At the orthopedist with daughter, they require masks. I made a big show of telling them that all my used dirty masks were in my other car and I refuse to buy any, so if they wanted me masked, they'd have to provide them. If I'm playing along, it's grudgingly.

At least where I live, the doctors offices that still have the "masks required" signs don't even REALLY require it. I had to get bloodwork a few months back, and after seeing the "masks required" sign I politely asked at the desk for a mask when I was checking in, since I haven't carried masks for over a year now. She seemed surprised but did look around and find one for me. Then I turned around and noticed nobody else in the waiting room was wearing one. So, I really think -- at least where I live -- even when they're in an environment where they're supposed to require them, they're making it clear by their actions they actually respect your choice to wear or not wear one. I do, however, feel horrible for the employees who are sometimes still required to wear masks all day at their jobs.
