaration authors--were in favor of it. In fact, I heard Jay Bhattacharya make the ridiculous statement that he got COVID but it was a mild case because of the shot. I get very upset with Trump when he still touts the shot, but I don't believe he would ever have mandated it. And that's the most important thing in my mind. If everyone had been free to make the choice of getting vaxxed or not, many people would have chosen not to get it. So Trump was in favor of freedom of choice, and that's more important to me than having been in favor of the shot in the first place.

Finally a sane comment on this. Beyond even that, President Trump played a bad hand as well as he could, and the Deep State wanted to lock us down for good but we had their dastardly plans forced. If you think things were bad, it's nothing compared to what their plan for us was...

I follow Trump closely. The only jab comment I know anything about is when he reacted to what Biden said in the SOTU speech. He was calling Biden out for lying, not pushing the vaccine. Open minded people can see that clearly.

TDS is truly blinding. And how sad you want to vomit on President Trump.

I think that level of hatred may cause serious internal issues for you.

I do get the impression that Trump has a very hard time acknowledging mistakes, and he may still be partially blind to just how bad the jab actually is, because to admit it was bad would make OWS bad, and he's publicly bragged about how good it was and taken the credit for it. People are complicated, and all of us have flaws and errors of some kind. I just pray that he can be humble enough to admit his mistakes, even if only privately.

Sweet Jesus! I don’t get those of you who just want an apology. The left would try to beat him to death with it, but Lord knows, he hasn’t suffered nearly enough yet, so he just needs to show weakness and take the defeat.

TB's avatar

Well, not sure if you meant it that way, but I don't care about a personal apology to me or anyone else (I share the attitude some others posted, of just because he encouraged it is not the same thing as forcing people to take it). I'm just looking from outside and thinking "how do I know that he understood his mistake and won't make a similar mistake in future?".

DJT also bragged about taking Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. So ....was he really a shill for big pharma? Both generics, both highly controversial after he took them.

TB's avatar

Hah - *anything* Trump said or did immediately became "highly controversial" unless it was in line with what the media were pushing. I certainly don't think he was a shill, though I think he was misled by his advisors (and not sure if he's prepared to admit that, though I hope he is).

Sarahanne25- No trump supporter is blind to trumps OWS and patting himself on the back for it. It makes most of us want to vomit. Who would you prefer we get behind? If RFK was an option to anyone he just blew that. So, what good does it do to keep bashing Trump or supporters? Best case scenario….Trump gets RFK into HHS like Neil Kellen suggested and then gets the hell out of the way so RFK jr can take down big Harma and put them all in prison!

I’ve decided. Biden has to be stopped. We will not survive 4 more Biden years so I will be voting for Trump. It has to stop somewhere. We don’t have much time. Bring it on.

You’re wrong when you don’t think people aren’t oblivious to his faults. Why do you think DeSantis had to drop out? Desantis was not only the better candidate, he is a better man.

I’m holding my nose and voting for Trump this upcoming election knowing he will continue to grow the swamp.

Operation warp speed. Fast tracked vaxxes.

I live in Florida. DeSantis is a great governor but lots of reasons why he dropped out. He is owned by rinos on the national stage as proven by his statements and backtracking the next day (s). He looked visibly uncomfortable the whole time. Look up his donors. Plus there’s a bunch of issues in Florida he is either ignoring or purposely not dealing with. Statewide major insurance issues, the disabled community that doesn’t get state services and has a 25,000 person waitlist to even get any help just to name a couple. But he has a great track record with so many other issues too…as governor. He should’ve waited until after Trump to move in for the kill. It’s too bad he jumped the gun.

Doesn’t matter really at this point. You can have your “favorite” just as much as the next person. No candidate is without flaws or blind sides. It’s ok to hold your nose and vote for Trump. The vaxx issue is the monkey on his back that hopefully someday he will have to answer for.

As much as you think supporters are blind to his faults - the same could be said to those who took the vax just because he said to. Shame on anyone who makes a decision just because Trump or another politician or celebrity or athlete says to. Poor decision makers if that’s what sways a person to inject something into their body, really.

If anyone is owned by rinos it’s Trump. Trump started the transgender taking over women’s competitions years ago. Trump appointees are swamp creatures or rinos. Yes, Trump did some good things, but he’s a shallow person that’s great at manipulating others by talking himself up.

Desantis probably saw Trump for what he is -a democrat and not so great guy.

That is the Hobson's Choice, isn't it? We've been voting "lesser of two evils" for so long that two or three terrible choices is all that remain. I had hopes for DeSantis, but apparently, we haven't gone far enough down this rabbit hole for enough people to see that he was the best candidate we've had in decades. So here we are. Screwed no matter what. Hang on folks, the next few years are gonna be rough!

I've been so publicly conservative for so long now, that they probably wouldn't let me anywhere near them, even if I could stomach being around that level of stupid or becoming good at lying. But you do have a point, that we need to take this on from the bottom up - local, city, county and state politics is what counts, from school boards to city councils on up.

I've probably asked for evidence of anything RD has DONE to prove he's a RINO dozens of times, but there's never any offered. He keeps accomplishing everything that Republicans and conservatives SAY they want in FL, but I guess y'all just don't want it badly enough yet.

Who was funding his campaign? What about his stance on Ukraine?

Sweet Mama's avatar

Obviously he didn't have enough funding, if you think that people with deep pockets were funding him.

What about Trump's stance on Ukraine? He said he'd throw more money to them! And RD taking a a disagreeable stance on one issue doesn't prove he's a "RINO". Double standards much? Again, show me anything he's DONE to prove he's trying to please RINOs.

I get a kick out of folks who think DeSantis is a puppet for the establishment or a bitch-boy for Trump.

He was a lowly congressman, who was governor for only one year before he stood up against POTUS, the media, a terrified/cowardly public and the establishment on Covid. Pressure breaks pipes. He didn't crack...Trump did.

He's got some pretty big cojones for being a so called lightweight.

People blather on and on about what various people "really are". I keep watching DeSantis' actions and comparing what he says he believes to what he does as Governor. He's pretty amazingly consistent and he has done one great thing after another. If he's a RINO, he's a very odd one. Actions always speak louder than words, and DS's words match his actions better than any politician I know of. I sure wish he were the Governor of Commiefornia where I live!
