Survivors of the Titanic, floating in the icy Atlantic, were focused on how do we survive this disaster. Not how do we reform the shipping industry.

We are survivors, clinging to life at this point. All that planning for reforms will have to wait until we have been made safe and sound.

We are in great and grave danger at this point in time. A fact lost on many.

Well stated. Not even people who 'know' stuff know how bad things truly are. Given this, I recently was gratified to hear Dr. David Martin to so forcibly hold forth and not only on the Covid Terrorism topic. Martin also recognizes that the present time a is threat existential across the spectrum of all human endeavor.

Is there anymore a 'safe and sound' place of reside given the technological threats hanging over us like a sword ready to descend and destroy at the flick of a kill switch?

That’s why we must humble ourselves and pray and repent of our sins; they are so many. We are freezing in the water with no help in sight (what a great analogy, btw. This is no time to be talking about hot to improve the ship’s design and construction! It’s a little late for that.) The only thing that will save us is an act of God. The only thing that will bring that about is true repentance. There will be consequences no matter which way we choose. But there would be hope.

The most perfect Constitution won’t help if too many will not follow it, and suffer no consequences.

There has to be a spiritual revival.
