Remember when our govt did more to stop the distribution of ivermectin and hydroxycloroquine than fetananyl?

Expand full comment

Asked my dr to prescribe HCQ and her response was "Our governor won't let us." Six months later, I repeated the request to learn "Mercy Medical won't allow it". I go in to her in a month and will ask again. If I get the same response, it will be time to find a new health care provider as my supply will be low.

Expand full comment

So basically, your doctor is really not your doctor. You should say, “well I guess you’re not my doctor then, it’s really the governor and Mercy Medical. You’re just a tech following their orders.” I bet that would make them mad 😬

Remember it is easy to make hydroxychloroquine even though fake news says it’s not the same... look it up and don’t forget about quercetin.

Expand full comment

Yeah, and it will go into your medical record. "Non-compliant" or as I was told 5 years ago, "medication resistant". My PCP who has now moved on to be a vascular surgeon, could not believe the report that my physical therapist wrote about my 3 month stint. The fact that PT was one of the only truly helpful treatments I've ever had did not occur to her. She was shocked. I'm PCPless now and it feels good.

Expand full comment

I hate that. “Non-compliant.” Like you’re a toddler or something. Very revealing that it is not a collaboration but a hierarchical relationship. Which I completely disagree with and I think is detrimental to care and outcomes, not to mention dignity.

Expand full comment

To be labeled “non-compliant” is in some ways like being labeled a racist. Dig below the surface and it’s almost always just a silly insult. We need to learn to ignore stuff like that. When I was in NP practice I always wrote “declined” rather than “refused” because it was less judgmental. Patients were the ultimate decision-makers in their care and I wanted the chart to reflect that.

Ha! Ha! 'non-compliant' - 'medication resistant' - 'denier' - and more. All euphemisms for SANE.

Went to heart doctor about 6 months ago just to get a baseline. My cholesterol was high, which I knew going in.

We chit-chatted and I point blank told him “I don’t like to take drugs, I try to not even take Advil if I can help it”.

He nodded his head and then told me “well, you need to go on statins and they’ve been proven to be beneficial and safe”.

Only reason I’ll go back is to discuss my stress test results, but I’m not taking a damn statin.

I have read some that eating grapefruit daily will fix high cholesterol, but I don’t know for sure. Anyway, I don’t trust them anymore, he should have worked on a plan with me that modified my diet and anything else that would naturally reduce it and let me live with the “risk” of it still be high.

All of the OTC meds I've ever seen have written somewhere on the packaging or insert not to take if you have xxxx disease, etc. It also says to talk to your doctor before taking any medications. So, they all say stuff like this. HCQ and IVM are VERY safe for most everyone, but some it isn't. Same can be said for Aspirin.

Yes it is true most drugs have lengthy warnings (except mRNA with "intentionally left blank") but as someone who has a lengthened QT interval, I don't rely upon my doctor to decide if I should take a drug which can give me SADS.

The majority of pharms are manufactured in countries other than the U.S. so, don't get too overly concerned about where it is shipped from. Did I hear that Tennessee made IVM available over the counter?

Expand full comment

I called 4 pharmacies in one city last week so can’t apply this to the entire state. I asked if they had OTC IVM. All said no.

The possibilities?

- They legit don’t have it

- They might have some in-person requirement to respond in the affirmative?

- They might deny having it and not mention the (possible) in-person requirement for requesting it?

- As @KatLee says, they might have a requirement for some form to be filled out and not mention such when a phone inquiry is made?

- Other?

I question not the intent of the new law (to make IVM available OTC) but the execution by pharmacies/pharmacists. Is there availability-fixing afoot? I don’t know. I just found it interesting -and frustrating- to hit a dead end.

Expand full comment

Also, just read this “ The bill states that a pharmacist can provide Ivermectin to a patient, who is 18 years of age or older, “pursuant to a valid collaborative pharmacy practice agreement containing a non-patient-specific prescriptive order and standardized procedures developed and executed by one or more authorized prescribers.”

That means that adults can explain their symptoms to the pharmacist, fill out a sheet listing any preexisting conditions and other medications they are taking, and the pharmacist can determine the right dosage.”

My nephew, Shaun, used cocaine, which was unknowingly laced with fentanyl. The latter killed him. Our family tried for years and spent literally thousands of dollars on therapy, rehab, etc. but Shaun had the same mental illness as another family member and was unable to help himself. The night he died, I had a nightmare. I can't remember what about, but I woke up and was terrified that someone was hurt. In my daze, I thought it was one of my animals, so I checked them all and when they were fine. His mother also woke up and told her husband that Shaun was at her front door. Her husband checked but of course he was not there. My brother also had a dream that Shaun was trying to call him. I think as he was dying, he was trying to call out to all of us in spirit, but none of us got the message clearly. The next morning, I was on FB and my brother posted that he had died. My knees gave out and I collapsed on the kitchen floor. That was 6 years and 7 months ago and it has never gotten easier.

My nephew didn't want to die. He battled addiction for years but wanted a future. People have a vision of drug users as low life scumballs who are weak minded and who want to hurt themselves.... that they could just stop if they only tried harder. I guess I used to think that way, too, but after watching Shaun try over and over and over and over to heal and not be able to, I saw things differently. I still miss him and always will, and I'm sorry that this all came out as a response to your post, but sometimes I still need to talk about it. Thanks for listening.

All of us have become so complacent , pampered, comfortable , we've allowed the growth of the state to such a degree that politics has worked its way into every aspect of our lives.

THe proper gov reponse to covid was no response. All the things gov did that actually helped involved gov getting out of the way. Like allowing hospitals to hire out of state nurses, allowing GM to make ventilators, allowing distilleries to make hand sanitizer.

The growth of gov and state bureaucracy enabled this whole situation. The CDC and NIH have no reason to exsist, neither are justified under the constitution. The gov is not there to see to our health or provide healthcare or insurance. gov only ligit function is to protect rights and property

It is freakin' horrible - failure to complete an autopsy on an 18 year old, clearly fit as all hell - or anyone with similar circumstance - is simply an admission that they do NOT want to know anything.

Least of all, the truth.

And we all know how it works here, but to anyone new to the Covid & Coffee posts, "just tuning in to see how those anti-vaxxers spew mis/disinformation" - NO ONE here is laughing or making fun of the ghastly, sad deaths that we are seeing EVERYwhere............ but THAT is the point - they ARE happening everywhere, and we'd love someone/ANYONE cast a concerned eye in their general direction. Soon.

I'm not optimistic that we're out of the woods yet. To the normies, these are still rare incidents, while we've been watching this for a long time. I mean, consider how many people think they're informed because of what they read/see/hear from Farcebook, YouTube, Old Twitter, Google searches, LinkedIn, ad nauseam, ALL sources that have deliberately and repeatedly suppressed and censored any information contrary to The Regime's preferred narrative.

We have a lot of stupid, uninformed, ill-informed, ignorant people in America, and the sources that made them stupid, uninformed, ill-informed, and ignorant are STILL doing the things that made them that way. Almost nothing has changed in that regard over the past 3 years, save the emergence of New Twitter. Everything else chugs along unimpeded.

It DID happen *rarely* but to MEN at least in their 40’s who were mostly not healthy specimens. Not in their 20’s, elite athletes at their peak with yearly health checkups by team doctors *looking* for genetic heart problems. These people are smokin something if they think it’s all normal. It's astounding how many there are. I can tell you it was NOT like this before at any time I can remember. It wasn't happening. Sudden deaths were occasional, and shocking because they were so relatively rare. Doesn't everyone notice this??

I watched the Packers/Lions game last night and was worried the entire time wondering if we would witness another cardiac arrest like last weekend. Professional football will never be the same.

Expand full comment

Dr Peter McCullough was on the Highwire last week. His thoughtful analysis as a cardiologist leading the fight was appreciated. He said Hamlin had an excellent chance of recovery. He knew he was stable when the ambulance stopped at the tunnel to let his mother ride to the hospital with him. If he had still been in active cardiac arrest that would not have happened. He also said coding for a second time happens in 50% of these types of attacks.

He did raise the question of why the public can’t be informed of his jab status. There was another player on his team who did not take the shot. If Hamlin had not and this had happened, McCullough surmised it would have been all over the news. He also said the looks on his fellow player’s faces told the tale. He said they were ashen and they looked frightened. Likely they knew or suspected what was happening.

The fact that they keep releasing pictures of Hamlin looking progressively better is purposeful. While everyone wants this young man to recover completely, we also want questions answered. This is camouflage for now, until they can move us along and hope only “conspiracy theorists” keep asking.

"He also said the looks on his fellow player’s faces told the tale. He said they were ashen and they looked frightened. Likely they knew or suspected what was happening."

Another bad take of his, IMO.

I seriously doubt the poison shots were on their minds. It's quite likely that NONE of them had ever seen a player administered CPR on the playing field, and for NINE minutes, and that NONE of them had ever seen a player DFIBbed on the playing field. They were seeing, they thought, a fellow player dying in front of them. THAT is why they were ashen at that moment; not because they were thinking, "oh, it's the jab...am I next?"

I don't doubt that LATER on they may be thinking, "was it the jab?" But on the field, while a player is being CPR'd and DFIB'd in front of them, it was the likelihood that he was dying or dead that had them frightened.

Have to disagree on every point. I have been following Dr McCullough since later 2020. He is one of a handful of doctors who questioned the whole covid narrative being pushed. He questioned why ivermectin was not being routinely used in CoVid cases as a first line of treatment. He is a renowned cardiologist who knows what cardiac arrest looks like and has been on the forefront with myocarditis explosion. I disagree that they allowed his mother in the ambulance only because he was dead. That was my first thought when they carted him off but several other posters agreed that if he was dead they would not have worked on him so long, they would immediately have gotten him off the field. Dr McCullough also addressed the second coding in the hospital as happening 50% of the time. I personally in watching pro football, (and I don’t watch much), have seen two cases of gruesome head injuries and broken and dislocated legs, so sorry, I don’t believe that their ashen faces were because they had never seen anything like this. I am now going to wait and see what happens. If he goes completely from sight, I will ask questions, but this won’t stop what is happening and the connection needs to be made with the death jabs.

I don't dispute his credentials at all. But that doesn't make him omniscient and infallible.

I'm only saying that those two observations of his - after the fact (how convenient) - are questionable. Your rebuttal misrepresents almost everything I wrote.

You wrote, "I disagree that they allowed his mother in the ambulance only because he was dead." but that's NOT what I said. I only said that that - dead OR dying - was equally plausible as HIS explanation.

With regard to the second heart attack, I mentioned that as a counterargument to his saying that Hamlin was "stable". How many of those 50% "second heart attack" victims were considered "stable" after the first but before the second?

And again, the "this" in the statement "...because they had never seen anything like this..." is NOT referencing something akin to "gruesome head injuries and broken and dislocated legs". The "this" is referencing CPR being performed, and for NINE futile minutes, on a player ON the field, AND, that player being DFIB'd - unsuccessfully - ON the field. I guarantee you they have NEVER seen either of those, let alone BOTH of those, on the playing field, ever. That, IMO, is why they were ashen-faced and despondent. Not because they were thinking, "OMG, I got jabbed, I wonder if I'm next".

My rebuttal was my opinion, that’s all. I never said Dr McCullough was either omniscient or infallible. I wrote what I best remembered him saying. I believe he was giving his opinion as a cardiologist, what happened to Hamlin. What he said made sense to me. That neither makes it infallible or omniscient, he was asked and he replied. I may have rewrote what I believed I heard not exactly as it was stated. The media has become nothing but opinion and conjecture as they simply won’t ask pertinent questions and those with a reason to lie are blanketed by a complicit media.

I assume, though I do not know that you are a doctor or have some kind of pertinent medical degree. Your opinion would carry great weight, but still it would be opinion and conjecture since you were not on that field and saw what the rest of us were allowed to see. Conjecture at best, answered prayers at it’s finest, and rabbit holes everywhere.

"He knew he was stable when the ambulance stopped at the tunnel to let his mother ride to the hospital with him."

I think that was either a bad take, or Monday morning quarterbacking (no pun intended).

Hamlin suffered a *second* heart attack at the hospital, so I think it's a huge stretch to say he was "stable" when the ambulance let his mother into the vehicle. I could plausibly argue that they let her into the vehicle so that she would be by his side when he died (that is, that they expected him to die or it was at least a very real possibility at that point in time, so let mom in to say goodbye to her son).

I think McCullough is making this one up to make himself sound good, to sound like the outlier who knew all along how it would turn out.
