Hard to turn down campaign cash. I support DeSantis, Abbott, and Trump, but I’m sick of politicians tap dancing around select issues and trying to appeal to wishy-washy middle ground voters. For God’s sake, quit looking tainted, just do the right thing, and let the chips fall.

That has been my mantra for a looong time. But....the political structure of the world effectively controls everything. I think the whole system will have to collapse before we get what we want. Reality bites. The last POTUS that "wanted to do the right thing" was killed by his own CIA. All possibilities of doing the right thing died with JFK. Now we will have to ride this to the bitter end.
Greg Abbott was a good AG and governor until covid hit. He first said "Texas will have no mandates. Texans are smart and can take care of themselves". TWO weeks later -> BAM - Mask mandates and mandatory "non-essential" business closures. He kept re-signing his March 2020 Covid Emergency order until June 2023!! Texas (Abbott) was the second to the last state to give up covid emergency powers. He didn't rescind the order, he just finally let the order expire. 😡
Only recently, Abbott seems to have found out the US Constitution allows Texas to protect it's borders from foreign invaders. Some have been screaming that for 3+ years, I know I have! I even wrote to Abbott and my US and State Senators and Reps, highlighting this information IN the Constitution. Why is Abbott just now figuring this out?? He got away with it because people don't know what our Constitution really says. Makes one wonder if the border issue really IS being used as a Republican talking point for elections? Abbott is a wolf in sheep's clothing. 🐺
