My husband retired from Boeing…and he’s not going either! When he retired in 2018 as a technical writer (writing the repair manuals), he was already complaining about the quality of the maintenance/repair teams on the floor. That situation has apparently gotten much, much worse.

My father retired from Boeing and must be rolling in his grave, cursing like a truck driver. He led the Functional Test Team and took great pride in the Company. Recently we had to fly to Seattle for a wedding and Alaska Airlines only flies Boeing planes. I was stressed the entire flight.
'Twas a time I would fly only on Alaska between Bay Area and Seattle because of the experience the pilots had in those days. Flying the worst weather Alaska - the state - could throw at them. Now, I don't even want to go to the airport.
I know what you mean about flying! I have a really good friend that was flying (flight attendant) for a major airlines, and she refuses to fly commercial. She now works for a small private “airline”. Her stories are harrowing, both from a mechanical, and from a medical, standpoint!
Very hard to say. I watched a YT documentary talking about how many people that invented cool useful things, put in a patent for their invention, and they died.

We were really happy to see the pilot and co-pilot were both older white men.

So much worse to the point they are murdering whistleblowers.
Indeed. How many whistleblowers in the last decade have mysteriously and suddenly died? The Deep State in action!

Is there any way to know how many DEI hires Boeing now has doing maintenance and repair?
Was wondering if the covid shots were undermining mechanics, pilots, engineers mental function. What if they are foggy or absent minded?
Maybe by FOIA-ing their employment records. Otherwise no.
