I think you must be right. Strange that I want to be fooled into believing there's a viable choice for improvement on the ballot. (And no... RFK, Jr. isn't viable either... )

It's hard to feel black-pilled about national elections.

RFK Jr's response Ad was slick, clean, and compelling, a veritable homage to Dem-run America, good unity message that plays well with small business, workers, etc but would be anathema to both extremes of the Shirking Class that suckle off of the Working Class. Who de-railed America Mr. Kennedy? Was it Nixon, was it Reagan, was it the Security State? was it the Radical-Commie Left taking over Your Dem Party--that your Uncle saw as a true danger? he alludes to the War Machine quite heavily as the controller of policy so at least he's correct about that. The HOW of re-unifying Americans is where is gets tough... Polarization has been well implemented. How do you unify Venus and Mars, Light and Dark, Oil and Water? Biden's speech could have been titled "Rolling Back Reagan and the Republicans and Repudiating MAGA" the ONLY Olive Branch extended was "join us as Lapdogs and stay out of OUR Way!" Not sure that RFK Jr. really sees it much differently

I agree--it basically leaves us with no options and that is scary and hopeless---and no one wants to feel hopeless. They know this. That's why you only get two choices every time. It is certainly a tough state to live in.

The option is to pick the best we can. If we can get energy independence in oil and gas, nuclear generation going in the power grid, some real industrialization going ... I am for that. For the rest of it, we have to make difficult for people we somewhat like until we get what we want.

And because we are so far gone, that might not be enough. But we have to try. And resistance to Evil is a duty no matter the outcome.

There is a timeless truth! The Uniparty system only gives us 2 candidates disguised as a "choice". We will never have a real choice until the whole system collapses.

Al, Daverkb has the right take on this. We should not focus on the perceived hopelessness. Rather we should focus on our Duty to resist evil no matter the outcome. That means simply doing/picking the best we can.

Sort of. I never said to "focus on the perceived hopelessness"---because that is also a construct of the ruling class mafia. By limiting our choices and boxing us in to various systems we are left to feel powerless, but it doesn't mean we must participate or play their game. But nor does it mean succumbing to their system and relenting to their choices---relegated to nothing more than picking from the choices they provide.

All of what you are saying justifies voting for Trump--all roads lead to Trump. I cannot vote for a man who knowingly murdered any people and still refuses to acknowledge even the smallest part of the story, whether he personally takes the blame or not. Frankly, I'd rather have the other side in again to further highlight the sheer devastation at hand. I'm guessing the pendulum will swing back though before it gets too hot.

But it's not like we really have a choice either way.

"hopeless" = ship without a rudder, so to speak. That is part of the plan and a very effective one; likely in the 3-letter agency play book? Keep your eyes on the prize.
