well it will help if we quit undermining their countries, sending the military in to quash 16 cent pay raises in Haiti, stealing resources, assassinating rightful leaders (who the hell are we to police election fraud?) and installing our puppets, color revolutions and unlimited arms, training their dictators at cia school for assassins https://ciaschool.tripod.com and on and on and on.

We need to abolish the CIA. The CIA does nothing good and kills many people..

Some were not "invaders" but human trafficked here for labor with the promise of high wages. The Haitians in Springfield, Ohio (and other small towns)were given legal status so they can work. The Dole plant hired them for $12/hr. The trafficker is taking advantage of them by owning the homes they live in where they get only a cot to rent with 20+ to a home. Those that are freeloaders need to go, but those that are working can't just be deported in mass or you will have a labor issue and supply shortages and chicken, egg and other food prices soaring. I'm sure corporations employing them will negotiate to keep them here.

If I remember correctly, the citizens that worked at the Dole plant made $16/hr. So, lets see here, looks like Dole is making an additional $4/hr per illegal hired, with no reduction in price to consumers. 🤔 So, citizens can't get jobs, because the illegals are getting them for a lower wage, landlords are raising the prices on housing and kicking citizens out so illegals can move in, the illegals can buy arms and ammo with no background checks, while getting free food and additional money from the government. F Dole!

Do I recall that landlords are getting paid a certain dollar amount per immigrant housed in their rental? I'd like to see the rent differential.

Breaking the law has consequences. If the government wouldn't be handing out all the free ones so people don't have work, filling jobs wouldn't be an issue.

I'm sorry but they are here illegally. They do not learn the language nor do they assimilate into our country but try to make our country like the country try they left.

Right. Get enough of them in one place and they'll never assimilate. They just recreate the countries they left with their own language, customs, culture and religion.

No, there’s no labor shortage at all, plenty of Americans would love those jobs.

Maybe not where you are, but there are manufacturing plants, restaurants, and other around me who cant hire enough. We need to bring back manufacturing to the US, and we will need even more to work. When Social Security was created, it was 40:1. Now it is 2.8:1 and the life expectancy went from 65 to 75. That's not sustainable.

Gotta disagree. Until a few years ago, I was of the opinion we should simplify our immigration system to allow more in. (I even represented a "Dreamer" who's illegal parents brought him here as an infant.)

But that was then, this is now.

I demand Mass Deportations. Get out, NOW!

Reasonable Horses's avatar

Yes, "mass deportation" sounds like a sales pitch. Deport the criminals, but face the fact that many won't be leaving, are not violent criminals, and will make great Americans once they figure out and follow the rules. That's our nation-of-immigrants reality.

BUT it sets the precedent that illegal behavior is justified.

Agreed. The ones who brought them here need to be prosecuted. Each situation is different, but in Ohio, the immigrants are victims themselves. I hope this investigation leads to a precedent being set. I believe Springfield was chosen for a reason:

You are correct. This country has opened the doors to them, they are now integral in our construction, service and overall economy and culture.

We will give Dems SO much power to show our “hate” if we mass deport good people.

✅Criminals yes, absolutely, be gone.

✅Close the border tight to new people, yes absolutely.

✅Stop the madness.

But we are deluding ourselves if we think clearing out towns of honest hardworking people is going to play well.

Wouldn’t YOU try for a better life if the President said come on in folks?!

Can’t blame the good people, got to blame the politicians who allowed this mess. It would be enough to just stop the incoming flow and filter out the bad actors and identify people, we don’t even know who is here & you can’t by cold meds without ID.

Common sense needs to prevail.

I do think thousands of criminals will be rounded up, but it’s inconceivable to me that we can find, sort out, and ship off 15-20 million human beings who just want to blend in and build new lives. God works in mysterious ways, and sometimes He works right under our noses to fulfil His purpose. We’re called to love our neighbors and make disciples, and here they are. We have the unprecedented opportunity to bring millions to Christ. The election was a miraculous blessing, and in gratitude and to our calling, we are to follow in His footsteps and make disciples. I think we should roll up our sleeves. “Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:38).

every illegal alien in the country is a criminal by U.S. immigration law. By what right do illegal aliens have to enter the U.S. illegally and be accepted? Why is the U.S. obligated to feed, house, educate and provide medical treatment basically for life for illegal aliens? Sooner rather than later the illegals will destroy the U.S.

I don't support illegal immigration. I'm as outraged as anybody over the govt opening the border and blowing my tax dollars to support Illegals. I'm not advocating for NOT deporting them. I'm apparently just doing a poor job of making a simple point. You and I can't deport anybody, so if we're stuck with them, we'd be faithful to God's calling and practical to our own benefit if we make Christian Americans out of them.

They do not assimilate into our country. They broke the law. Come in legally just like our ancestors and millions have done.

Expand full comment
Reasonable Horses's avatar

Not that we should feel guilty, but our ancestors broke the laws of millions of American Indians. Just pointing out that populations shift historically and for all kinds of reasons. This was for bad reasons, but it’s our reality, and we can make the most of it. What if God gave us an opportunity to make disciples of people we could have never reached otherwise?

When our ancestors first came to North America, there were no immigration laws, no welfare, no free medical, housing or anything else free. There were warring Indian tribes who fought among themselves and took land when they could.

Reasonable Horses's avatar

I don't for one second support illegal immigration and handouts. But I can't accept the notion that they were dumb brutes and we were more powerful, therefore they had to give up their land. American Indians didn't accept that either.

wilson's avatar

No one said they were “dumb brutes.” Intertribal warfare was normal. The Natives ran into a stronger tribe is all. I don’t know much about the east coast except for a bit, what happened a Ft Mims, French and Indian war, there was an alliance to drive out the Europeans in the late 17th century that failed. I do know a fair amount about the Apache and Comanche wars. Look up how those two tribes tortured, killed and raped. I doubt if the roles were reversed they would have been as magnanimous to their enemies. I doubt if they would have given Europeans their own essentially sovereign nations (reservations} and enormous amounts of welfare. There is a story Crazy Horse told Gen Crook the Black Hills belong to the Sioux. Crook asked, where did you get them? Crazy Horse replied we took them from the Cheyenne.

Reasonable Horses's avatar

Warfare, torture, killing, rape, and theft define dumb brutes. The Apache and Comanche won the title in 19th century Texas, but the dynamic is complex. I’m sure you know 16th century adventurers and conquistadors were appalled by cannibalism and were extremely harsh in efforts to stamp it out. Word got out among natives in New Spain. and reactions set the stage for Indian opposition for centuries. Are you familiar with the Valladolid Debate, 1550-51? They never resolved the critical issue, “gold and glory or God and glory.”

But we’re far afield from my original point: Yes, deport. Yes, make disciples for Christ where we have opportunities.

war may be for brutes but I for one, am glad that there were “brutes” at the battles of Tours in 732 and Vienna in 1683 and quite a few other historical engagements. Best of luck in your conversion efforts.

they don't assimilate. They don't care or have any interest or ability to learn American history, culture, language and make racial enclaves like China towns, muslim towns, Mexican towns etc. All they do is draw welfare. they are a burden and cost billions of dollars per year. Diversity isn't a strength, it's a cause of disunity, disruption and destruction. Nation of immigrants never meant third world illegal aliens have the right to come to the USA. Until the 1965 immigration act anyway. Which was done on purpose by guess who?
