Trump ends the Iran war and launches a military operation in the same week; Democrats march with actual communists; the NYT discovers virtue; a Taco Bell 'hero' defends the soda line; more.
We need some good news! My traditional Lutheran church has seen an upsurge in not only marriages, but baptisms! We are now averaging a couple a month. For a small country church that is so encouraging. I also witnessed young men, (likely in their early twenties), going to communion. This was several, also never seen pre-covid. I prayed for a revival and this makes my heart happy.
We truly rejoice at this news! Our LCMS (the conservative) Lutheran church is also seeing more young families with children. Youth of any age makes our hearts glad. β€οΈ
Hi Freebird! Also LCMS Christian (St Louis area) here getting her daily dose of Coffee and Covid! Many young children in our congregation too. Having a school helps!
Tears of joy are running down my face!! This confirms what was prophesied to our church earlier this year. Holy Spirit said that we would see the greatest Awakening and Revival that the world has ever seen. God's Glory would be seen in greater and greater levels in all the Nations, this year will be EPIC!! Praise God, He keeps His promises! Thank you for sharing this, SD! β₯
God is so great and mighty yet he turns his glorious, holy face toward us and gives us unfathomable love, redemption, mercy, and grace. Praise be to God our Father, Jesus our salvation, and our ever present Holy Spirit!
Praise arises from humility and humility from our sin nature and need for forgiveness. Jesusβ sacrifice was not required of Him, it was a gift. I praise the One Who has saved me from the pit.
May God have mercy on your soul. If you only would open the Bible and read from Romans 8 you would understand how much God loves you. You would learn freedom from all of your bitterness, anger, and hatred that eats away at your soul. There is only love to be found in the Light of God.
The Lord is the source of righteousness and His Law is our standard of righteousness. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our example who perfectly fulfilled the Law.
I have no idea what to think of that person. My inner alarm bells go off like crazy at the sight and sound of her. I have no idea what is going on there so I stay away
Jeff is wayyyy too preoccupied with Chalupas and such, Iβm dying laughing that a Taco Bell was in the news. π€£ They really gave him a soft pitch. Lol
McDonaldβs is reportedly going to follow Chick-fil-A and start only offering sodas at the counter and removing auto-fill stations. Taco Bell might take note.
Also, I wonder what Jeff would have to say about another Occupy Wall Street protest. Iβm a lifelong conservative GOP voter and had sympathy for that movement. In the wake of β08 crash, only those taking loans were punished, but never anyone from the banker class who enabled them. Both Bush and Obama gave these elites a free pass. The Uniparty lives on and we get Distractions instead (race, trans, climate, communists, etc) to keep us Occupied with something else.
The young are going to embrace Socialism because the perversion of free market capitalism no longer gives them a path to home ownership at a pre 40 age. And when people donβt feel ownership, then βtear it downβ chaos can ensue. Our system needs to fix this core / primary concern or our coming generations are going to descend into the unknown.
βItβs the economy, stupidβ a guy once said π€·π»ββοΈ
Well thatβs exactly what Trump is trying to do but with the RINOs blocking him and the Dems defaming him, he canβt get it done easily. But he sure is trying.
Can you imagine how miraculous it would be if Trump had the support and cooperation of both sides?
This problem is also exactly the one Tucker Carlson is highlighting. But nobody can hear it due to him being cancelled over his views on Iran war (which I disagree with him on).
Tucker is also talking about virtue of halting immigration (to help w/ American citizenship home ownership), wrongheadedness of continuing to issue H1B visas, and how our Uniparty class isnβt prepared for potential unemployment of many due to coming AI.
Neither is running up the national debt to over 100% of GDP, where it now sits. Highest level vs. GDP since WW2. This results in fiat currency depreciation and structural inflationary pressure. I.e. when debt is high, government borrowing competes with private investment, leading to higher interest rates. Crowding out like this reduces productivity growth, which can worsen inflationary pressure, over time. And weβve been in this zone since US national debt was 85% ratio to GDP back in 2010-2011. The Uniparty is incapable of reigning in spending in any meaningful way.
But, you never truly own your home as you are held hostage as a perpetual renter due to property taxes. When they can take your paid for home because taxes canβt be paid, you have a real problem. Too much taxation everywhere.
Thatβs a somewhat weak rebuttal, for most home owners, IMO. Unless you havenβt saved much, most can manage property taxes. Suggest people think long and hard about where they retire, and how the local taxation winds are blowing. That said, some blue zone property taxes have really increased rapidly. Mine have for sure, in my purple locality, in a deep blue state. Iβm unsure if Iβll retire here. Some HOA fees have also really spiked too, which can be subject to whims of that particular board.
Totally hilarious, but i can't help but think back to the late 70's and 80's when, shockingly enough, we could hang out with friends and somehow wait three hours for our favorite song to play on the radio just so we could record it on a blank cassette....and not kill each other.
I just replaced my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a *newer* 99 Dodge Dakota. Oddly, the Jeep had a CD player in the dash (non-functional, unfortunately), but the Dakota has a cassette player! So I'm digging out my old box of mix tapes from the garage and listening to them for the first time in 30 years!
Or a "Kill All Joy Of Driving Switch". I swear these technocrats want to wring all the joy out of living. I keep wondering when they're going to try to take my motorcycle away from me. That will become a 2nd-Amendment issue...
I am in southern Canada. Worse than Toronto, but not as bad as the Yukon. Seven months of winter annually. If we are lucky, the ground will start thawing by the end of May. Don't put your parka away too soon.
Well, the door seals on the Jeep started leaking, unfortunately, which then corrupted some of the wiring, which has made the electrical system totally unreliable. The engine still runs! Going to donate it.
The truck is in great shape - one owner. He was a smoker, so when I got it I replaced the seats and the carpeting and headliner. It's my first 4-wheel drive and first V-8!
I understand Ryan:Class of '69 with radio my main source of tunes and daylight only radio station with 1 hour of pop tunes. Had to listen to KCPX 1320 Salt Lake City, or KXLF 1370 Butte, Montana.
I'm glad to know I was not the only one laughing at this Taco Bell enforcer story. I laughed so hard I was crying but kept telling myself I must be a degenerate to think it was funny. It has some serious societal implications that are not funny at all. Yet, being the reprobate I obviously am, I laughed myself silly and I don't even like chalupas. Oh what a deranged person I am.
I was holding it together, albeit barely, until I got to the suspect's name. At that point I had to put the phone down and go outside for some fresh air and deep breaths.
βUnauthorized soda acquisitionβ π Outstandingly funny way to kick off a Monday morning! Mr Jeff is giving my other favorite Florida Substack writer, Dave Barry, a run for his money today. I bet Mr Barry will be disappointed that he didnβt get to write this story first. Also, βVirtue Signalsβ might be a good name for a band, but not one that Iβd listen to.
So at the rush of someone here being able to identify me by this confession... To the embarrassment of a dear younger friend, I ordered water and after it was full, using the small push lever vs the big one for the fizzy sugar, and being elderly but young looking π I got the push levers mixed up and ran both water and pop over my cup and even onto the floor before it stopped and Idk how. Who thought having a water and soda coming out that save SELF SERVE tap was a money saving idea???!!! Thankfully no one was also shooting at me maybe that makes it worse?
I was laughing out loud and rooting for Patterson. Imagining those women running scared was funny. Maybe they will think twice before doing that again. So yeah, firing a gun was overboard and wrong, but when I see people doing this I always think βhow cheap are youβ. It was hilarious.
I am very sympathetic to him. Of course, I would not have advocated for his chosen course of action and deeply wish heβd called the police and had her trespassed, but I completely understand his disgust at that womanβs behavior.
'Patterson pistol-whipped one of the women, accidentally discharging his firearm. One womanβs eyebrow was grazed.'
Is this an example of how everything these days is exaggerated? It's hard to imagine a "pistol whipping" that results in a *grazed eyebrow*.
Of course the employee overreacted. However, I do have a hard time imagining why a patron who asked for a water cup and then proceeded to fill it with Mountain Dew would have the gall to argue back when challenged. Maybe it was the last straw for poor DβMari JyβQuan Patterson, having watched any number of patrons abuse their water privileges.
Of course he is being charged, as is only right. I just hope that patron is also being charged for shoplifting or whatever.
Let's not forget, these are the same people who supported taking out Brett Kavanaugh, fire-bombing Teslas, BLM riots that burned down entire city blocks, and Antifa laying siege to courthouses, and when Luig Mangione murdered a healthcare CEO in cold blood, leftists immediately fell in love.
I can't stand these people but I also feel sorry for them. Imagine spending your entire life talking about and protesting a fake problem.
The easiest population to recruit are those with high "empathy", low emotional stability, high victim identity, high support for silencing others.
I can guarantee you that perfectly describes these morons.
Liberalism is a mental disorder that causes only white people to look in the mirror and think "the world needs a lot less of me"
The good news is we win by attrition. These people hate people that have the very children they are supposed to educate because they don't have children of their own.
Communism is the only ideology that must pretend to be something else in order to survive.
now it is becoming clear the the entire democrat party is built upon a sand castle of fraud and it is coming down - from Act Blue, to USAID an other NGOs that get their money from the government to recycle to democrats, to massive fraud in virtually every government program, to voter fraud & cheating on elections (Buyden got 81 million votes -right) , and now to the birthright citizenship and unconstitutional gerrymandered districts, to now embracing communism - yes the democrat party will either dissolve or split - couldn't happen to a nicer bunch
Itβs been a long while since Iβve been as disenchanted with anyone as much as Iβve been with Tucker. He is truly a destructive force now and I hope his followers have dropped off in droves. What happened to him? I didnβt change, he did, or was he lying all along?
Remember when Tucker wore a bow tie and worked for a progressive tv station? I do. I did like him when he came over to Fox but I scratch my head now at what comes out of his pie hole.
You should go watch Tuckerβs latest interview with The New York Times. Outside of his opinion on the Iran conflict, thereβs not much else I disagree with him on, and not too many others speaking what heβs speaking. The man is concerned with future generations succeeding in America and is a sort of siren of the right on this subject, in the chaos we call social media.
Often when anyoneβs personality changes so dramatically the expert recommendation is a medical checkup. Could be - but anytime Tucker gets a hint of our involvement in war he goes completely isolationist; not bothering losing any critical thinking skills he may have had. In addition heβs become quite the manipulative liar. I once was his biggest fan, but since Charlie Kirkβs assassination heβs gone left, repeating leftist propaganda. Once you know theyβve lied to you, move on.
Just because you donβt agree with Tucker about Iran war doesnβt mean heβs incorrect on all other subjects and in need of medical help. Holding 2 opposing thoughts in oneβs head at the same time is hard for most all posters on this substack when it comes to Tucker Carlson. Itβs a sign of an uncritical thinker, IMO.
Is there anything you agree with Tucker on? Or because he opposes Netanyahu, AIPAC influence on our politics and the Iran war, he needs to be committed to the psych ward?
Iβve enjoyed many of his past good interviews. But heβs not the same person imo. In an interview he questions whether Trump is the Antichrist. In another he says both that Israel controls Trump and also that Trump casts a spell on people so he can control them. Which one is it? I have no problem with disagreement on the war or any other policy. But Tucker is a liar.
I think TC got a glimpse of Israelβs influence on US policy when Ted Cruz called him an anti-semite during the interviewβTucker was asking questions Ted Cruz did not like, (AIPAC money). That exchange drove Tucker toward more exploration/research and he gave voice to what he discovered.
I think itβs the other way around. Tucker knew going into the interview that Cruz wore a NASCAR jacket with only one patch all over it: AIPAC. And questioned Tedβs loyalty to the American 1st project. One thing for sure that came out of that interview, and itβs that Ted Cruz will never occupy the White House nor a seat on SCOTUS. Too much Netanyahu in Tedβs bloodstream now. Ted has reached his peak.
I am SHOCKED that Tucker is questioning the Iran debacle and the C0vid vaxxine deaths on air.
The Conspiracy Community has a sure fire way to tell if a large-audience channel is a Cabal plant, if they are NOT talking about C0vid vaxxine deaths and fake shootings. I ALWAYS thought Tucker was a wholly owned Cabal plant.
Iβm not shocked at all. Donald Trump literally campaigned on no new wars. That you donβt recognize this is whatβs shocking. I agree with Trumpβs actions in Iran. But I also understand Tucker (and others) objections. They feel lied to. If you canβt see that then you were not paying the same attention that Tucker (and others) were to DJT campaign promises.
I think you misunderstood my comment Matt. I'm not surprised that Tucker is questioning the Iran debacle, I am surprised that he is questioning it, and the C0vid vaxxine deaths...on air.
There is a Trump media censorship blackout on the words 'C0vid vaxxine deaths' and Tucker is treading a slippery slope by OPENLY challenging the government narrative. That's what I'm shocked by about Tucker.
As far as Trump's bogus campaign promises, I'm 73 and I learned a long time ago that in America the politician's job is NOT to change The System, but simply to make enough voters think that he will.
βThe increasing willingness of mainstream Democrats to align with extremist socialist groups is a major factor in why the Democratic Party is losing the center more and more, and why so many lifelong Democrats find themselves feeling politically homeless.β In a nutshell: A vote for democrats is a vote for communism!
Now apply that statement and compare it to the Biden Administration's 4 years of Anti-America. And take it one step further and think where we would be today if President Trump had not been elected (which still amazes me when considering Mr. Dominion & all of his friends). You know as well as I do that it would NOT be a pretty picture had Comrade Kamala & Dufus successfully stolen the show. Which brings me to the final point.
If we don't get out an vote ENMASS and allow the communists to once again gain a foothold - we are DONE as a Constitutional Republic - forever. Trump is making wonderful changes that strengthen America and HELP The People, all of them. So, don't let the knuckleheads tell you any different. Vote Conservative. MAGA!
Please vote for our Lt Governor Jay Collins on August 18th for the next Governor! I like Byron Donalds but the leftist Jolly could be the next Governor if the GOP puts him on the ballot in November!
This is due to Byron's criminal convictions that the left will use to turn people off voting for him!
So VOTE FOR JAY COLLINS, a former green beret with a Purple Heart and prosthetic leg from service connected amputation!
Watch this for actual clips of Byron discussing his "mistakes" in his youth. If you don't think the left will use this info to get their man elected, you haven't learned anything!
Is that intended or supposed to be a sympathy vote?
Any time there is a campaigning comment such as this, it needs to have reasons why that candidate is worth even considering. Sympathy alone won't qualify.
And yes, exactly what criminal convictions was Byron supposedly guilty of?
And don't even think about trying to throw that burden of proof on me since it's your campaign and your candidate that you are campaigning for.
I'm not trying to campaign or throw anyone under the bus. I care about Florida and wish to see Ron Desantis' legacy carried on.
Watch this video and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Byron admits to having sold drugs at one point in his life. Sure, he's great now but don't think the left won't use this info to smear him to the low information voters in November! We can't allow the Dem to win!
He was left with a budget disaster from the immigrant costs of the previous Dems.
He won with the young vote because of the genocide in Gaza. He seems less controlled by Wall St. He is leaning on the super rich to support services. No way they will leave.
Leftist brains are still convinced that the only way to "progress" in the 21st Century is with a utopian ideology from the 19th Century that was resoundingly disproven in the 20th Century.
There is no limiting principle with progressivism. There is "no that'll never happen". It's a relentless one-way ratchet and every win they achieve is just a stepping stone to their next objective, over and over again, forever.
Ten years ago the DSA was a radical fringe that nobody really thought would achieve major power. Now the entire Democrat party is realigning themselves around it.
Socialism is a paradox:
Socialism requires that the poor exist. They promise to help them. But if they truly help them, they would stop being poor.
And without the poor, Socialism is n no longer "needed".
Yes. And itβs been famously said, you can vote your way into socialism, but youβll have to shoot your way out. And, elections have consequences, but bad ideas have victims. My self-designed bumper sticker says βSocialism fails every time itβs triedβ¦ the only difference is the body count.β
Socialism didnβt work in New Testament early church and it wonβt work now. Never has worked. Never will work. How did we make it 250 years? Hello!!!
It didnβt work for the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony either β perhaps the first βAmericansβ β as Rush reminded us each year in reading the true story of the first Thanksgiving. Collectivism goes against Godβs design and the value of each individual (made in His image), which may be the most complete reason it will never work.
THINK LIKE A MARXIST; ALL Socialist, Progressivist, do-gooder Liberalist, and even the "No Kings!" Founders-Constitutionalists of USA have their place on the gradient of the Inevitable Fated scale of History, Economics, and Human "advancement" unto Communism. Intellectual Conspiracy Kook, occultist, and God & king hating, deadbeat- entitled, shirker-class Karl was anxious to defeat the compromisers and half-hearted Socialists of all stripes and hastily unify it all under a One World Global Revolution. It is a CULT, a Disease, but in truth, it is driven and there is no line in the sand or half measure that will ever restrain its push to parasitic-evil, One World, AntiChrist supremacy. Much like the "out of the closet gays" that then pushed for "marriage" that then pushes for Tranz and even more depraved sex with abuse, porno, prostitution, enslavement, and far worse behaviors based on mental "illness" and insanity based upon wickedness. There's no genuine compromise or boundaries that these sick manifestations won't cross or seek to fundamentally transform. Opponents of this are varied and diverse, and even INCLUDE Billionaires, Corporations, and Oligarchs, but these naturally work, mostly independently (while infiltrated) to counter the Leftist-Occultic-Elitist Commie-ish conspiracy coalition for full dominance. This is the Trumpian Reset-a coalition that was assembled ahead of 2015 with the selfish but benevolent aim to derail the DeepState Globalist Socialist-Commies. Now we're just seeing some of the counterattack mobilization of the Authoritarianists.
"Leftist brains are still convinced that the only way to "progress" in the 21st Century is with a utopian ideology from the 19th Century that was resoundingly disproven in the 20th Century."
I'm stealing that quote... Just thought I'd let you know..!
Bingo. Jeff C "turns out that Americaβs founders actually believed that a republic requires virtuous citizens."
In answering the question, " Does Power Corrupt? " which to my own suprise I argued against , we find that happiness is downstream of virtue.
For a simple yet profound understanding of why the US system us the best system, and why Tyranny ever fails, consider to read and share with any youth that respect you...
Some mainstream Christians allege that a globally Raptured Church (some 1 billion souls? in the near future) would immediately cause global, economic, and societal disintegration with no curtailment of crime, perversion, and selfism. The ONLY response could be external Force and Authoritarianism, as moderates, secular humanists, Sufis, pietist nominal christians, and religious-moralists will be overwhelmed and unable to curb unrestrained appetites for tyranny and oppression except WITH a fake-Christ figure who promises much and utilizes a lethal rod of iron to make Warlord-tribalism and fractured mankind heel.
I think the syndrome has maxed out, it is not calling many new members β¦ that first wave was its only wave β¦ that plus perhaps a trickle constitute its following.
Well, since having been introduced to the extremist world of religious fundamentalism on this Substack, I would say that the TDS/WOKE-folk are similar in extremism to the far-rightwing religious groups. Neither extreme is a good place to be.
Something else they have in common is that people at both extremes believe they they are hyper-GOOD. That is how each side sees themselves -- as very righteous.
Instead of just throwing the charge out there without a shred of evidence, how about proving your theory that "far right wing religious groups are extreme" Please explain to me how valuing the life of unborn innocents is extreme and evil, or upholding the ten commandments as a good model for how to lead a good life is extreme and evil, or committing to a monogamous relationship for life and growing, healthy, happy children (who understand there are only two genders, male and female, dont want to lop off their genitals to please some deeply ill/evil schemers to destroy humanity and also don't expect "the collective" to support them) into good adults who can successfully function in society, instead of blaming society for their problems is extreme and bad. The "woke folks" are diametrically opposed to functioning society built on functioning families.
But I ask you, please tell me what is extreme or wrong about "far right wing religious groups". Where are they wrong, what are they doing which is so horrible? Are you conflating Muslim religious extremism with the Christian "extremism" I've laid out above?
Only someone suffering from TDS and being "woke" could compare the two and find them comparable.
And don't forget the contrast between left and right in gun violence. I can't remember the last time a bonafied conservative Christian has shot anybody up, vs the constant reports of leftists doing it.
If you knew about the Christian faith, youβd understand that most have recognized their sinful nature, have been horrified by this realization and have received salvation and a solution to their dilemma before a Righteous God in the person of a living Jesus Christ. It is simple enough, the first step is to admit your propensity for evil (before God).
Im a practicing Christian, I understand the faith well, confess my sins if I commit one, strive to do better, have done better over the course of my life. to say I am sinful by nature is complete bullshit - to say I have the ability to choose between right and wrong is far more accurate.
What is your point and what does it have to do with "A"s stupendously ridiculous comparison of left work dehumanization extremism vs "far right Christian extremism" post?
"A" said religious fundamentalists are the extremist far right without taking even a second to define what exactly a religious right wing fundamentalist is. So, I defined religious fundamentalist for it, him, her, they, xi, dolphin person, etc.
I've been told that being pro-life is a far right fundamentalist position as an example.
βFar right extremismβ is only a call for the values that grew us to a point of prosperity where we could afford to dalliance into extreme left nonsense. βFar rightβ is not far at all. It is certainly not βextremeβ. It is only an acknowledgement of biological reality and alliance with the social sciences before they were used to call for the murder of unhappy people or people (babies) with the potential to be unhappy. The label βfar right extremismβ is only an offense-is-best-defense weapon rolled out by the left which is calling for unheard of things outside the history of fascist regimes. βSomewhere in the middleβ is the smug language of a person who lacks traditional values and also the courage to go outright insane with the left.
I disagree, BT. I grew up in moderate, balanced Christianity and civil society. In Canada, actually. As a traditional Catholic.
We were exceedingly civil and polite. We were very well-educated in the traditional manner. It was not until the Troodo horror hit this country that anything changed from this approach.
Canada has few religious fundamentalists in the "Christian" vein. I only encounter them in the U.S.
On this Substack forum they are rampant. And their odd behaviour has nothing to do with the behaviour and Christian values I was raised on. They are far more similar to the WOKE or to other cultists than to balanced Christians
I might argue that your polite and non offensive brand of Christianity is how we ended up with 55 year old bearded men insisting on toileting with schoolgirls. I condemn is both β¦ I was of this βpoliteβ non confrontational breed as well. I stood by for years, dismissing my conscience and discomfort in favor of βgetting alongβ. I called it βminding my own businessβ but what I was doing was creating a permission structure for everything that plagues us now. Iβd say my experience is representative of most Christians. We played right into their hands until they started coming for our children with their trans story hours and x rated comic books. I donβt mind standing up now. I see how I can either stand up or lie down, there is no fence sitting in a day and age like this.
BT, why do you continually assume you know me? When you get it wrong every time. I have never been leftwing. Or rightwing. Always Centrist. Not even a feminist.
I am not WOKE. Nor am I a religious fundamentalist. Thank God I am not. Because I don't think he is pleased with that sort -- who are virtue-signaling and viciously judgmental of everyone else. That is not Chrisitianity at all. But it is cultism.
Why can't you grasp the idea that there is a whole lot of possibility between far-leftwing-ism and far-rightwing-ism? You seem to be convinced that those are the only ways you can be.
Nonsense! Their extremism and your extremism are far more alike to one another than being a balanced Centrist type is to either of you.
Oh yeah I get it. You are βmiddle of the roadβ, βtop of the fenceβ β¦ if you donβt see how you are part of the problem you need to think harder.
So you think that "balanced" means a lack of truth and love? You are mis-understanding this.
Jesus Christ was probably the most balanced human being to have walked the earth. You should take cues from him. I cannot see Jesus screeching judgmentally at others the way most of the extremist religious types here do. He would be ashamed of you.
I might get a lot of Scripture quotes and little praying-hand emojis in response to that one. But I have blocked a number of the very extremist types here....which provides some relief.
I only began blocking the worst sorts after 5 or 6 weeks of their regular nonsense. They were not interested in civil discourse. It takes two sides for that.
I think people have blocked me. Probably the same ones who brag that they refuse to read anything written by people who disagree with them. It pollutes their vital fluids, or something like that.
The Puritans of that era certainly thought they were.
My point is that not everyone who claims they are Christian actually is. Christianity requires homeostasis, at the centre of the psychological spectrum where you can have a balanced SELF. Extremism is deficient in homeostasis by definition.
Au contraire, Alan. It is the pack of rather nutty extremists here who tell everyone else that they are sinners. In a very judgmental manner, over slight differences of opinion. And then they often go on to scream at you that you are the Anti-Christ too.
That is when I wonder, frankly, if they are mentally ill. This is not normal behaviour. They are similar to the WOKE-folk on TikTok.
@A., Well, can you read βconciseβ? Nonetheless, you (and your almost 30 subscribers!) may consider what you write profound but only a fool unironically harps (or writes 100s of unread interweb posts!) on βmoderation.β
Itβs incredible the fallen world starts at the top, in our government. Iβll never forget Kamala bailing out criminals. Off topic but Warren is my senator.
These Liars and Frauds. That sums up the democrat party. From their feeble dementia riddled president who they all swore was sharp as a tack and running circles around everyone, to the fraudulent Chief, Elizabeth Warren, who stole jobs from actual American Indians and minorities, to Secretary of βTransβportation, Pete Buttigieg, who took 3 months off so HE could breastfeed HIS new adopted child, what a GUY!
Of coarse Elizabeth Warren took a short position with Spirit Airlines just before the merger with Jet Blue knowing the merger would fail, making a fortune when the merger was tossed. Recently she sold off the stocks she had knowing the airline was going belly up. The greed was just too much for the scumbag, produce nothing, democrats to allow the merger. BTW she was the senator that headed up the campaign to squash the merger with Jet Blue saying it was creating a monopoly among the discount airlines, how utterly idiotic and corrupt. She has done nothing for Massachusetts, nothing except hurt the people that live here.
You must know that Merrick Garland was also all in on stopping the merger which inevitably forced Spirit to close its doors. Iβm sure he made boatloads of money as well as the dirtiest of all Nancy the Disgusting Pig Pelosi.
Really happy the war is declared to be over, but a lot of us βsubjectsβ struggle, daily trying to figure out how to pay the bills, while they live in their mansions. Itβs gotten so bad at my house weβre trying to figure out what vehicle to sell to pay another outrageous number of monthly bills. We have both had a lifetime of working our asses off to the point our bodies are broken, while we watch these scumbag corrupt politicians get exorbitantly wealthy, as my family sinks.
Now not only the 14,000 Spirit jobs are gone but add to that another 30-40 thousand jobs that supported that airline. Iβd say all the extra money Chief Spreading Bull made would help to pay off the massive wall around her mansion but that was completed long ago, just around the time she was killing the border wall, incredible. These stupid Massachusetts voters, many of them illegal aliens, Iβm sure will vote the democrat back in, many of them are on the take themselves. J.Goodrich
Why was Pocahontas allowed to succeed with little help from a few other helpless fools? Why didn't so many others in Congress stand up against this? It seems to me that it is so easy for our members in Congress to push the blame but never stand up for what is right. They have become utterly useless and need to all be sent home and start fresh! Our Founding Fathers did not intend for our Legislators to make their so called job full time. If they had to actually work for a living, we would all be much better off!!!!
Iβm the same Juju. I was going to repost but deleted it. This happened the other day when Lori commented on my post, hers were missing. Not sure why, I guess itβs a sub stack glitch??
Iβm using the iPhone app, so I donβt have βctrlβ or F5 options. The Like and Reply buttons are missing on Jamesβs comment, but visible on everyone elseβs. Maybe a glitch on the iOS app.
Yeah the last iPhone app update broke a LOT of stuff. Itβs not missing on every account, just a few.
My app also crashes all the time now after the update when Iβm perusing notifications. They made so many things much worse, not better. And the interface with stacks is awful now. Why do they insist on fixing things that arenβt broken and breaking them?
As long as we have month(s) long s_Elections (built on wholesale mail in ballot fraud informed by s_election machines like ePollbooks in the ESS election theft suite) instead of verifiable elections we will have Pocahontas and the rest of them. And then throw in all the illegal immigrants who were let into the country, were registered to vote as part of their illegal entrance, to replace American citizens.
Can anyone please explain to me why government gets to run our elections and inform us of their "results"?
Well Dan, I for one think the cycle begins with Government Schools! As long as we allow the Government to educate our future voters' the bureaucrat underlings and staffers of the Congress will continue to run the Government with help from the Lobbiests.
I don't disagree, but it is bigger than that. The barrage of leftist bullshit through every type of media and from leftist billionaires like deeply evil soros, gates, zuckerburg, etc who stole their wealth or was given it by our government -through the appropriations of our tax money is equally responsible or was given it by parents who earned it (but they never earned a penny themselves).
I also have thought this, Lisa!! Government schools. That is precisely what they are. And the Teachers Unions are for the most part, vile, left leaning, and seem to do little to nothing to better educate our kids, but routinely donate big bucks to those left leaning organizations. Itβs disgusting. So thankful the horrific overreach of the Covid debacle, caused a fair number of parents to Wake Up to what was really going on in their kidsβ schools and how poorly the kids were doing overall.
I know first hand all about the protectionist, Teachers' Union and how they choose lazy but loyal staff over the welfare of children! I first experienced it as a young Teachers Aide, when I was expected to take up the slack left by other Aides while they sat on their largest muscle and gabbed with others while on the clock, and threatened to keep quiet while they played favorites with particular children.
As a Teacher, I got pushback for going the extra mile and requiring that aides in my class focus on the children rather than their date Saturday night. As a parent I reported an abusive teacher to the Principal, only to later learn that the two were close friends, which was likely why the Principal requested that I not put my complaint in writing! I did of course. When our son was in grade 3, he would come home daily with the latest updates on his teachers backyard relandscaping project. it turns out she was on her cell multiple times per day managing contractors. Then came her son's wedding preparations (to be held in newly renovated yard). One parent pulled her daughter from the class sighting neglect by the teacher and we ended up having our son repeat the year, this time with a more child focused teacher, as did another parent. The office claimed they could not remove the teacher due to the Union.
We the taxpayers and our children should have more say or the right to shop for a child-based school, and the right to take our pupils dollar allotment with us!
The California Teacher's Union wields all the power over the government in California. They get their paws on an unbelievable amount of money and pretend to be working for the education of CA students, but in reality they do absolutely nothing of value for anyone but themselves. Their union dues go to backing Democrat extremist candidates, but they never ask their union members what they want. They created a silly radio ad about bullying and have probably spent millions on this ad, which has been running unchanged for a number of years now. Ond ad and that's it. Never a word about mental issues with the kids, their lower than low reading and math scores, no special programs or anything of merit for teachers or students. My daughter is a 6th grade teacher and she refused to sign up for the union because they are worse than useless.
I just came across that detestable idiot Randi Weingarden giving a speech at some event or another...not sure but I think it was fairly recent....and she was screeching at top voice and waving her hands around, and she just seemed totally unhinged. Could someone please remove her from that worthless position?
You just highlighted why Trump has doomed the GOP. Main street is really hurting. Most middle and lower middle class families don't hold stocks other than being vested in a 401k. The needless Iran actions are going to hurt the working class for months, likely years. Kuwait shipped no oil during the month of April. If things escalate again, Iran may hit additional gulf oil infrastructure, which some analysts contend could take a decade to recover from.
While your family and most others struggle to make ends meet, our AIPAC bought and paid for politicians will vote to send billions more to Israel this year, and maybe even a $1.5 trillion dollar military package. Utter insanity.
Main Street is hurt by Local and State taxes, fees and policies far more than it is hurt by Federal Spending. If we look at California, very much like Massachusetts in so far a Governance, we see that the number and amount of taxes, fees and added costs due to ridiculous mandates (high-density housing, High-Speed Rail, Homeless projects, needle dispersal, et cetera) add up to a major squeeze on the middle class that makes too much in earnings to qualify as a pet of the Democrats, yet not enough to "feel" that they can invest in their own future. The truth is that anyone can invest in the market, if they have the ability to research funds and the personal discipline to forgo the easy "grab and go" temptations in favor of allocating a small amount to mutual funds.
Somehow during the Plandemic, many of us were able to make our own coffee, go without haircuts, restaurant meals of any kind, vacations, clothes chopping, Sporting events, new furniture, et cetera. It is often our own mindset that tells us we cannot achieve something therefore we do not even do the basic research, but just spout the lines that others' wrote for us.
Our debt is out of control, and is making the dollar weaker, which means main street has less buying power - it certainly does impact main street.
Most people in our country live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford an unexpected $400 expense (which isn't much these days) - how can anyone falling in this category afford to "invest?" They can't even afford to invest in a home for themselves, let alone the stock market or mutual funds.
While I agree people in general could be more frugal, I see a lot of families who already are, and are still scrapping by. It's only going to get worse with oil prices increasing the cost of everything for months or years to come.
The Oil oligarchy just suffered a major blow when the they lost the United Arab Emmerants. The new alignment is in the process. Perhaps you are too young to remember gas rationing in the 1970's. I guess people will need to rethink their budget priorities mush like we did when we retired in the Biden Economy of high gas prices, high egg prices and no SSI funding to come for another year and a quarter. We set a budget and stuck to it. Thankfully, we always lived frugally and what we didn't spend on entertainment, and other nonessentials, we invested in our future, therefore, we could tap into a few dividend checks to ease the transition, because even a check for $19.47 is helpful.
I think possibly the United Arab Emirates leaving OPEC could possibly be a good thing. OPEC has influenced oil prices for decades, and not for the better. Even though the U.S. doesn't get a lot of oil for the Middle East, our prices don't go down as they should because of OPEC and its constraints with pricing of all OPEC members. I hope the U.S. gets out of OPEC too.
Main street Democrat socialists complain about everything all the time.
You pay attention to those that cry "wolf" daily if you want.
They're the ones that are now up to number 13 Covid injections. It's no wonder they are crying the blues, they're killing themselves and blaming everyone else.
It's interesting how the trolls all show up first in the comments. "The war is lost" "Israel and the Jews are the real problem". See how they latch on to a spectacularly popular stack featuring optimism and encouragement to spew their garbage, hoping to snag a few devotees for their stacks. Parasites by definition.
I had to check to see if Iβd missed comments and you reminded me that I had blocked a LOT last week. What a wonderful read this morning in comments without βthem.β
Sounds wonderful. Do you have a link or directions on how to block individual comments? I tried a search but found very little information. Thanks in advance!
Iβm not sure if you can block individual comments but you can block a commenter and hence all of his/her comments. Just click on their user name, you should see three dots at the top right on their account, click on that and you should see several options, including βblock.β
The only commenters Iβve ever blocked were name callers. To block people for their beliefs or arguments that are different than yours, makes a mockery of βsticks & stonesβ adage.
Thatβs not the people we are blocking π As a matter of fact I hold different opinions from a lot of people here that I never blocked.
But itβs an argument they love to throw in peopleβs faces to force them to feel bad for blocking anyone. Thatβs their way to ensure they get their disgusting propaganda claws into us. Itβs clear who the ones are that are NOT here on good faith out of curiosity and thoughtfulness over what Jeff writes about, but solely to disrupt and divide. Thereβs a difference. I will not be bullied into listening to trolls with virtue signaling excuses.
Thereβs good reason to sweep your porch of debris. Life is short
I also come here to enjoy people I now call friends. Would I go to a social event to see them if I had to wade through several rooms of thugs and vile humans first? No, and I wonβt do that here.
Because of blocking, friends are the first thing I see when I step through the door. And thereβs enough people holding different ideas and perspectives that still keep me thoughtful.
You do you
Iβll do me
And neither is more virtuous than the other - lest you forget
If you prefer mindless tribalism and cheerleading for our public servants who serve the ruling class.....you would call others with differing opinions trolls or bots. Maybe instead you could try to engage rather than just name call? Going around just calling others names seems much more like trolling than does sharing one's opinions.
I continue to be baffled by those that require laughs and misleading "optimism" in the face of the ship is that going down but hey, the band is still playing ( and the comedians are still try to wring some laughs from destructive choices that Trump makes). So very weird. Something happened to Trump's brain and the evil people that surround him feed it willingly. He seems so compromised now and totally controlled.
Yes, thinking about all the campaign rhetoric around foreign conflicts, MAHA, prosperity at home....it all seems like a dreamworld. It is hard not to wonder if Mossad has some serious dirt on Trump, or if he really is just an insane zionist after all?
Plus they are so boring since they always say pretty much the same exact things every day, not to mention being pessimistic and nasty. I finally decided I was done trying to accommodate and listen to them. I can get more rational, thoughtful and nuanced opinions elsewhere and from other people.
Fortunately, substack has the block feature, which removes these boring one-note propagandists from my view.
Since I would almost always scroll past the retards, anyway, this makes my daily consumption of Jeff's offerings quicker, tidier and much more pleasant.
Click on a poster's name in their comment; this takes you to their page. On the right top, you will see the 3 dot menu button. Click that and "Block"will become visible.
Yes, that is very interesting. As with all Substacks and subscription groups, I wonder what percentage of commenters are paid subscribers, and what percentage are trolls or unpaid subscribers. Since only the author knows those numbers, we can only guess what they are.
At least Jeff has kept his comment section open to all, so I greatly admire him for that.
The other subscription only stacks and groups are just echo chambers, without those adorable trolls and non-paying commenters.
Jeff apparently and wisely didn't want this to become just another echo chamber.
Sure, Einstein... Patriots with tons of real-life experience and knowledge, Cols Macgregor, Wilkerson, Scott Ritter, Jeffry Sachs, Prof Merscheimer, Larry Johnson, Daniel Davis... ALL who agree that "The war is lost" and "Israel and the Jews are the real problem"...
All have TDS... and we should all continue to worship Orange "Bone-spurs" Caligula and his Court Jester Little Petey Hegseth for their unprovoked and illegal War (in direct violation of our Constitution, existing statutes and International Maritime Law).
The corrupt cowardly neocon scum of congress get special mention too... eh?
Well, I suppose you do have a democrat governor to adopt the language of the left. Iβm actually originally from the Wichita area, but sadly now in WA.
I prefer apartmented! Does anyone truly believe that a unhoused person, living on the streets or in a vehicle is suddenly going to become a actual homeowner? Or magically have the income to rent an entire house? I guess, it might be possible if all the taxpayer dollars that funneled through the NGO's earmarked for the un-apartmented actually... no, shelve that idea because this is the real world and not La La Land. People make a million little choices that result in their current status. Until people become mindful that they alone choose their circumstances, much like the Taco Bell employee and the non-customer, each chose their 2am antics, they will continue to be looked at as useful ignorant idiots for those wishing to control and further a narrative that feeds into their end game.
Jeff, I hope you don't mind a comment on Sunday's post. I know this borders on blog crime!
I'm not a subscriber (sorry the price is a bit steep for me...as much as I love your blog) but the headline about arrested Mexican officials got me curious and I searched it.
I then learned that two CIA officers were killed in Mexico (or died?) in mid April. For those in Portland, mid-April was just a couple weeks ago. Nothing in the MSM about this! Here's the story that I put together with help from my AI:
--The DOJ indicted 10 sitting and former Mexican officials on April 29, 2026, including Sinaloa's governor, for running a cartel protection racket in exchange for bribes.
--Both the governor and CuliacΓ‘n's mayor temporarily stepped down β inadvertently stripping themselves of their legal immunity under Mexican law.
--Mexico's President Sheinbaum refused extradition, insisting any prosecution would happen in Mexico, not Washington.
--Ten days earlier, two CIA officers died in a vehicle crash in Chihuahua's mountains after an unauthorized counternarcotics operation β their deaths are the direct trigger for the indictments.
--Whether the crash was an accident or something more deliberate remains publicly unanswered by either government.
Trump 2.0 continues to be able to handle 186 different issues at once! Amazing!
My first job in 1971 was at a fast food joint which shall remain nameless. I ponder what direction my working life would have taken if I could have pistol-whipped difficult patrons. (Not to brag, but my gun has never discharged when pistol-whipping, as I'm fastidious about trigger discipline.)
Amazing how many donβt know that tool. But thatβs for close in work. Granted, itβs less obvious. I think I need to camo my bats. A nice walnut brown. They look on film like theyβre killing themselves.
I graduated from a Connecticut boarding school in 1978 where nowadays - if you get accepted - mom and dad are paying upwards of $75K tuition per year for the increasingly discredited 'privilege' of realizing eventual Ivy League wet dreams.
Over the last year, all of my classmates ... All ... started ghosting me. The alumni magazine is stuffed to the gills with stories about "global initiative" crap, and not-so-thinly veiled DEI.
Funny how many billionaires and multi millionaires are attracted to that ideology π€π Itβs almost like they know they can use it to get even more control of the peons, under the guise of βequityβ and βmaking the rich pay their fair shareβ π
Had to drop a comment since I also graduated in 1978 from a Connecticut boarding school (Nicaragua dictator Samozaβs son was part of the class and we had machine guns on the roof of the chapel at graduation). It was another world for me as a decidedly not-rich Canadian there on scholarship. It was also an amazing education. I donβt keep connected because Iβm never going to be a donor, so I donβt have any idea what is happening ideologically, but now Iβm curious to find out.
While you were attending University under the watch of government sharp shooters, I was, for a short period of time, followed to school by a Secret Service detail assigned to the safety of my BF's cousin who magically appeared in the middle of the night in 1974. Imagine if you will, three young elementary school girls in dresses and buster browns, in a Middle Class, neighborhood gabbing all the way to school as a long black limo roles just a few yards behind. As I recall, I thought it was odd that my friend's father popped over to consult with my Mum that very morning. On the upside, my friends cousin got to live the life of an American child, was emersed in English and taught us some Spanish. No guns and no towers, but an early understanding of men in black.
They are literally being prepared for a world that no longer exists
Sure, that physical world will continue apace, but what's underneath is largely finding itself submerged in the consequences of self-demoralization and fake gods.
"They can find all the Nazi-tattooed, bearded white guys they want, but if socialism is the main selling point, itβs going to be a difficult sale."
No, the sale will not be difficult because the Dem Party isn't the only salesman. The MSM will be selling this hard. And when we win the midterms, one of Trump's first Exec Orders should be to revoke the broadcast licenses of ABC, NBC and maybe CBS. Although if CBS bucks the trend, the message would be even better by NOT revoking their license.
Not sure what Trump can do about MSNBC, CNN and the other cable news outfits...but I'm sure the Feds have leverage because thanks to 50+ years of Dems and RINOs constantly expanding the size of the Fed Govt...the Feds have leverage over EVERYTHING!
A tip about the MSM. Turn them all off. The only thing you'll miss is the phase "...will hurt Trump/republicans in the midterms..." following every report, whether the info is accurate or opined.
Actually, the only people who watch the MSM are dying off now. The generation we need to worry about does not get their indoctrination from the Dinosaur Media, they get it from bots and Podcasts, Instagram, Reddit and numerous other sources that seem to change and multiply monthly. The instigators'' who creating such a gullible and unlearned generation of sponges are our very own Government schools. I watched it happening to my children in the 2010's and did my best to counter act the Socialist, sexualized, world that the hip young Middle School teachers were dangling in their adolescent path, in the name of "tolerance".
Thankfully, my children, now adults, came to realized how empty and intolerant that lifestyle model actually is. Each generation seeks independence from the previous to some extent, and if not brainwashed and broken in the process, is capable of finding a sane place to land, that they can call their own and get on with the business of living.

Let those be ashamed and humiliated altogether who rejoice at my distress;
Let those be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves over me.
Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication;
And let them say continually, βThe LORD be magnified,
Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.β
And my tongue shall declare Your righteousness
And Your praise all day long.

Also LCMS in Arkansas seeing the same! Seeing the return to our LORD of young families
Revival in Stockton CA:

I love this
Truly amazing! ππ₯
Amazing testimony,SD.
Thanks for sharing, SD. This is wonderful!!!
Joy!!!
God's Blessings!
Hallelujah!!
Yes Janice, praise the one and only Lord
Amen!
Yes, because the Lord is so insecure he needs to be told how wonderful he is by mere humans, on a constant basis?
Praise arises from humility and humility from our sin nature and need for forgiveness. Jesusβ sacrifice was not required of Him, it was a gift. I praise the One Who has saved me from the pit.
Found another one!!
We are meant to give Him glory, honor and praise.
May God have mercy on your soul. If you only would open the Bible and read from Romans 8 you would understand how much God loves you. You would learn freedom from all of your bitterness, anger, and hatred that eats away at your soul. There is only love to be found in the Light of God.
Bottroll.
We praise the Lord because of where we were before he reached down and pulled us up out of the pit.
Notice you capitalized Lord. Bot Farm Llc teach you that?
You canβt just Shutup, Can you?
Yes, he can shut up, just block the reprobate. Like I am doing in 3, 2, 1... block.
Did
Me, too.
How do you block these people?
Tap on its avatar and once on the page, tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner. There you will find the Block option.
You must be Biblically illiterate if you donβt know that God wants us to praise and worship Him.
Three followers and one post from the bot boy!
You make me sad!
The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY demands WORSHIP FROM HIS CHILDREN (Read the Bible)
AND THOSE OF US WHO ADORE HIM... LOVE TO WORSHIP THE LIVING GOD, YAHWEH.
HE IS DUE ALL OUR PRAISE AND ALL THE GLORY!
The Lord is the source of righteousness and His Law is our standard of righteousness. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our example who perfectly fulfilled the Law.
Those verses make me think of Erika Kirk. Let those be ashamed and humiliated altogether who rejoice at her distress.
Oh please
I have no idea what to think of that person. My inner alarm bells go off like crazy at the sight and sound of her. I have no idea what is going on there so I stay away
The write up of the Taco Bell fiasco is the funniest thing Iβve read in some time. Thatβs what Iβm here for!
Socialism isn't going to give you a path to home ownership either.
Juju, I hope he might do a special edition tomorrow because Cinco de Mayo falls Taco Tuesday! A rare occasion! πππ
Taco Bell AND a Florida Man. When it's tee'd up like that, gotta take a swing!
Kind of glad he is focusing more on chalupas today and less on enhancement products ππ
Hahahahaha so true π
Now, that's funny right there, I don't care who ya are!
I bet he gets door dash Chalupas right before he starts his "research" for his daily post. Specifically, before reading the NYT.
Make a cheesy Gordita at home: https://substack.com/@therecessionchef/note/c-251845304?r=nl3ud&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action The recession chef tends to go left but has interesting recipes & an entertaining way of presenting them. Iβm not a Taco Bell customer but this recipe did look delicious.
Oh man, I'm in tears from reading that! Childers could have been a stand-up comic if he had so chosen. Who knows? Maybe he is...on the sly.
If AI replaces all lawyers, he will make a lot of money as a standup comedian.
Totally hilarious, but i can't help but think back to the late 70's and 80's when, shockingly enough, we could hang out with friends and somehow wait three hours for our favorite song to play on the radio just so we could record it on a blank cassette....and not kill each other.
They'll never understand the agony....
No "kill switch" on the Dakota!
The "Kill Switch" will inevitably lead to a "Kill You Switch".
Or a "Kill All Joy Of Driving Switch". I swear these technocrats want to wring all the joy out of living. I keep wondering when they're going to try to take my motorcycle away from me. That will become a 2nd-Amendment issue...
There is nothing more annoying than the auto stop/start.
If nothing else it's worth having Trump in office to kill that nonsense!
Doug, I'd love to ride along!π
You mean you have vehicles that last this long? I am in Canada, where the road salt and winter ice make it impossible.
In Cali near the coast. Rain but no snow/ice or salt.
And then your mom walked in the room in the middle of the song to say that dinner is ready πππ
Oh goodness, the audacity!
Also remember using a pencil to fix the tape in the cassette?!
Oh my. Good times!
LOL, Silent.
Wow, haven't thought about that in some time - great memories.
We were the last one's Johnny-O, and we didn't know it.
Its all been downhill since then.
I used to stay up late to record as much as I could of Dr. Demento...

My thoughts exactly, Nancy. The laughter reflex Jeffβs rendition of that story triggered this morning nearly resulted in abdominal muscle strain.
I was holding it together, albeit barely, until I got to the suspect's name. At that point I had to put the phone down and go outside for some fresh air and deep breaths.
Otherwise I woulda cracked a rib. π
Reminds me of that Key and Peele comedy routine about the Substitute Teacher...
LOL,Keith!π€£
That was one that pretty much demanded the "I'm not making this up!" disclaimer. π€£
π
βUnauthorized soda acquisitionβ π Outstandingly funny way to kick off a Monday morning!
It would have to be one of those head banging screamer rock bands to properly reflect the name. Lol
DAVE BARRY FOREVER!! Big Trouble is one of my absolute all-time favorite movies.
I have done that too. π. Maybe not flooding the place however. I just slunk back to my seat.
Thatβs going to be on his permanent record π€£
It goes along with the news today that McDonald's is phasing out the self-serve soda fountains. We no longer live in a high-trust society.
Maybe they should just lock the fountains behind a plastic shield so an employee has to be called over to unlock them...
Yep, just like in my CVS and Target :/
If it slows down the flood of leftists refugees fleeing from blue state policies they voted for, Iβm for it!

I was laughing all the way through his description of events. If only I had that sense of humor while writing assault reports!
Just texted it to all my friends.
So funny.
But maybe he was just trying to teach them honesty.
He must have missed a few days at Eagle Ridge.
Comical. Drinking tap water, laden with Fl in most states, microplastics, and pharmaceutical
contributions, may be a partial explanation for insane behavior. Just saying.
Lefties who either do not know where their funding originates competes strongly for lower level clueless with those who work or dine at Taco Bell.
The 1886 May Day reveal illustrates that the "protests" are nothing new
Have no time or inclination to read the "Times"
Any teacher who skipped school to protest on May Day, should be docked a day's pay.
Teaches who skip school to protest should be fired!!
@Oma- and any teacher who seduced children into skipping school should not only be fired but her his/her teaching license revoked.
Exactly!!
I think jail time is more appropriate.
It has to be exhausting.
I canβt stand them. Period.
Lolol.
Dr Michael Savage wrote a book with that same title about liberalISM years ago..
Same. My raging liberal sisters and I are down to just trading cat videos and bird sightings online. Nothing else I feel we can talk about. Sad.
Itβs not your fault. They are crazy.
Yup
I probably would be sending them Baby News Network videos π!
Comes from allowing President Trump to live in their heads rent-free way too long. But actually the President Trump they think he is.
Number of people who had to take off work for the protest: zero
Democratic Socialism = Oxymoron
Wondering if weβll see Tucker campaign for the bearded, tattooed communist running for office in Maine? Pretty sure he lives there.
Itβs been a long while since Iβve been as disenchanted with anyone as much as Iβve been with Tucker. He is truly a destructive force now and I hope his followers have dropped off in droves. What happened to him? I didnβt change, he did, or was he lying all along?
Iβd like to know too, I was a big fan
Same! Was a founding member of his TCN but canceled my membership due to the recent craziness
Was he paid-off? Or did he mind-snap, like the COVID-maniacs?
Odd thing about Tucker is that his religious denomination had always been Episcopal. And they are far-leftwing WOKE. Not even really Christian.
Tucker needs to be careful.
This is not the FOX News Tucker Carlson.
Commie with an SS tattoo; LMAO!
William, you spoke some serious truth there!
Defending Democracy=Control by Progressive Socialists
βThe increasing willingness of mainstream Democrats to align with extremist socialist groups is a major factor in why the Democratic Party is losing the center more and more, and why so many lifelong Democrats find themselves feeling politically homeless.β In a nutshell: A vote for democrats is a vote for communism!
MAGA!
Former democrat. Fully MAGA/MAHA.

For us Floridians:
Please vote for our Lt Governor Jay Collins on August 18th for the next Governor! I like Byron Donalds but the leftist Jolly could be the next Governor if the GOP puts him on the ballot in November!
This is due to Byron's criminal convictions that the left will use to turn people off voting for him!
So VOTE FOR JAY COLLINS, a former green beret with a Purple Heart and prosthetic leg from service connected amputation!
What criminal convictions?
Watch this for actual clips of Byron discussing his "mistakes" in his youth. If you don't think the left will use this info to get their man elected, you haven't learned anything!
https://youtu.be/MsIDWAdluY8
We can't allow the Dem to win!
https://youtu.be/MsIDWAdluY8
Thanks for that great reply and video.
It's exactly what I was hoping to see.
I am also a Floridian, but didn't know that criminal history of Byron, so that video was VERY enlightening.
Now I need to dig up the dirt on all of the other candidates too, since we all know that they ALL have some dirt.
Then it's just a decision of who has the least dirt or criminal convictions.
As sad as that is.
I do apologize for being a doubter, but I haven't seen any politician or candidate with NO dirt yet.
= socialism for the oligarchs.
As NYC is clearly showing, actual socialism is comeuppance for useful idiots.
How so in NYC?
The collapse of the city and the revolt of the supporters is my clue.
He was left with a budget disaster from the immigrant costs of the previous Dems.
He won with the young vote because of the genocide in Gaza. He seems less controlled by Wall St. He is leaning on the super rich to support services. No way they will leave.
= Criminocracy = Pathocracy too.
No way to talk about Wall St. and the Federal Reserve.
BOT
How enlightening.
In a "pure democracy," voters get to secretly vote and publicly count votes exactly once.
Yes, so why is the government the one counting the votes?
Isn't that a conflict of interest, at the very least?
and a hand gets cut off for cheating? that's a 2 strikes policy
Democracy is mob rule.
whoever controls the mob makes the rules
Its just insane, but predictable.
Also Thatcherβs "the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money"
They wonβt run out of OPM if the ngo fraudsters continue to steal our tax dollars. Vanceβs fraud team needs to shut it all down.
Agree.
Dennis Prager βThe bigger the government the smaller the citizenββ¦
Oh yes thatβs spot on!!
What happens when your debt exceeds GDP like it has now in the USA? I guess you donβt run out of money if your government can just print more.
bUt iF wE dO iT rIgHt tHiS tImE iT wIlL wOrK!
Guy, that is a good response! My grandfather about 7-8 generations back was a Puritan. Came in 1635 to Massachusetts. Help found a city.
Yes. Well said
Donβt forget the label of βattracted to minorsβ. Give an inch and they take a mile
Trans-generational would give them better cover, MORON PERVERTS!

"Leftist brains are still convinced that the only way to "progress" in the 21st Century is with a utopian ideology from the 19th Century that was resoundingly disproven in the 20th Century."
I'm stealing that quote... Just thought I'd let you know..!
the internets free, my friend.
spread it wide and far!.....:)
Bingo. Jeff C "turns out that Americaβs founders actually believed that a republic requires virtuous citizens."
In answering the question, " Does Power Corrupt? " which to my own suprise I argued against , we find that happiness is downstream of virtue.

Communism thrives on creating victims. TDS sufferers are Americaβs biggest victim class.
Iβm beginning to think TDS is a contagious bioweapon.
Itβs practically incurable.
It will remain incurable as long as they only take in lies and propaganda.
100%. The propagandists have done a great job of brainwashing TDS sufferers into believing that alternative info sources are toxic.
I think the syndrome has maxed out, it is not calling many new members β¦ that first wave was its only wave β¦ that plus perhaps a trickle constitute its following.
Haha Laura! Good one π
IMO they are the numero uno enemy from within.
Oh and the left will conflate our right to defend ourselves with their use of guns to tear apart society. You are right.
Dan, "A" stands as centrist.
"Centrist Crazy" and delusional is a more accurate description.
Don't be pulled into the false logic it pretends to espouse.
I would have said that your position is not far right but is mostly mainstream, altho to the right of the middle. Far rigjt id Tucker Carlson et al.
People like βAβ throw out false comparisons in order to justify their own wrongs.
I agree, James. 100%.
βFar right extremismβ is only a call for the values that grew us to a point of prosperity where we could afford to dalliance into extreme left nonsense. βFar rightβ is not far at all.
Jesus was not βbalancedβ, not at all! He spoke truth with love.
Extremely well said, thanks BelleTower.
I might get a lot of Scripture quotes and little praying-hand emojis in response to that one. But I have blocked a number of the very extremist types here....which provides some relief.
(sigh)... I guess everyone is blocking everybody now. Seems to be contagious.
It's ironic, considering today's theme of civil discourse.
Mrs. RW
Mrs. RW
It calls "civil discourse" what it writes here.
There are several other "civil discourse" spreaders here on Jeff's site.
Block em and knock em off.
"...That is how each side sees themselves -- as very righteous."
Thus does evil present itself. Thus in their perspective, Satan is the only one worthy of worship.
Yes, as in the "righteous Chrisitian" Puritans of 1692 in Salem. Who started working for Satan.
So... are you using this to characterize Christianity?
The Puritans of that era certainly thought they were.
My point is that not everyone who claims they are Christian actually is. Christianity requires homeostasis, at the centre of the psychological spectrum where you can have a balanced SELF. Extremism is deficient in homeostasis by definition.
Think of the Golden Mean. Balance.
β Christianity requires homeostasis, at the centre of the psychological spectrum where you can have a balanced SELFβ
Where does this definition or requirement come from?
You didn't really answer my question.
Gee, please inform me about moderation, @A.
I seem to remember most christiantjoughtrevolving around the fact that we are all sinners. Hm. And yet, here you are, above us all.
Greed and insider trading.
For some reason there is no like or reply under Jamesβ comments for me, so I canβt do either. Hopefully he will see it under yours? Like!π
Iβm the same Juju. I was going to repost but deleted it. This happened the other day when Lori commented on my post, hers were missing. Not sure why, I guess itβs a sub stack glitch??
Same for me, thatβs so weird π
Strange, I see a "Like" and "Reply" under his which is why I did.
Same for me π€
I have found using the combination of keys "CTRL" and F5 and or reopening in another window to be successful in fixing these anomalies.
Boo Hoo!
So sorry to hear how hard it is being, JG. I pray for blessings on you.
Thank You Lisa!
Yet....they keep getting re-elected.
I wonder how...
Amazing. I donβt see a single one of them today π My block function is golden
I had to check to see if Iβd missed comments and you reminded me that I had blocked a LOT last week. What a wonderful read this morning in comments without βthem.β
They cannot rob this community of its celebratory joy and energy. Not while we have the power to preserve it.
π―
I found one: GK
Block complete.
I was thinking the same thing.
Same!!! π The Vorpal Sword in action π
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
Tap on their avatar. On their profile page there should be three dots upper right. From that menu you can block
"If you prefer mindless tribalism and cheerleading for our public servants who serve the ruling class..."
Do you mean like the "liberals"
did for the 4 years Cabbage Head "auto-penned" his way through Washington D.C.?
Yes Iβm very glad I finally decided to take advantage of that useful feature π
The block function is genius.
How do I block someone, please?
Click on a poster's name in their comment; this takes you to their page. On the right top, you will see the 3 dot menu button. Click that and "Block"will become visible.
It's a delightful feature.
Janet is showing up first in my comments π
Mine also, then James.
Mrs. RW
The corrupt cowardly neocon scum of congress get special mention too... eh?
Bots
Good morning fellow C&Cers!
Good sunny Monday!! βοΈπ·βοΈ
It certainly is here in NE Kansas. Cheers.
Good morning, shayne!
Mrs. "the Knife"
Morning MtK!
Good morning!! π
Morning RL!
Good afternoon Shayne!!
Good afternoon Karmy π
Iβm thankful I went to school when orderly potty training was mandatory. Also we learned water cups were for water and avoided gunfire.
βDemocrats find themselves politically homelessβ,um surely he meant βunhousedβ
ππ
Where I live it's "experiencing homelessness". I'm not kidding.
Are you in WA state?
I'm in Lawrence, Kansas.
Choose wisely folks!
I look forward to your updates every day! Thank you Mr Childers!
Rabid Badgers! You named my next band!
Jeff has so many phrases that would make excellent band names!
π€£π
This is true π
I just don't abuse my guns by using them as clubs. Always carry around a baseball bat for your Taco Bell outings. That's my motto.
Aluminum Childs size is incredible. One hit wonder. I have one for each car, when the shooting of the perp is β overkillβ.
I do have a lead-filled, leather-lined sap for close in work.
Amazing how many donβt know that tool. But thatβs for close in work. Granted, itβs less obvious. I think I need to camo my bats. A nice walnut brown. They look on film like theyβre killing themselves.
πππ
Depends... are you human...
Or simian?
I graduated from a Connecticut boarding school in 1978 where nowadays - if you get accepted - mom and dad are paying upwards of $75K tuition per year for the increasingly discredited 'privilege' of realizing eventual Ivy League wet dreams.
Over the last year, all of my classmates ... All ... started ghosting me. The alumni magazine is stuffed to the gills with stories about "global initiative" crap, and not-so-thinly veiled DEI.
Lenin would fit in well there.
Plenty of billionaire families, though.
I love these stories! For clarification, I was referencing a high school (prep school) graduation - I was only 17.
I had some amends to make and made discreet, courteous outreach to several classmates
I am also truly interested in who they've become
But nothing more than veiled refusals to have a conversation
I got three things from going there: English, French, and a gimlet eye.
I was appalled by the 'smell' of the curriculum ... a funnel into board rooms and their country clubs.
No Solzhenitsyn, no Rachel Carson
I havenβt watched or listened to them in decades.
And too many people love βfree stuffβ π
