Yep. My nephew overdosed and died on fentanyl. No one outside our family gave a damn.

Why would they? Sorry for your family's loss, But "someone" took the fentanyl. If people Want to die, then that's on them. If they take dangerous drugs or experimental drugs, that's on them.

People need to understand This Is War, and until they do, they will just keep on as usual normies bungling through life.

My nephew, Shaun, used cocaine, which was unknowingly laced with fentanyl. The latter killed him. Our family tried for years and spent literally thousands of dollars on therapy, rehab, etc. but Shaun had the same mental illness as another family member and was unable to help himself. The night he died, I had a nightmare. I can't remember what about, but I woke up and was terrified that someone was hurt. In my daze, I thought it was one of my animals, so I checked them all and when they were fine. His mother also woke up and told her husband that Shaun was at her front door. Her husband checked but of course he was not there. My brother also had a dream that Shaun was trying to call him. I think as he was dying, he was trying to call out to all of us in spirit, but none of us got the message clearly. The next morning, I was on FB and my brother posted that he had died. My knees gave out and I collapsed on the kitchen floor. That was 6 years and 7 months ago and it has never gotten easier.

My nephew didn't want to die. He battled addiction for years but wanted a future. People have a vision of drug users as low life scumballs who are weak minded and who want to hurt themselves.... that they could just stop if they only tried harder. I guess I used to think that way, too, but after watching Shaun try over and over and over and over to heal and not be able to, I saw things differently. I still miss him and always will, and I'm sorry that this all came out as a response to your post, but sometimes I still need to talk about it. Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry that your family has gone through this tragedy. So many families have dealt with the death of a loved one due to the fentanyl debacle. I personally know three family friends who are/have dealt with this - one young person overdosed and died this past year, one young person has been hospitalized twice in a near-death situation due to 1. overdosing/2. car crash while high, and one young person who is currently stabilized but he is in the vast minority. Heartbreaking, each and every one.
