I agree that coercion is NOT force. It’s uncomfortable and sometimes destructive but saying coercion is force is like saying “silence is violence” - it’s just not. Violence is violence. We have many military friends and friends who work at major corporations that “forced” the shots. Out of the many, about seven refused the shots. Even in the military. Just two examples: one retired early (under threat of losing his 20 yr pension and every bit of his spotless military record but ultimately they caved and he kept it all), another got put in the advancement dog house for a year (he had to report every morning but then got paid to go home all day where he did woodworking projects and enjoyed his family). These men got threatened with court martial and dishonorable discharge and were regularly berated and rebuked for non-compliance, as well as isolated and kept from their families and coworkers due to their choice. Others didn’t want to put up with that abuse. But that coercion still wasn’t force. Everyone still has a choice. Some people were just more willing to go to put it ALL on the line. People need to look at those who DID and consider how to grow their mental, emotional and physical strength so that they are prepared to do the same next time.

Maybe start to see the label racist as a badge of honor when it is earned by being honest, astute, and doing the right thing. I’ve been accused of being bigoted or racist a lot in my life for just pointing out obvious truths. The only thing I did wrong was threaten the agenda of others and so they HAD to shut me down. No quicker way to do that than public humiliation and shaming by lying about someone’s character. It’s called silencing the opposition. Calling you a racist is an attempt to silence you. Don’t comply!

I get accused of being a radical conspiracy theorist these days too. So I made myself a tinfoil tiara that I sometimes don during my day to remind myself how funny this all is, and that I should be proud that I have not abandoned my critical thinking skills.

Expand full comment

Court jesters were actually very valuable. They were the means by which the king would hear truthful, unpleasant or bad news. Their role was, partially, to speak truth to power without getting their heads chopped off! So instead of saying "You're daughter is the town whore." They'd say "Me thinks the kings chef needs a bigger bun oven." or similar...

I'd put actors a step or two below court jesters.

Right you are. Actors were about the bottom of the social order in medieval times. If you want to read a fine funny book featuring a court Jester, Pocket, get Christopher Moore's "The Serpent of Venice". It's a hoot, as are all of his books. One of the best satirists around. One of my favorites, like Tom Dorsey and his Serge Storm character, and before he revealed his full blown TDS, Carl Hiassen. Both of the latter site all of their books in Florida, and Dorsey always provides a lot of good accurate historical information about Florida.

Back in the 80’s we used to say the rock and roll musicians sold their souls to the devil. People thought we were nuts. Well well well it seems we were right after all. Big surprise. I think most sold their souls for fame and fortune, and there is no taking that back without miraculous intervention and free will which all require humility and repentance that most won’t choose. I think there’s a remnant that actually got in by miraculous means who hold true to their faith and knowledge of right and wrong who are and have been getting squeezed out. And then there’s the ones probably at the top who are probably fully demonically possessed and just fine with their choice. We battle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in high places. It’s been going on longer than most ever realized.

Forget the knife, and clean up your character and your spirit first, then your physical appearance will most definitely improve. No matter how bad it is, it CAN improve naturally. Avoid hatefulness and selfish living, embrace a humble and generous spirit, stay out of other people’s business, refuse to try to control others or their perspectives, or situations, and you WILL have less wrinkles and a younger look. Do you have a K-12 child? Please read and take action by becoming a member (free membership) of Moms for Liberty before July 15. Any one parent’s membership exempts that child’s entire school from the coming legislation which goes into effect on August 01, 2024.

DEADLINE APPROACHING: only 4 days left!

If you have a child in a K-12 school which receives federal funding, effective Aug 01 big changes are coming to your school. The Biden Administration has redefined “sex” in Title IX which will (among other things, read more) allow boys in girls (and v/v) bathrooms/locker rooms/hotel rooms on overnight trips; removes free speech – if your child is uncomfortable with a child of the opposite sex in these private spaces and speaks up they could be susceptible to a sexual harassment suit; see more at link below.

Moms for Liberty successfully halted the Biden Administration's dangerous Title IX rewrite in court, which would have forced schools to allow boys in girls locker rooms and (possibly) allow them to compete in women's sports. The judge ruled the Title IX rewrite cannot be enforced at schools that the members of Moms for Liberty's children attend, meaning IF you become a member your child's school is covered.

Join as a member for FREE ASAP to protect your children. The judge's deadline is July 15, so act fast! https://portal.momsforliberty.org/memberships/applications/membership-application/

Yes! I'm in Milwaukee but my kids attend a private school.

You might check with the school to see if they accept federal funding. If they get even $1.00 they are beholden to comply with Title IX. If not, then your school won't be affected by the latest ruling/Title IX.

This sounds like the biggest bunch of BS. How can a court order be dependent upon parents being/becoming members of a politically oriented group?

So if a particular school doesn’t have any Moms for Liberty parents they can go ahead with the Title IX rewrite? Was it halted or not? Just for certain people and certain schools? Who is making these flimsy rulings? Or is this even true??

Moms for Liberty was part of a lawsuit against the Biden order changing the definition of "sex." Title IX was originally (in the 1970s) enacted to protect against discrimination against women. Eg. Schools couldn't have just a boy's soccer team, but had to now offer girls the same option. Eff. Aug. 01 "sex" will be redefined such that boys identifying as girls, transgenders, etc. are included. Moms for Liberty (along with a few states) won an injunction to hold off on implementing the Aug 01 effective date, so any members of MFL and the school they attend are exempt for the time being. The link in the original post leads to more info on the lawsuit and the injunction. Also check out MfL Facebook site or just search the internet for "Title IX" + "Moms for Liberty" for more info.

Thank you Peace. I was aware of Title 9 and how the Brandon administration was trying to bastardize it, and that MFL put a stop to it. I just wasn’t aware of these ridiculous conditions or that the fight wasn’t over. Sounds like only a temporary injunction by and for the MFL plaintiffs. It’s almost like a time out so the courts can more thoroughly consider what a girl or woman is. 🙄

Sounds about right! MfL joined in with about four states and another group (similar to MfL). All of the schools in those four states plus the groups have been temporarily exempted.

They are trying to give as narrow of rulings as possible rather than weigh in on these issues in a big way

I quickly read it but I’m unclear what the action requested is?

Expand full comment
Peace's avatar

Action would be for a parent (of any child in a K-12) to follow the link to become a member (free membership) of Moms for Liberty. Once any one parent of a school is a member, then the entire school is exempt from enacting the changes coming Aug 01. MUST become a member before July 15, 2024.

Opposite the vapid George Clooney & Hollywood, if you are looking for an inspiring way to spend two hours, consider watching Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. Angel Studios brought us Sound of Freedom last July, this summer we can be equally inspired & united by the families of Possum Trot, TX.

The movie opened nationwide on July 4th, has a current viewer score of 97%, and features yet another stellar ensemble cast with performances that will leave you wishing you hadn’t forgotten the Kleenex you told yourself to bring. We watched it last night & whole heartedly recommend…https://www.angel.com/tickets/sound-of-hope-the-story-of-possum-trot.

Be on the lookout for the upcoming release of “Reagan” as well. Was fortunate to see an advance screening last month (and that’s all I can say about it), and I promise all true Americans will enjoy it, especially those of us old enough to have voted for and lived during his two terms. I hope it will in some way translate into enthusiasm to vote for conservatives this November.
