☕️ Coffee & Covid ☙ Wednesday, July 13, 2022 ☙ IT’S DOOMSDAY AGAIN 🦠
Electoral doomsday for dems; an nuclear-level fear-porn PSA in NYC; cracks in the Ukraine alliance; judge orders discovery into federal Twitter meddling; New Zealand covid numbers; and much more...
Good morning and Happy Wednesday, C&C! Today we launch our July multiplier and the wacky roundup includes: It’s doomsday for dems, according to The Hill; Fox says it’s obvious; NYC pumps fear porn with a literally nuclear PSA; a federal judge orders discovery into the Biden-Twitter alliance; despite following ALL the covid advice, New Zealand isn’t doing well on the covid front; Sri Lanka spreads; California bans … gas stations; media tries to change the subject; Macron is in the crosshairs; and cracks appear in the Ukraine alliance.
🗞 *THE C&C ARMY POST* 🗞
🪖 OPERATION MULTIPLIER: It’s on, C&C Army! Our July multiplier is here and it’s an incredibly important one. Today we are multiplying Feds For Medical Freedom – one of the best organized, most effective medical freedom activist groups formed in the wake of covid mandates, and representing a group of folks squarely in the crosshairs of federal jab coercion.
I probably don’t need to point out how critical it is that as many people as possible STAY in federal government who oppose medical coercion. We can’t afford for the feds to purge the entire federal workforce of everyone who believes in medical freedom. We need them inside. So our message to the federal jab bureaucracy is: our bodies are not your property just because we take a paycheck.
And our message to our brothers and sisters in the extended federal workforce — workers AND contractors — is to keep fighting! We’ve got your back.
For new C&C recruits, here’s how it works. Stop RIGHT NOW, click the link below, and so they know where it came from, donate any amount ending in a ‘2’. It could be $2, $12, $22 — whatever you can easily afford. (You can often put the ‘2’ in the decimals in some operations, but this one only accepts round numbers.)
By working together, and with all of us aiming at the same target, we have massive influence none of us could hope to have individually. To make it work, we ALL work together as a team. Trust us — you’re going to feel GREAT afterwards, I promise.
Here’s the link: https://feds4medfreedom.org/. Scroll down to the donate area. It asks for a processing fee, you can add that or not, it will only shift the column where the ’2’ appears.
Remember, it’s not so much about whether you feel passionate about this particular issue. It’s about feeling passionate about building a giant army of Davids to take down Goliath. Knock it out NOW, and then come back and read the rest of today’s post. It only takes a second!
Here’s the link again: https://feds4medfreedom.org/.
🪖 I’m working through all our youth writing contest entries and we’ll announce winners soon.
🪖 On Friday morning, I’ll be speaking at the three-day Moms for Liberty National Conference in Tampa, scheduled right after Governor DeSantis’s opening remarks, on a panel along with heroic representatives Erin Grall and Joe Harding. I’ll see all our joyful warriors there!
🗞*NEWS AND COMMENTARY* 🗞
🔥 The Hill ran a breathless article yesterday about Democrats’ waning electoral hopes headlined, “Doomsday Midterm Election Scenario Takes Shape For Democrats.” I guess I should have said, it ran ANOTHER breathless article about Democrats’ waning election hopes.
They stretched a little too far this time. This one gave away the game: the democrats are running a fear psyop on their own base to try to motivate them to vote in November. This is what always happens on the left, it eventually turns its weapons against itself.
The headline got my attention — made me laugh actually — because of its remarkable resemblance to that Newsweek cover last year — “The Doomsday Virus.” They are running out of fear words. Or, they’re just good recyclers! They don’t want to clog the landfills with perfectly good words someone else could’ve repurposed, or something.
Displaying its mastery of the alchemy of manipulation, the article’s thesis sentence even modifies “doomsday” with “scarier”:
The midterm election doomsday scenario for Democrats is becoming clearer, scarier, and more real as inflation and gas prices remain stubbornly high and dissatisfaction with President Biden is through the roof.
A SCARIER doomsday scenario. As if doomsday isn’t scary enough.
But the jig was up when I read this poorly considered second sentence: “Democrats are seeing their chances of retaining the House slimmer than ever[.]”
Wait, what? Chances of retaining the House? That is literally their runaway BEST CASE SCENARIO. Barely retaining the House is NOT a doomsday scenario, however “slim” the odds are, so long as there remain ANY odds. The in-power party almost always loses the House in the first midterms. And this isn’t even a normal off-year election, in a way that heavily favors Republicans.
There is absolutely NOTHING alarming about having slim odds of keeping the House. Trump didn’t keep it. Obama didn’t. And it seems highly probable Joe won’t. So why is the Hill terrifying its liberal readers with a fake doomsday scenario?
A similar Politico article that ran two days ago was headlined, “House GOP Marches Into Deeper Blue Terrain as Dem Prospects Fade.” A weird coincidence.
And then I got it. All this fear porn about Joe’s unpopularity, the angst among activists, the polls showing dems don’t want him to run again — it’s all a massive psyop to freak out democrat voters so they turn out in November. The internal polling must show horrible apathy from dems right now. So some deranged genius decided they need the liberal media establishment to turn against Biden so regular voters will get mad and vote.
See, they’re scaring Democrats by invoking a “doomsday scenario” — but not scaring them TOO much. If they’d said it looked “impossible” to keep the House, which is much more accurate, then voters might think they don’t even NEED to vote, because, what difference does it make anyway? So the manipulative game — just like with covid — is to terrify them but offer them a little bit of hope.
I can’t believe I missed it with all those other articles. Nobody’s really turning against Joe Biden. The mendacious leftist media is a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive lying machine. It NEVER tells the truth.
🔥 Making my point, Fox News ran a related article yesterday headlined, “Fox News Power Rankings: GOP Expected to Take Control of House.”
The story analyzes the races and finds that Republicans will almost certainly retake the House in November. As expected.
In contrast to the Hill’s “doomsday” article, Fox used a data-packed race-by-race model, whereas the Hill didn’t mention a single Congressional race by name. Fox’s article is packed with numbers, facts, and voter survey results. The Hill’s article is mostly about national polls unfavorable to Biden — who isn’t even on the ticket in November.
So.
🔥 This next story is literally unbelievable but I promise I’m not making this up. Apparently feeling empty because people aren’t as terrified of covid as they used to be, the City of New York ran a completely bonkers public service announcement yesterday on HOW TO SURVIVE A NUCLEAR ATTACK.
The PSA is about a minute long and offers helpful tips like, hey, get inside, close those windows, brush off all the radioactive debris, and, I’m not making this up, check for updates online. Because the internet will still be working or something.
Apart from its utter uselessness, I have a few other quibbles with the advice. What about masks?? Are you telling me that after all this, they missed the low-hanging fruit of telling people to wear their covid masks to filter out radioactive dust and stuff? Come on, New York, think!
The funniest part is how it ends. “You’ve got this!”, the chipper spokeslady promises. Nuclear bombs, meh! Give us sixty seconds and you’ll be all good when the nuclear holocaust comes.
I know it’s tempting to fret that hey, Joe Biden is stirring up all the nuclear powers against us like he’s doing it ON PURPOSE. And the Russians and Chinese appear to be massing right below our wide-open southern border, like they’re getting ready to invade after softening us up with some strategic first strikes. Can we even trust Biden to remember where he put the nuclear codes? He can’t even sit on a stationary bicycle.
But don’t take the bait! Despite all the news of wars and rumors of wars, we’re not even CLOSE to what we went through last millennium.
Here’s a pic from a 1960’s nuclear public service announcement, back when we REALLY knew how to make it through the bomb. I vaguely remember doing some of these drills in the 1970’s when I was in grade school, and watching grainy propaganda films about post-strike survival tactics. New York City is an amateur. They even forgot to tell people not to look right at the blast because it will fry your retina and then you’ll be blindly groping around the apocalypse.
According to The Washington Times, “by 1960, nearly 70 percent of American adults thought that nuclear war was imminent. By 1965, an estimated 200,000 shelters were built—but that’s just an estimate. It’s hard to know exactly, because people didn’t talk.”
We’re still far from that point.
And people have been quietly building bunkers ever since. It never stopped. The thing is, if you HAVE a bunker, you don’t want anybody else to know about it. You can’t accommodate pop-ins or guests. There’s even one company in Europe that can quietly install a nuclear bunker in your backyard in under 45 days from ordering: https://nuclearbunkercompany.com
So, PLEASE don’t fall for all this fear porn. True, we had a nice reprieve for a few decades — not from the reality of nuclear war but the constant fear porn about it. Now NYC is either trying to bring nuclear fearmongering back, for some reason, with its sixty seconds of tepid suggestions lacking any practical value, or they’re just trying to normalize the notion of imminent nuclear war again because fightin’ Joe Biden is bringing us to the brink.
Either way it’s nonsense. I should say, MORE nonsense.
🔥 Finally! Yesterday, a Louisiana federal judge ordered Joe Biden, federal agencies, and Twitter to turn over records showing government collaboration with Twitter about “disinformation,” which would be a clear violation of the First Amendment. The government isn’t allowed to interfere with free speech — even indirectly. It’s not a minor case, either — the plaintiff is the State of Missouri.
This case is long overdue.
💉 Despite being an ISLAND, with 100% control of its borders and all travel in and out of the country, despite universal mask mandates, and one of the highest jab and booster rates in the world, thanks to its Stalinesque jab coercion policies, New Zealand’s covid death rate has climbed to the highest level since the pandemic started:
Experts, oddly, are baffled. New Zealand should probably boost harder.
Kiwis, you might be wanting some answers from your leaders right about now. This wasn’t supposed to happen.
🔥 Totally predictably, the world’s economic woes are spreading like a bad case of monkeypox. A cheerful National Review article yesterday bore the happy headline, “Sri Lanka’s Collapse Points to Global Gloom.” Whoops.
The article describes an eerily predictive Reuters piece from early March, quoting a Sri Lankan farmer:
“I cannot recall any time in the past when we had to struggle so much to get a decent harvest,” said [W. M.] Seneviratne, a lean 65-year-old with a shock of silver hair, who has been farming since he was a child. “Last year, we got 60 bags from these two acres. But this time it was just 10,” he added.
With fertilizer: sixty bags of rice. Without fertilizer: ten. Who could’ve seen THAT coming? Not the experts.
In April, the Guardian ran a story including this quote:
“We are a tropical country full of rice paddies and banana plantations, but because of this stupid fertilizer ban, now we don’t even have enough food to feed ourselves,” said Rajith Keerthi Tennakoon, 52, former governor of the southern province. “We have had past economic crises, security crises, but never in Sri Lanka’s history have we had a food crisis.”
Sri Lanka’s government has managed within about a year to destroy one of the best economies in the region. In 2019, the tourist-friendly island nation’s gross domestic product was double that of India’s. Now, two years later, it’s basically a failed state.
Also yesterday, the Wall Street Journal ran an article headlined, “Sri Lanka Crisis Flashes Warning for Other Indebted Economies.” Noting that Sri Lanka defaulted on its national debt in June, the Journal looked around and observed that a bunch of other small countries are in the same boat with Sri Lanka:
Countries such as [Laos,] Zambia and Lebanon are already in the grip of crises and are seeking international help to provide loans or restructure their debts, while Pakistan’s new government, which came to power in April, says that it narrowly averted a debt default in recent weeks, driven by a soaring fuel-import bill.
Pakistan is a little more worrisome than the others, since it’s a 165-warhead nuclear power. Despite that, Pakistan faces runaway national debt; skyrocketing cost of foreign imports; a collapsing currency; falling exports; food shortages, fuel shortages, and medicines shortages; it’s looking for rescue from the International Monetary Fund without any negotiating leverage; and it is relying on a fatuous economic recovery plan calling for people to drink less tea and export donkeys to China.
Here’s the key takeaway: all of these problems are SELF-INFLICTED by governments. We aren’t facing droughts, solar flares, tsunamis or other natural disasters. This is a human disaster. It’s a disaster caused by woke leftist termites who’ve burrowed into governments and hollowed them out, consuming all their intellectual substance.
The silver lining is that a global crisis might be the only thing that could create the circumstances necessary for exterminators to deal with the termite problem. The termites can check in, but they can’t check out. I’ll write more about this soon.
🔥 Speaking of self-inflicted injuries, Breitbart ran a story yesterday headlined, “Despite Record Prices, California Cities Ban New Gas Stations to Fight Climate Change.” Of course.
Petaluma, California — along with four other Bay-area cities — have outright banned the construction of all new gas stations. Because climate change.
So.
🔥 A Rasmussen tweet this week compared voters’ top issues to media’s top issues, and guess what they discovered?
That’s right! Not a single one of the media’s top five issues is even in the voters’ top TEN issues. The media loves climate change, Ukraine, January 6th, covid, and trans talk. Voters are worried about gas prices, inflation, the economy, crime, election integrity, schools, abortion, cheating, and immigration.
It’s so weird! It’s almost like the media is trying to change the subject or something. Oh well. It’s probably just a conspiracy theory, don’t listen to me.
🔥 The long knives are now coming out for French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron, who recently publicly confronted Joe Biden over his insane energy strategy. It’s a complicated psudeo-scandal based on suddenly leaked text messages between Macron and ride-sharing Uber company executives, related to a recent French political battle between Uber and traditional taxi services.
Macron was supporting Uber or something, and people are supposed to be mad about that, but that’s not the story. The story is, another European leader that is not completely aligned with the U.S. now finds himself under attack via “leaked” private communications. Coincidentally.
The Guardian’s story about the leaked texts is headlined “Emmanuel Macron Secretly Aided Uber Lobbying Drive in France, Leak Reveals.” The hit-piece article rants on for about ten pages. It’s the longest story I’ve had to read all year. There was a lot to talk about because the media got a LOT of Macron’s private stuff. Texts, call logs, voice mails.
Who has the juice to get hold of all those private communications and leak them to reporters? The Guardian isn’t saying.
It’s a nice prime ministership you have there. It would be a shame if anything bad happened to it.
🔥 As the final whiffs of natural gas wheeze out of the Western end of the Nordstream-1 pipeline, cracks are appearing in the Ukraine war alliance. A headline in the UK Express yesterday explains, “Brussels Bloc Plunged Into Chaos as Germans Accused of Blocking €9BN Ukraine Aid Package.” Uh oh.
The Express says an Italian source disclosed that Germany just blocked a $9 billion Ukraine aid package, “is preparing to violate some sanctions against Moscow in order to obtain more gas supplies from Russia through Nord Stream pipelines,” and Germany has reportedly refused to deliver high-tech tanks to Ukraine.
Weird. It’s almost like the Germans don’t want to be Sri Lanka’d or something.

Government and healthcare are deadly bedfellows. I wrote this way back in 2014 when we thought Obamacare was the worst thing that could happen to us. In light of the events of the past two weeks, oh wait, did I say two weeks? I meant two years…and four months…it sure takes on an even more ominous tone. How many funerals has that government “healthcare” via the CDC and Marxist lawmakers caused?
•If the government provides you with healthcare, then the government is in charge of your healthcare.
•If the government is in charge of your healthcare, then the government decides what healthcare you receive.
•If the government decides what healthcare you receive, the government controls whether you live or die.
•If the government controls whether you live or die, then you don’t have healthcare. You have a funeral.
Now, in a completely contradictory tone, here’s a wonderful verse that jumped out at me last night:
“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
— 2 Timothy 4:18
Today’s Operation Multiplier is personal! So thrilled to support this organization! Thank you and them for all they are doing! As an employee of a federal contractor threatened with losing my job, thankfully have an approved exemption on file, I can’t wait until this nonsense finally ends. Money well spent!
