What has me in a bit of a Debbie Downer mode this morning, is that I just read results of a Rasmussen poll: 59% of Dems think the unVaxxed should be under house arrest and not permitted to leave except in an emergency. That's almost 2 out of 3!! Only 79% of Repub oppose it. It should be 100%. I guess those 20% get all of their information from the TeeVee and assume it's all true.
Almost HALF of Dems think the Govt should be able to fine and IMPRISON people who question the efficacy of Vax on social media, radio, tv, or ONLINE!
45%, again, almost HALF of the Dems think the unVaxxed should be put into "designated facilities" (i.e, Camps) until they submit.
In other words, unless you live in a solid red neighborhood, you have neighbors - people you say hi to while walking the dog - favor you being fined, imprisoned, hauled away (preferably by boxcar no doubt), to a Camp, if they happen to discover your "unclean" status. Almost half of this country favors full on Australia fascism, over a medical procedure.
My twitter feed is full of people who think that tennis player who got booted from Australia, "got what he deserved." Ridiculous. I think I need to find new people to follow. :)
This is still going to be a huge fight, and we have to stay strong and not be complacent.
It's always great to hear good news and that the truth is being revealed. But this seems to have little impact on what is happening in our daily lives. Colleges still mandating boosters. Hospitals denying safe treatments in favor of those that kill. School districts in Virginia threatening to return to online learning to avoid governor's mask EO. What will it take before we begin to see the practical impact of the changing political/media narrative?
Any news on the state or possible outcome of the CMS lawsuits in the lower courts? My hospital has once again mandated the shots. I was exempted for religious reasons, as were many of my colleagues, but they also denied a lot of people. Many of these people submitted legitimate REs. Some people were previously approved for flu, but denied covid. I also know of people in the same family, where one was denied, and another was approved (and letters were similar).
It's looking like the ones who were denied are going to have to sue. It's pretty crappy they're treating employees this way, last year's heroes! BTW, this is a large healthcare org in NE Ohio (you can guess which one).

I love how the Vaccinators try to claim credit for the end of the pandemic, when in South Africa only 3 out of 10 are jabbed! 😂😂😂 They are still valiantly trying to frog-march us all to the vaccine chambers, but South Africans are having none of it. Businesses and universities still being prodded by their Pfizer puppet masters, though. Not quite out of the woods yet. And our Health minister Phaahla is utterly clueless. Thinks that herd immunity is by vax alone, yet the likes of Prof Madhi are happy to credit natural immunity when incorporating it into their more optimistic modelling talking points.
Is it just me or is anybody else worried about all of our favorite leaders going to DC together while the administration there has made it impossible for a large part of us to go. It feels like a trap. I hate to be this person but can y’all please be careful and watch your backs?

Just had a friend's brother die after the whole Remdesivir/ventilator treatment. Enough already!
Just so you guys know, I live in an extremely blue community in an extremely red state in the US. Yet I am a vaccine skeptic, and a liberal. It's not all groupthink on either side of the divide.
