I will happily donate the maximum number of chainsaws allowed under law to any candidate who makes the Mieli pledge.

Chainsaws should be the new anti-establishment symbol in the "Normal" world.

.........

On another note, Tucker's interview with Alex Jones is off the charts. Jones has been the canary in the coal mine for years!

The only successful Sci-Fi (now SyFy, because there is no science at all on that channel) movie they ever made was Sharknado, which was a ridiculous but absolutely hysterical story of a man with a chainsaw fighting sharks that fell out of tornadoes. The sharks did uncool things like terrorize a busload of children. He was having none of it. I seem to see an off the wall paralell here, certainly I'm betting there were "sharks" and they were most definitely terrorizing everyone, including children I'm sure, in Argentina. I like their new president and we need someone that off the rails here. The libs would go insane. (P.S. I have no beef with actual sharks that swim in the ocean. They are less dangerous than leftist politicians.)

Alex Jones is out there but I admire his refusal to keep his mouth shut.

Ah, the classic Sharknado, produced by Asylum Films. They went on to make many more ‘classics,’ including a movie I worked on in NC: “American Battleship.” It’s okay if you missed this gem, although the actor Carl Weathers, from ‘Rocky’ was a joy to work with … 😊

No no. It is a horrendous movie … low budget to the max. Even my son, an adolescent at the time said, “Mom! I can’t even watch this movie to the end!”

You provided a walk down memory lane with your mention of Asylum Films. I still chuckle at the title of one of their films: “Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies!”

Perhaps they were ahead of their time: it certainly fits our current government.

You might earn some coin by cutting a deal to lease the Asylum Films catalog to The History Channel ....

I'd really like Milei to be what he says for once. But we're all chastened by the many mirage's of brave freedom-supporting leaders so I'll withhold my endorsement pending future action.

Two data points about him make me leery, on top of his WEF legacy..

- He met with Bill Clinton and Clinton world in NY when he visited last week.

- Ukraine's tyrant and Deep State puppet Zelensky attended his installation ceremony.

The jury is still out. But possesses that adverse information about the defendant. As more evidence is presented this juror is diligently taking it all in.

PG Wodehouse once had Jeeves tell Bertie Wooster that he had attended a communist meeting because "it is useful to know what tune the devil is whistling". I wonder if this is why Milei went to the WEF.

Freedom Fox's avatar

I do consider that as a possibility for some of those who've indulged the WEF universe. From personal experience I've done intellectual reconnaissance of those I've considered malefactors since I was a preteen. I'd listen to Radio Moscow at night on my AM radio, the broadcasts coming from Havana were easy to tune in at my home in Miami. I was a regular listener. Not because I was an aspiring Marxist. But because I wanted to know why I had enemies, what they thought and had to say about my home. It was that experience where I learned about propaganda, how propagandists take a small truth and create a large fiction out of it. I was able to see in real time the world my eyes observed and listen to a false interpretation of it and note the disparities, where the truth was twisted. I also began to tune in to TASS evening news carried by my local PBS station following the national network news broadcasts. And I'd read Pravda newspapers in my local library when we went there for family night. Same reason. To know what tune the devil was whistling.

I fell back into the practice of tuning into the propaganda of our adversaries in early 2020. I'd read Global Times and China Daily, both official mouthpieces of the CCP, for information on the pandemic, the global response, how they were reacting the US response. And it turns out that what they were writing about it was more accurate than what our own government and media was telling us. Not only did it make more logical sense at the time, but in hindsight it was largely the truth of it. Like travel bans not working to control respiratory viral outbreaks.

Reconnaissance of them saying that travel bans politicize infectious disease, nation's blaming other nations for something they have no control of leads to nation's leaders blaming their people for something they have no control of - which was lifted straight from the WHO's own pre-2020 pandemic planning guides. With the understanding that such blame-shifting would lead to a loss of the liberties and freedoms that western liberal democracies valued. But that if that's they way the US and west wanted to approach the pandemic the world would get to see the differences between the competing systems of governance. And that while western liberal democracies are more innovative and creative in normal times than collectivist authoritarian ones, that in times of crisis the people will prefer the protective strong hand of government to lead them through it. And while they believed their system was better suited for a health emergency that western systems would be well-advised to stick with their system of governance until the crisis passed. Unnecessarily disturbing that which works for a society in an emergency leads to division and strife that distracts from efforts to protect the population from greater harms. If the US and west wanted to adopt China's governing system they should wait until the crisis had passed. Basically, "dance with the one who brung ya," advice.

And they said that antivirals along the lines of Ivermectin and HCQ were proving to be very effective in early treatment.

Sometimes an adversary will tell you uncomfortable truths that your own government won't. Especially when your own government has become propagandists who consider their own citizens an enemy that needs to be propagandized. But unless you're willing to step outside your paradigm, the cage your mind has been living in you'll never hear information that you'd be better off hearing.

The key is discernment. Getting as much information from all sources you can, including from those who don't think like you and your circle and discerning what is useful and what isn't is how we make the best decisions we can. God gave each of us that wonderful gift, that most important gift to navigating a world full of fallen men spreading deception for their own agendas. Perhaps Senor Milei is doing just that. The evidence will be in his actions, not just his words we receive well.

And we'll see how he decides to lead the people of Argentina who voted for what he represented. If his actions fit his words. And if they don't then how will the people of Argentina respond? We and they can only hope he acts in accordance with his words.

I just saw this clip of Zelenskyy in Argentina. First cornering Hungary's PM Orban (a pragmatic leader not rushing in lockstep with Ukraine's foolish war). Then greeting, hugging Milei. The point of contention.

https://youtu.be/qYN8veMHs0g

BUT...

There was additional context towards the end of the video after the hug. Milei presented Zelenskyy with a Menorah in recognition of Hanukkah this week. Zelenskyy is purportedly Jewish. Not devout, but Jewish. We know that Jews are targeted for hate crimes, are beaten, killed by Ukrainian Nazi's, a large part of Ukraine's population. The celebrated and glorified Azov battalion full Nazi. Who Zelenskyy speaks glowingly of, Nazi's and Jews, not thought of as friends.

With that background and suspicions that Zelenskyy isn't all that Jewish after all, supports Nazi's himself, for him to receive a Menorah is a brilliant bit of trolling by Milei. Forcing Zelenskyy to uncomfortably accept a very symbolic gift, large enough for the cameras to capture in the images of them together going back to Ukraine. And the message that sends back to Ukrainian Nazi's supporting Zelenskyy. Brilliant trolling! Milei set clownish tyrant puppet up for that money shot! Most Western audiences would miss that. Ukrainians won't. Bravo!

I know, right? I saw that Tucker interview, I've seen a lot about him that I'm glad he's saying. But those are two data points worth filing, yellow caution flags. Which is ok. Honestly we should view all new players with the same caution. We can, as Reagan said, "Trust but verify." Wise counsel.
