The Constitution and the Separation of Church and State was not meant to restrict the people, it was meant to restrict the government from imposing a religion on the people. More than hang it on a wall, it should be part of the PUBLIC SCHOOL curriculum annually. Child Protective Services in California is in the business taking children from their parents, then putting them up for adoption and sometimes those kids end up on the streets in the sex business—child trafficking by the people that are suppose to protect children. In the summer before my third-grade year, the elementary school caught fire - every child's dream, right? No, they sent us to other community schools, off of base. This school had the Ten Commandments on the wall, we prayed every day before lunch, and the principal read a bible verse every morning during the daily announcements. We also got seconds for lunch, and the black vice principal took 30 minutes out of his day three times a week to work with three of us on advanced math. It was a great school - falling apart, but a great school. The thing I remember most was the prayer and how much those teachers cared about us.

"Mandatory" reporting only works if the reporters experience some penalty for NOT reporting, which they do not.
It's still a judgement call, with the levels of good judgement varying wildly.

Agreed. I am sick of seeing the Judeo part. It is separate from Christianity except for the OT prophesies about the Messiah. And when He came the Jews fully rejected Him and killed Him. Plus they despise Christ with a passion to boot. Don't lump me into anything Judeo. The only covenant now that matters is Christ. Having said that, the 10 Commandments you can never go wrong with.

They represent the basis of the mosaic law, which was fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, it no longer applies to us as followers of Christ as it did to ancient Hebrews. If it did, we would be subject to death for performing any work of any kind on the Sabbath.
This is true. But there is not one commandment that is unreasonable. Even if atheist, it is good to stand by them. I do and I am Christian. Though I admit, I fail every day trying to follow them with rigor. They remind me of the Golden Rule.

The 13 colonies (like 12 & 1/2 tribes) being ruled by a Sovereign God & Judges, the fact that Kings are primarily despots with succession putting people into conflict and turmoil, the fact that families and even individuals are accountable to the Creator even within a greater society and nation called out and designated to be distinct in identity and under Divinely imparted Law, apart from the normal conduct of Nations, religions, governments, etc can be said to be "Judeo". Major Greco-Roman influences are paramount, as is the Protestant Reformation, English Common Law, and the English Revolution. Again a mix of what to watch out for as well as what to cement in as inviolable. "Madison's Republic" as John Turley terms it, is an amalgam of much, built upon a solid foundation of Truth. It was a Christian-Roman founding as much or more than Judeo-Christian. The term comes across as a bit of modernesque, conservative, virtue-signaling to over-simplify it down for us, as the English Colonial Jews of the 1700s would likely NOT have crafted anything like what Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, and the rest constructed for themselves and their posterity.
