I have many memories of Case I recoveries. Once you get a few in your logbook, they are an awesome experience. Nothing else in aviation compares. Moonless nighttime, or pouring rain with a pitching deck are still incomparable to anything else in aviation, but for the less desirable reasons.

MV-22 replacement for the C-2 Greyhound is a program management decision, not an operators' choice. Those tilt rotters on the carrier flight deck are terrible. And then when they break down, good luck stuffing that thing somewhere.
