I absolutely loved that Fareed segment. Thank you - you made my day!

When I was still on facebook, I was "friended" with my former best friend from Junior High. She is now a college-level professor of "English Rhetoric." Early in 2020, even before the lockdowns, she started down the Covidiot pathway. I made a comment on one of her posts about germaphobes (wide-eyed masked wonders) showing up at the grocery stores. My former "friend" immediately broadcasted to her 100's of followers that she had "MUTED" this "asshat."

To say she had turned into someone who only accepted her own point of view would be a massive understatement.

I sympathize with you guys. I come from a long-line of right-wing wackos, married a fellow conservative nutjob, work in a results-oriented hard engineering environment, attend a biblical born-again church, have my kids in a biblical school, and don't have social media accounts. I *never* experience these people aside from a few isolated incidents. If it weren't from hearing other people's stories I wouldn't know they existed.

Count my blessings I guess. If I had to deal with this on a regular basis I'd pull my hair out.

I worked at the University of Florida for some years and learned to keep my mouth shut in conversation with almost everybody there, from students to staff. The president of school was an appeaser of the Left. Ben Sasse is now president and the liberal Marxist faculty and student body is squirming, whining about conservative changes.

Most of us (I believe) see these blighted souls as our mission field. We toil on with forbearance and generosity (albeit with frequent confrontations)sustained by God’s grace and the confidence that there are a number of God’s elect hidden within mind-locked liberal demography who have the potential to experience the liberating epiphany promised in the gospel message....at least that is what keeps me moving toward the front lines of the culture war. The root issue is really one’s response to Christ’s claim that He is Lord rather than one’s stated position on the political spectrum.

My biggest and best argument I have against their lunacy is I am still alive and well and healthy. I blow up their provaxx arguments. I am the elephant 🐘 in the room. Corn pop lied.

She might end up on the "died suddenly" list soon if she took multiple jabs.

I was still on Facebook back when covid reared its false and ugly head. (I used Facebook for family photos and work-related jobs) I was, silly me, shocked by the illogical and nasty replies posted when I dared to ridicule and belittle covid policies.

Much happier being off that toxic platform.

I had to “unfollow “ a whole bunch of people so I didn’t see their posts. That way I could still see my gardening groups, etc $ people who weren’t virtue signaling the day long. I am thankful I withstood all that and never wavered from my decision- My question is why supposed educated people were so ignorant of information I could easily find that made me question?
