One minor point Jeff. The U.S. is a representative constitutional republic. It’s the libs who think we’re a democracy 😉

Mine too. We are not, nor ever were…or ever will be a Democracy. John Adam’s was very serious when he said that “Democracies always murder themselves.”

Yes, constitutionally we were set up that way. But ever since, the Constitution has been progressively watered down and now just plain ignored. Especially at the federal level, we are effectively for all intents and purposes, a democracy. Research all the changes that have been made since then. Just one example, the direct election of Senators.

YES!!!’

True democracy is mob rule; the one with the most votes rule. Majority.

Our wise founders protected the minority in ways a majority ruling “democracy” would never do.
