"We should do the same thing here! I’d like to volunteer the full U.S. security state, the whole CDC, 90% of the FDA, the entire NIH, the Department of Energy, the EPA, and the Department of Education as initial cutting candidates here in America. That could be a good start. Start your chainsaws. Let’s goooooo!"

It’s simply getting back to the basics as clearly written in our United States Constitution which delegated very limited powers for the federal government, reserving those not delegated or prohibited to the respective states and the people. The entire department of Health and Human Services and all its subagencies such as the CDC, the NIH, and the FDA are unconstitutional. The entire federal Department of Education is unconstitutional. Imagine the impact on colleges if we didn’t have guaranteed federal student loans and federal grants to colleges and universities. Colleges would soon be affordable again, along with health care. We wouldn’t have had paid for gain of function research and Covid viruses would never have plagued us. A balanced federal budget would actually be attainable and we may even manage to pay off the federal debt. While some of this may seem draconian, the states could act on any of these issues if the citizens of the respective states so elected. Just because something has been in existence for decades and may have seemed to be well-intentioned when first initiated does not now make it constitutional, hence legal. The issue on our southern border is a clear example of the failure of our federal government, all three derelict branches, to enforce the Constitution. Article IV, Section 4 β€œThe United States SHALL protect each of them [states] against invasion ...”. We desperately need to get back to the basic principles clearly enumerated in our Constitution and elect people who can read English, understand it, and will actually live up to their sworn oath to support and enforce our Constitution.

They certainly were never delegated the power to make it illegal to buy an incandescent light bulb, for crying out loud 🀬

I am going through thrift stores buying old ugly lamps for the incandescent bulbs in them.

I meant to and have been kicking myself that I didn’t. I’m waiting for a black market to spring up! I remember reading several years ago that some European country that had outlawed them brought them back marketed as β€œheat balls.” They figured out that people were using more heat when their light bulbs stopped giving it. Or maybe that’s just how they were able to sidestep the regulations?? I absolutely loathe LED lights and they’re horrible for our eyes.

When I first worked in education in the late 70s, having proper lighting in the classrooms was paramount and there were regulations requiring it. But over the years, all that went away.

My first visit to the local library here in Jacksonville, nearly 20 years ago now, I went into the main reading room and wondered why the lights were out. Then I realized they had those stupid little Chinese lights. I wonder if there are studies in regards to damage to eye sight.

What a joke. Heat balls.

No kidding though. They do put out heat.

And yes, LEDs are horrible for eyes and for mental health.

Seriously - we used incandescent lights to keep the pipes from freezing in the winter.
