I do think DJT needs to be very strategic in what he says so that he can appeal to the many people who voted for Biden previously but who are dissatisfied with Biden enough to consider him now. I'd love it if he could rub their noses in all the lying and deception, but that may not be a good strategy to convince those who have been again…

I'd love it if he could rub their noses in all the lying and deception, but that may not be a good strategy to convince those who have been against him. He has clearly dialed back a lot of his brashness, and that's a good thing for electioneering. When he gets back in the Oval Office, he can then let loose on it all.
I always remember that while Trump had long been a NY society gadfly and welcome in Democrat power circles, he did see the light and wanted to "drain the swamp". He was a newcomer to the dirty political inner workings of the power elite, despite having been among them socially. He went into office not knowing fully who all the bad players were. Fauci, for example. He had been in his position for decades, and in the beginning Trump had no reason to fire him immediately. He just didn't know who he could trust and who he couldn't trust. I read Scott Atlas' book and while Trump listened to this one man, he had a lot of others in supposedly reliable positions of scientific power that he wasn't in a position to immediately dismiss. I don't think any of us would take the word of ONE person against multitudes of others at the beginning of something like covid. None of us started researching covid knowing the extent of it. How could we? And how could Trump? What is now clear is that they lied to him and deceived him and hid things from him even though as President he should have been privy to all information. But he knows NOW. That's the important thing.
Yes CMCM, I pretty much said the same thing here yesterday about being strategic. I sure hope we're right about that. I've never been enthusiastic about any candidate ( always the least crappy one) but here we are again. And I truly think he loves this country and wants to help unlike the commie dems!
