He did think about going to his union but that’s a dead end!

He was always getting awards for his division and the men/women he managed. He took on so many jobs when they stalled to hire new people (when someone retires or leaves they just pass that extra work from that job onto one of the current workers. Great way to save $)
He was Always ready to jump in and do all he could to get things done and efficiently.
He seemed to go from a hero to a zero by March 2021
Office mates and friends turned away as he stood his ground.
He did submit a religious exemption but in a year no one got back to him. They never answered his submission.
Eventually as the jabbing of everyone rolled out he had many coworkers whispering to him about a side effect they had from their jabs. Some injured and one with a family member passing immediately.
He sought out his higher ups to let them know and ask “are you recording what your workers are telling me and probably you??Is someone higher up than you hearing about this?!”

And that’s just covid. The stories of favoritism, wasted monies, bad military spending and jobs that make no sense or made up jobs abound.
So
We sold the house
Drove away.
And now seek out remote quiet places to detox from it all
Sometimes you just sit and stare into the desert going over it all. Pondering what the hell happened.
I know he wonders if anything has changed at a place he worked his tail off at.
As he always did in all jobs.
Navy, Coast Gaurd and this place.
He is an excellent writer like no other
So maybe someday we will set up a little outdoor table so he can scribble it all down.
I will say, as we traveled last year we have met so many wonderful random people out there.
If we share stories his is always met with complete awe. Eventually others as well share their stories of discrimination, being cut out from their family, ghosted, bullied, censored or fired.
I can’t tell you how many we’ve heard.
Besides all the stories we have just met so many wonderful nice people out here in this country. Be it at a gas pump, 7-11, campground, laundramat or at a campfire in the desert.
It has restored my faith somewhat that not everyone is mean, evil or nasty. Good people still circulate amongst us and well..... I’m trying to keep that thought close by for 2023 as we push on...
