Jeff, I wake up excited to read your daily newsletter! My GF & I had urban chickens for the past 4 years. They were wonderful! We ended up enjoying them in a pot of Pho. It’s a long story…ultimately we sold our house; therefore our chickens would have been homeless if we didn’t eat them. It was difficult but necessary. And it was a respectful tribute to their dedicated service. They stopped laying after about 3.5 years anyways…We loved our chicken door almost as much as our chickens. Please research something called https://www.ladiesfirstchickendoor.com/ . I do not have any affiliation with them but the door never failed to keep our chickens safe!…and the chickens figured out when they had to go to their roost at night…and they always appreciated the door opening in the morning. Most of all, we appreciated it too!
