But then I saw a report from a rapping comic in Russia who riffed a few lines against Putin's war to a crowd of near zero on a street.
They sent a SWAT-like team to his apartment, beat him and dragged him to a police station. Then they raped him with a metal pipe.
His girlfriend in the apartment was pleading they stop beating him. They took her aside and threatened to rape her too.
The stories I've heard out of Ukraine in the liberated areas is even worse.
On Putin State TV, the RT guy talked with a smile about drowning Ukrainian children in a river and that grandmothers should feel lucky that Russian soldiers would rape them.
Many Americans are simply incapable of understanding Putin's Russia and the implications for any nation/person who comes under his control.
