I watched the last half of Trump’s rally in the Bronx yesterday evening. Wow! It occurred to me that his forced presence in this heavily blue area may be a God send which creates a tsunami of newfound support for him. People may be seeing the real man and hearing his message for the first time, rather than the repeated lies and propaganda about him.
I’ll confess, I did not see this coming from the witch hunt trial currently taking place. It looks very much like a case of life giving you lemons and making lemonade from it.
God can certainly bring about unintended consequences! This looks like a boomerang effect; what they intended to damage Trump is actually making him more popular!
I always say that the other side thinks they are smarter than they really are, and that we are dumber than we really are. Thus they often miscalculate and expect things to go a certain way because they don’t really understand people who are not like them. And they’re so convinced that they are smarter than everyone else that they never consider they might be going about things the wrong way. So much the better for us!
Trump is demonstrating leadership and strength and determination under unfair and unjust attack, attacks that most of his supporters have experienced in at least some small and similar way. He is earning respect and admiration from people that realize he didn't have to subject himself to this treasonous treatment. But he did, because he believes it's the right thing to do for the country.
