Absolutely agree - since the shot roll out, I preface discussions about those I know who took the shot with "people I once thought were smart..." One of our sons, who is probably the least intelligent of our kids, had to make a decision very early about the shot for work and he was able, just using his gut, to cover his tracks and avoid having to take the poison while still keeping his job. Thankfully none of our kids took the poison which I will not attribute to their intelligence but merely lack of trust in government and common sense - something that is definitely missing in many of these "smart" folks. Just as the left absconds with words definitions to suit their purpose, maybe it is time for us to return to a true definition of smart...

I think part of it is the arrogance that can go hand in hand with the knowledge that a person has (or believes him/herself to have), a certain level of intelligence. They assume things and trust people they believe are like them without having any afterthoughts about it.
