On that day, when evening came, He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd, they took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him. And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up. Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and *said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. And He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” — Mark 4:35-41 NASB1995

"Where, oh where, has the ACLU gone? Where, oh where could it be? Is it with Little Bo-Peep’s lost sheep? "

Actually the ACLU used to be against health mandates, acknowledging that sometimes public health concerns could warrant some very limited civil liberty infringements, but requiring them to meet a very high standard of proof threshold. But they really hated health mandates they believed originated from Trump:

What You Need to Know About the Coronavirus Outbreak: A Civil Liberties Perspective

ACLU, January 28, 2020

https://www.aclu.org/news/privacy-technology/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-coronavirus-outbreak-a-civil-liberties-perspective

The ACLU also once opposed censorship and propaganda, especially the type that originated from the DOD. Even if for national security emergencies and threats. Especially for them:

Military May Be Engaged in Illegal Psychological Operations and Propaganda Against U.S. Citizens

March 2, 2001

https://www.aclu.org/news/free-speech/military-may-be-engaged-illegal-psychological

But that was when the ACLU and it's leadership and supporters believed they were on the outside looking in at the system. Now they are on the inside. And busy yanking up the ladders they built to enter the fortress of power so those on the outside now can't climb in behind them.

They opposed mandates even for EBOLA just a few years earlier as well. That's right, EBOLA, the virus that is literally the inspiration for horror movies, and one that quarantines can actually contain. THAT Ebola. And for the far less horrifying Covid, they opposed mandates when Trump supported them, then were silent and even flip-flopped when Trump opposed them, most likely out of spite.

Obama signed something (maybe EO) making propagandizing the American people legal, the rest is history

Expand full comment
Freedom Fox's avatar

It was a bipartisan effort...Rino's + D's. Smith-Mundt Modernization Act, 2012

But it didn't make propagandizing the American people legal. That's just conspiracy theory stuff. They told us so. After they gave themselves permission to lie to us. So of course they're trustworthy:

Facts About Smith-Mundt Modernization

US Agency for Global Media

https://www.usagm.gov/who-we-are/oversight/legislation/smith-mundt-faqs

"The new law will let people across America see and hear the valuable news reported by the Agency’s accomplished journalists. It takes into account modern content platforms that are not restricted by national boundaries, such as the Internet, mobile delivery and satellite broadcasting."

...

"Q. Can the USAGM focus its broadcasting on the United States?

A. No. There has been no change to the Agency’s enabling statute, the U.S. International Broadcasting Act of 1994, which authorizes the agency to create programs for foreign audiences. The Agency is not authorized to begin broadcasting or to create programming for audiences in the United States. We do not seek to change that. USAGM continues to focus on overseas audiences."

...

"Q. Is this an attempt to influence or propagandize US citizens?

A. No. Our journalists must abide by legally mandated broadcasting standards and principles to present accurate and objective news and information. They do so in 63 languages for audiences in more than 100 countries countries where it is often difficult or impossible to receive locally-produced, uncensored or unbiased programs. They provide responsible discussion and open debate in places where it is rare in the media. To call these efforts “propaganda” is an affront to those journalists, many of whom work in some of the roughest spots in the world, putting themselves and their loved ones at great risk.

Q. But won’t the Defense Department now be at liberty to spread propaganda in the United States thanks to this new legislation?

A. No. The U.S. Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 does not apply to the Defense Department, and neither do the subsequent amendments.

Q. What guarantees that content from USAGM is balanced and accurate?

A. USAGM networks are legally mandated to present accurate and objective news and information. The mission statements of our networks reinforce the commitment to high-quality journalism and serving as a model of free press. All of the networks — Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, the Office of Cuba Broadcasting, and the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (Alhurra TV & Radio Sawa) — are considered vital, objective news sources and are frequently cited by major media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Miami Herald, and CNN, for their high-quality reporting. This is testament to the quality and range of reporting that our journalists produce."

See! There it is! Black and white evidence, no propagandizing the American people, that would be illegal!.

--- Say propagandists unburdened by legal restrictions against propagandizing the American people they repealed. As trustworthy stewards of acceptable public information.

Or the woman that bled for 12 years

And a woman who had [suffered from] a hemorrhage for twelve years [and had spent all her money on physicians], and could not be healed by anyone, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His outer robe, and immediately her bleeding stopped. Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” While they all were denying it, Peter [and those who were with him] said, “Master, the people are crowding and pushing against You!” But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, because I was aware that power [to heal] had gone out of Me.” When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came up trembling and fell down before Him. She declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith [your personal trust and confidence in Me] has made you well. Go in peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being).”

Or you need procedure B but have to go through 5 other procedures which won't work first, etc. And, my husband has cancer. Even tho he has experienced side effects that require medications/procedures off label which the oncologist has used thousands of times, they had to write multiple appeal letters to our insurance to get approval. Once they didn't get approval for blood work so the oncologist ate that cost for us and he ended up in the hospital because his blood work wasn't good. Then there are the parents who encourage or even instigate the dysphoria.

Know a preK boy whose parents put pink pants and capped-sleeve tops, hair has never been cut, spray in pink hair coloring. Yet the kid loves cars trucks airplanes and going fast. When teachers start working on him, he might not have a chance.

We had a preK son who liked bright pink as a kid, but it was in a time when men could also wear pink and be secure in their manhood, so that year the whole family wore pink shirts for Easter. He grew out of it in a year or so.

Damar will be back to play as if nothing happened, because he never actually had a medical issue, it was all staged, fake and scripted by the NFL as a practice run. The narrative is, these players who drop don’t have to die, you need to know CPR, and have a good medical staff and a few weeks and you’ll be fine, just like damar. The Bills owner Kim Pegula survived because her daughter had just taken a cpr class. This happened after the release of Died Suddenly and they used it to taunt the conspiracy theorists and prove them wrong over and over. The conspiracy theorists are still confused and don’t know they have been fooled because they can only believe damar was vaccine injured even though he wasn’t.

Fiona, interesting. You are really taking this Psych Ops Level 5 , reverse, reverse, Psychology seriously. I like that. How about the South African Rapper that just convulsed and died on stage similarly to Damar ? But no body contact. markcrispinmiller substack.

Not sure where I stand yet. But I will figure it out. Do we still see the Bills owner or is she partly brain dead from the lack of oxygen when the heart stops? Delayed CPR is rarely as good as the real thing. The IQ test will be lowered no doubt. Brain damaged people still walk around and with the FB players ...well who will know the difference ? I have them in my family.

For me, it was my own deductive reasoning that I also reached this conclusion. It was getting pretty suspicious that NO American NFL athletes were falling out and dying like was happening elsewhere all over the world. As far as that Sunday, why would the ambulance containing Damar, wait 9 min for Damar's mother to walk down from the stands so she could ride with him? What's with the GENERIC ambulance (no logos) with an obese ambulance driver? Why were there 5 black SUVs at the hospital? The Twitter docs immediately declared the ultra-rare "Commotio cordis" although that happens in under 20 (avg 15 yo) when hit 90° in the chest by a baseball, not in a 24 yr old covered in football pads with a shoulder hit (that hit wasn't that hard). With commotio cordis you go down immediately after the hit, you don't get hit, stand up and then go down. The staged heart-hands hospital pic (several nurses pointed out non-standard stuff, like unplugged machines, etc) with his mom and uncle, everyone all masked up with several of his #3 jersey placed everywhere. Then, his "comeback" where the ENTIRE stadium was "❤️WE LOVE YOU DAMAR❤️👏👏"! It was all WAY to over the top.

I heard this man talking about his cancer returning after a several year remission. He'd been vaxed/boosted but had just heard about the vax causing "turbo cancer" so he asked his oncologist at MD Anderson. His oncologist just kinda hymed and hawed. He said, Well, you should know if there's an increase in your patients that have been vaccinated? Finally, the doc said, "Look, I'm a consultant for Pfizer, that's not something we talk about". Another guy goes, "So what are you going to do? You know they're lying to you, now". The first man says "I'll keep going. What am I supposed to do? They're the best cancer doctors in the country." 😦😦😦

“it has been widely criticized — mostly by hypocritical democrats, who created, cheered-on, and enforced the interment order.”

So typical. Same with the Covid restrictions. They cheered on those restrictions and vilified people who didn’t support them. But when it turned out small businesses like their favorite restaurants were closed and children fell behind in school and had mental issues due to the lockdowns, they stood wringing their hands and moaning about it as if they had no responsibility whatsoever 😡

Unanswered questions: Paul Pelosi? Whatever happened to that story? 🤔

Hochul is just awful and truly evil, I like your suggested modification to the bill Jeff 😆This all has to be stopped!!

The Trump story is infuriating, they are turning themselves and the laws into pretzels to find any excuse to “get” him. I’m not sure there is a real strategy beyond “neutralize Trump any way you can.” I think it will eventually backfire though.

Kudos to the reporter pushing Biden with real questions, a foreign reporter was also one who told Karine Jean-Pierre she was incompetent 😆 The only US reporter with any decent questions is Peter Doocy. Biden and his whole family are so corrupt, it is sickening!!

What DeSantis is doing in FL is a great first step. He is making any employer who covers sex reassignment treatment & surgery responsible for any detransitioning treatment once the patient figures out how wrong they were - forever - whether that person is still employed by the company or not. Forever responsible. Forever on the hook. And their family members that were covered at the time and transitioned and detransitioned. The kids.

I am grateful for DeSantis and I am glad he is our gov. However, he knows what is going on with Cvd and the CDC protocols for treatment. He know they are deadly yet they continue and immunity protection is still in place. He knows therapeutics work yet there is no effort to widely promote. Ban the jab resolutions are poring in to Tallahassee and the public hears crickets. Pfizer knew, CDC knew, FDA knew well before roll out of deadly consequences and yet they rolled out anyway. We have 2 years of horrifying data that gets ignored. And the jabs continue.

Honestly, I don’t know what DeSantis knows. He doesn’t seem like the sharpest tool in the shed to me. But he wants to be president and the Globalist GOPe has supplied him with thinking heads to come up with what he needs to say and do. Sound tough, the country’s mood is for a move to the right. Doesn’t mean an actual change. Just talk the talk.

Maybe just slow the insanity down a bit, while the public adjusts to new standards.

DeSantis has said nothing about the diabolical arrest plans for President Trump. Silence, like after the FBI raid.

The big time thinking heads might better consider how that looks to MAGA members. DeSantis is about to become toxic.

That thread begins with Planned Parenthood getting legislators and judges to rule that minors can give adult consent for serious, significant life changing medical procedures (which were downplayed as blob tissue removals).

Before that there was nothing.

The snowball started rolling against parents and families from then on.

Extricating children from adult decisions is the silver bullet.

I am happy to see someone else point out the philosophical "issues" with the left/liberals saying someone is "trapped" in the wrong body. This basically means that left/liberals are arguing for ensoulment...which is 100% at odds with their scientistic, mechanistic worldview, most especially regarding abortion. It's a major contradiction that completely undermines their views on one issue, or the other, or both. You can't be a purely physical thinking machine, or an unconscious purely physical consumption machine, or just a glob of cytoplasm if you are in fact a disembodied - and gendered - soul. Even more than that, for the person to be "born into the wrong body," the soul that is that person would have to be gendered prior to birth.

I think the tragic paradoxical thinking is that a lot of these young people talk about being able to finally accept who they are...by changing their bodies! These are kids, many of whom, have been raised on the fantasy of being someone completely different than their physical self. If there are gamers, look to Sword Art Online, or Ready Player One kind of pop media. It is a dream to escape the difficult real world and live in a better world, where one is more competent, where their being is more meaningful. I think the idea of being able to alter your body is a lot more credible to a young person. They haven't seen so much plastic surgery gone bad. They haven't even properly been through the trials of life to see how you must reconcile yourself to a life that is not a boundless opportunity to Live Your Dream, Follow Your Bliss, and all of the platitudes that make you figure that if you aren't there already, then there must be something wrong with you, and much better that it be something that you can just excise and play-do into what it should be. All you need to do is become your own god and choose your own self-creation. I think us older people find it to be common sense that you don't really get to change your body, that you were born with some unchangeable features, and that the struggle of understanding and accepting who you are is pretty much what we all need to go through. And, many are under the illusion that philosophy, and even theology, are apart from what is happening here. And so, you get material illusion solutions which just don't deal with the great and worthy problem that will be so very meaningful to address properly. I've heard the common myth spoken: "my brain is of the other gender; I was born this way." There is so much attachment to the physical storyline, but then there is the question of destiny, of even teleology, for your physical to bear meaning which is what really yearns to be wrestled with. I think we all need a physical HUG. I went on a FB group yesterday for trans, and people were networking to get appointments for psych evals which were guaranteed to last under 30 minutes, with affirmative professionals offering slots this very evening. Is there anyone along the way capable to speak to what this is really about, with this young people who are trying so hard and suffering?
