They were never meant to save us. They were designed to be the weakest of the three branches of government as the Founders feared the high court systems their forefathers had fled. The Legislature was to make laws and the President was to see that the laws were carried out as ascribed to the Constitution and amendments. Sadly, the Congress has become nothing more than a money machine, beholden only to their lobbyists. The present resident is nothing more than a walking potato, while the huge bureaucracy cranks out laws and regulations with abandonment.
At the end of the day, the Supreme Court pretty much always side with big business interests, which is important considering the merger of state and corporate capital...
I listen to Viva & Barnes each Sunday evening (Rumble & Locals); Barnes has some pretty spicy comments and interesting tidbits about the Supreme Court over the decades as well as the Constitution. He is a strict constitutionalist and his perspectives don’t always match what we often hear from conservative side of the media. One thing I have heard repeatedly from him and others is that SCOTUS has been left leaning for at least a century.
I didn’t pay much attention to SCOTUS until the last 15 years, I didn’t really understand how crucial it was to our daily lives.
It’s going to take generations to undo the damage that has been done the last hundred years. Local!
It's coming...the stark and cold realization that the supremes are just part of the government. They are not going to save us.

Isn't it interesting how the vision of a potato can have two contrasting meanings: feeding one for a season and leading one into oblivion.

It would open a giant can of worms against Big Pharma and they are very powerful (and rich). It won't be easy to bring them down.
Lobbying is evil
Agree
You mean REAL fascism?
YES
Agree.
The problem is the Supremes are human, and except for few exceptions, are cowards who cave to physical threats to themselves and their families.
