I know if you go back on to either Facebook or messenger you have to start the 30 day waiting period to cancel over again 🙄

Sooo, you can’t go back to see if your account was actually deleted? Because they actually don’t delete, and then will re-activate, so to speak?

I canceled mine as well, and never wanted to go back to verify it is gone (or as gone as possible) for precisely this concern.

I deleted my account. After 2 months I tried to log in to see if it was really deleted, and it was. Although I’m sure my info is still in the possession of FB, which isn’t much since I posted so little personal info. But they have all my connections to other people which is creepy.

Agreed. Had facecrap once. Even though I had privacy buttons on I’d get all this stuff from people I frankly could not care less about. People who had Facecrap diarrhea. It’s gone now after I rarely posted or liked anything.
