Affirmative. The first Limbaugh clip of that type I ever heard focused on the word "gravitas". Literally two dozen television reporters used the word "gravitas" describing the same story on the same day. This was no later than the mid 1990s.

It was 2000 when Bush announced Cheney as his VP selection. Cheney supposedly brought "gravitas" to the ticket. I'm pretty well read and had never heard that word in my life, suddenly every talking head in the country was saying it.

It didn't make sense to me back then as the libs hated Cheney, how could he bring "gravitas"? In hindsight his warmongering neocon impulses exactly aligned with the Intelligence Community's forever war plans. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, ad nauseum.

Sorry, @Jeff C, my reply belongs under yours:

Here's one such clip: https://youtu.be/oMO6Ic00or4?t=12

Rush talks about the more recent "dangerous to our democracy" talking point and then brings us back to 2000 when news networks talked about W. Bush's lack of "gravitas"
